7 Escape Rooms Worth Booking in KL & PJ — With 2026 Prices

The country's longest-running escape room chain, and the only one on this list that publishes a full per-player price table. Its Klang Valley escape rooms are at Avenue K and NU Sentral in KL; The Curve in Damansara hosts its Spy Game line rather than an escape room, which older listings get wrong. Standard rooms cost RM50 a player for two, dropping to RM45 for three or four, RM43 for five or six and RM42 for seven or eight — so a full group of eight pays RM336 in total. Its two premium rooms, Chamber of Hocus Remastered at Avenue K and Final Hour at NU Sentral, run RM56 down to RM45 on the same sliding scale. Sessions are 45 to 60 minutes for two to eight players, and rooms assign specific roles (a designated "lock master", for instance) rather than leaving everyone to solve everything at once. MAZE runs two outlets — Bandar Sunway (No 16, Jalan PJS 11/18, Petaling Jaya) and Quill City Mall KL (Lot 5-03, Jalan Sultan Ismail) — and its own channels split them by intensity: Quill City is billed as extreme horror, Sunway as mild horror, so you can dial the scare level by branch. Its signature is live NPC actors who interact with players mid-game rather than props-and-puzzles alone, across multi-path rooms. Per-room prices on its own site run roughly RM60 to RM150 depending on theme — Curse of Snake Valley and Dancing at RM60, The Scalpel RM90, Body of Distortion and Investigation File: Puller Hospital 1940 at RM100, Dancing 2 RM110, The Ghost Coffin RM120 and Old House RM150 — with the bigger rooms built for 5–8 players over 100 minutes. Mission-Q runs two Petaling Jaya branches — Sunway Pyramid (Unit F1.19A, First Floor, next to the bowling centre) and One Utama (F625, First Floor, 1 Utama E) — and pitches itself as a cinematic, movie-themed escape game. Each branch fields five rooms; the One Utama lineup covers Alcatraz Island, The Lost Kingdom, Midnight Inn, Temple of Immortality and Freedom, while Sunway runs The Harvest, Knock Knock Who's There, Tomb of Life & Death, The Imperial Mausoleum and Saving King Arthur. Rooms take 2–8 players over a 60-minute clock, each rated separately for difficulty and physical demand so you can match a room to your group rather than guess from the theme name. Professional actors play in-character roles inside the sets, and the operator publishes a dedicated corporate rate for team-building bookings. Worth knowing before you book anything else: this is the same venue that older guides still list separately as "Escape Room, Berjaya Times Square". Both brands point at Lot 07-96, Level 7, East Wing, and both describe the same six rooms — Vlad's Castle, Shangri-La, Art Thieves, Amazon Forest, Murder Mystery and Framed & Forsaken. One venue, two websites. Sessions run to a 45-minute clock rather than the usual hour, so it plays faster and tighter than anything else on this list, and at RM40 a head it is also the cheapest way in. The Bomb Battle now runs four Klang Valley venues — Sunway Pyramid (its flagship), Berjaya Times Square, Atria Shopping Gallery in PJ and The Curve — but the escape rooms are only at Berjaya Times Square, open daily 10am to 9.30pm. It left its original Cheras site, then left Mitsui Shopping Park Lalaport at BBCC, and now operates under the PartyBox 360 banner at Lot L4-40, Level 4, Sunway Putra Mall, 100 Jalan Putra, Chow Kit — the booking engine itself is labelled "Escape Room in Sunway Putra Mall". The genuinely useful bit is that it publishes a success rate per room: The Judge 62% and Haha Circus 60% at the forgiving end, down through Hide and Seek 45% and Patient No. 13 40% to Specimen Z at 38%. Practical caveats: a signed waiver on arrival, guardian consent for under-18s, an adult in the room for anyone 12 or under, grip socks compulsory, and a maximum weight limit of 80kg per player. Launched in 2018 by the team behind Breakout, Hauntu is horror theatre rather than an escape room, and it is worth taking that distinction literally. Its two productions are The Haunted Hotel at The LINC KL (360, Level 2, Jalan Tun Razak, Pudu) and The Mystical Dance Academy at The Curve (248, Level 2, Jalan PJU 7/3, Mutiara Damansara), each a 60-minute immersive run for a maximum of ten guests, where actors drive the story and there is no lock to pick. Pricing is refreshingly simple: a flat RM69 per player at both sites, with no adult, child, weekday or weekend split. The age rules are strict — children aged 7 and under are not admitted at all, and 8- to 14-year-olds need an adult with them. Both venues open 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday (from 4pm on Tuesdays), and 10am (The LINC) or 11am (The Curve) to 10pm at weekends. Book it if your group specifically wants to be scared; book almost anything else on this list if they don't.

The late-night option. LOST's Cheras outlet — actually at No. 39-1, Jalan Dataran Cheras 2, Dataran Perniagaan Cheras, Balakong, so give yourself parking time — opens noon to 9.45pm Monday to Thursday and noon to 11.45pm Friday to Sunday, with last games at 8.30pm and 10.15pm respectively. That is later than any mall-based venue on this list can manage. It runs a deliberately small, tightly curated lineup of three rooms rather than a big catalogue: Stranger Nights (a 1980s missing-friend story in an abandoned house), Project Noah, and Unseen (a sealed haunted church, 2 to 6 players). Several games use live actors who can act as ally or antagonist and change how the story resolves. A sister outlet at No. 22-1, Jalan Radin Bagus 6, Sri Petaling runs a different three — Until Death, Ninja and No Entry — and stays open to midnight at weekends.
