> Quick view: Queensbay Mall in Bayan Lepas is running Wings of Light, its Deepavali campaign, from 15 October to 15 November 2026. It is a spend-and-redeem ladder at the GF Information Counter (10.30am to 10.30pm). Each reward opens on its own date, from Deepavali packets at RM288 (open since 15 October) to a Madam Kwan's keropok at RM128 (from 8 November). Free activities run at the GF Central Atrium until 9 November. The first is St. Nicholas' Home's World Sight Day on Saturday 24 October, with free eye screening from 10.30am to 6pm. The RM100 CapitaPlus Top Spender draw still runs to 30 November. The NESCAFÉ roadshow ended on 11 October.

The Wings of Light redemptions, 15 October to 15 November

The mall lists the redemption campaign from 15 October to 15 November 2026. Six rewards open on staggered dates, each marked "onwards" on the mall's posters. You redeem at the GF Information Counter, open 10.30am to 10.30pm. The mall's posts pair every redemption with a link to join CapitaPlus, CapitaLand Malaysia's free rewards app. Sign up at member.capitaplus.com.my before you shop, so your receipts can be checked against your account.

There are two different receipt rules, and they decide whether a reward is in reach:

  • Up to two receipts, same day: the Deepavali packets and The Body Shop voucher. You can combine at most two receipts from the same day to reach the minimum.
  • One receipt only: the Boost, Kenangan Coffee, Lucky Cup and Madam Kwan's rewards. The minimum must be on a single receipt.

The ladder, in the order it opens:

  • From 15 October: Deepavali packets (peacock design), minimum RM288 in up to two same-day receipts.
  • From 23 October: Boost RM5 voucher, minimum RM128 in one receipt.
  • From 29 October: The Body Shop RM10 voucher, minimum RM188 in up to two same-day receipts.
  • From 30 October: Kenangan Coffee RM5 voucher, minimum RM128 in one receipt.
  • From 6 November: free Lucky Cup ice cream, minimum RM88 in one receipt.
  • From 8 November (Deepavali day): Madam Kwan's Keropok Ubi Kayu, minimum RM128 in one receipt.

The posters don't print quantities or a per-member cap. Go early in each window, and expect a reward to run out before 15 November.

Free activities at the Central Atrium, to 9 November

The mall lists the activity programme from 15 October to 9 November. Everything is at the GF Central Atrium, where the mall has set up a peacock-feather and lantern display.

  • Saturday 24 October, 10.30am to 6pm: World Sight Day 2026. It is organised by St. Nicholas' Home, Penang for its 100th anniversary, and co-organised by the Ophthalmology Department of Penang General Hospital. There is free eye health screening, a drawing competition and games.
  • Sunday 25 October, Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, 3pm: Dance & Rhythm by Arumugam Dance Academy.
  • Saturday 7 November, 2pm: Rangoli Sand Art Workshop (Q-Kids Club).
  • Saturday 7 November, 4pm: Peacock Felt Keychain Workshop (Q-Kids Club).

The two workshops carry the badge of Q-Kids Club, the mall's kids' club. The posters don't give a fee, an age range or how to book, so ask at the Information Counter before you plan around them.

Tenant offers listed for October

The mall's highlights page lists two tenant offers to 31 October:

  • NARS Cosmetics (GF-102): buy any Radiant Creamy Concealer and get a free Mini Light Reflecting Setting Powder, which NARS values at RM92. While stocks last.
  • Lacoste (GF-52): Mid-Season Sale, up to 50% off selected items in-store, plus multibuy deals.

Both run to 31 October, which overlaps the first redemption windows. A NARS concealer bought on 23 October counts toward a receipt for the Deepavali packets, if your two same-day receipts reach RM288.

Still live to 30 November: the 20th Anniversary Top Spender

Queensbay Mall turns 20 this year. Its anniversary draw is listed from 2 July to 30 November 2026:

  • Spend RM100 or more in a single receipt at the mall.
  • It is for CapitaPlus members only. Upload the receipt through the app.
  • The prize pool is RM22,000 in total.

This is a ranking for the biggest spenders, not a gift for every receipt. The same receipt you use for a Deepavali reward can also be uploaded here, but the mall doesn't say so in writing. Ask at the counter before you count on both.

Queensbay Mall x Alipay+ is also listed to 31 December 2026: up to MYR 528 off for visitors paying with Alipay+ partner wallets from their home country. Ask at the Information Counter.

Worked examples

  • A family shop on Friday 23 October. RM170 of clothes at one shop and RM130 at AEON on the same day comes to RM300 in two receipts, which clears RM288 for the Deepavali packets. The RM170 receipt is also over RM128 (the Boost RM5 voucher) and over RM100 (the Top Spender draw). The posters don't say whether one receipt can claim two rewards, so ask at the counter before you count on it.
  • Two small receipts don't stack for the food rewards. RM70 plus RM60 on the same day is RM130, but the Kenangan, Boost, Lucky Cup and Madam Kwan's rewards need RM128 or RM88 on one receipt. That pair gets nothing.
  • Saturday 24 October for the eye screening. Multi-level parking at weekends is RM2 for the first 2 hours, then RM1 an hour, so a 3-hour visit costs RM3.
  • Deepavali weekend. The Lucky Cup ice cream opens on Friday 6 November at RM88 on one receipt. Madam Kwan's keropok opens on Sunday 8 November at RM128.

Who should go, and who should skip

Go if you're already doing Deepavali shopping in Bayan Lepas, Batu Maung or the FIZ area, and your bill will clear RM128 or RM288 anyway. Go too for the free eye screening on 24 October, or with kids on 7 November.

Skip a special drive if you're after a mall-wide sale. Wings of Light is a gift-with-purchase ladder, not a discount: the most you can get from one receipt is an RM5 or RM10 voucher, or a snack. Don't pad a bill to reach RM288 for packets you could buy for a few ringgit. For a store-wide Deepavali sale, see AEON's Deepavali deals, which run to 9 November. Queensbay has an AEON Supermarket on its LG floor, but check which of those deals a supermarket-only branch carries.

For early starts: who opens before the mall

The mall opens at 10.30am. Several tenants open earlier, according to the mall's own "Early Risers" and "Here for Your Convenience" cards:

  • Coffee and breakfast: The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (GF South) from 7.30am; Starbucks (GF North) and GravyBaby (GF North) from 8am; HWC Coffee (2F North) from 8.30am; Oriental Kopi (LG South), Rich Baker (LG Centre) and Winter Warmers (GF North) from 9am.
  • Errands: AEON Supermarket (LG South) from 9am. Celebrity Fitness (3F South) from 7am on weekdays and 8am at weekends. Aeroline's counter (GF North) is open 8am to 6pm. Pos Malaysia (GF North) is open 10am to 6pm and closed on public holidays.
  • Banks keep office hours: Maybank (1F North) is open 10am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. CIMB (LG North) is open 10.30am to 5.40pm Monday to Thursday and to 5pm on Friday. Both close at weekends and on public holidays.
  • Tesla Supercharger: LM car park, South Zone, 10.30am to 10.30pm.

Getting there and parking

Queensbay Mall is at 100 Persiaran Bayan Indah, 11900 Bayan Lepas, on the island's south-east coast near the airport. Mall hours are 10.30am to 10.30pm, and the Information Counter is on 04-619 8989. The car park is ticketless: tap a Visa, Mastercard, MyDebit or Touch 'n Go card at entry and exit.

  • Basement, Monday to Friday: RM1 for the first hour, then RM1 each hour after. Weekends and public holidays: RM2 for the first hour, then RM1 each hour after.
  • Multi-level, Monday to Friday: RM1 for the first 2 hours, then RM1 each hour after. Weekends and public holidays: RM2 for the first 2 hours, then RM1 each hour after.
  • VIP: RM5 for the first hour, then RM2 each hour after. Motorcycles: RM1 per entry.

The campaigns that ended (the record)

The World of NESCAFÉ ("Hidupkan Duniamu"), 7 to 11 October 2026. This was the last stop of NESCAFÉ's 88th-year mall tour, at the GF Central Atrium, with Black Hanifah performing on 10 October. Also ended in early October: the ChaPanda Osmanthus offer (7 October), the MILO roadshow and the Bath & Body Works bouquet (4 October), and Joy Diary's opening voucher (5 October). The Braun Büffel tourist 10% card (GF-90) had been listed to 31 December, but it is no longer on the mall's highlights page, so ask in store.

Autumn Radiance (Mid-Autumn), 3 to 27 September 2026. Mooncake Street had 12 brands at LG Centre Zone. Three CapitaPlus redemptions ran: RM50 in one receipt for a lantern, RM100 for an Oriental Fan Art session, and RM588 across two receipts for an HWC Coffee mooncake.

"Our Malaysia, Our Pride" (Merdeka), 22 August to 20 September 2026. A spend ladder opened one rung at a time, from RM100 for a POPULAR RM5 voucher to RM388 for a batik handkerchief. Q-Kids heritage workshops and free Dewan Budaya USM performances ran alongside.

How we verified this

Its events page lists Wings of Light Redemption (15 October to 15 November), Wings of Light Activities & Performance (15 October to 9 November), the St. Nicholas' Home World Sight Day (24 October) and the 20th Anniversary draw (2 July to 30 November). The reward dates, minimum spends and receipt rules, and the activity times, were read off the campaign posters in each event's gallery. The Information Counter location and hours come from the mall's 15 October Instagram post. The 19 October post confirms that the packets need two same-day receipts. The co-organiser of the eye screening comes from the mall's 15 October post. The NARS and Lacoste offers come from the mall's highlights page. The car park rates were read on 23 September; the card is listed to 31 December.
