Checked on 2 October 2026, 15 of its 23 entries print an end date in September, and Thai Odyssey's RM160 cashback, which says "this month", meant September as well. What is actually live this month is a shorter list. Kidzooona is at RM28 on weekdays and RM38 at weekends until 15 October. POPULAR at Lot 3-38 has two chain-wide campaigns the mall does not list: Good Reads, Great Value until 11 October and Member's Syok Giler Treats from 2 October to 1 November. Seoul Garden HotPot gives 50% off a second main in your birthday month, and Sushi King's members' happy hour runs every weekday afternoon.

What is live in October, sorted by deadline

  • POPULAR Good Reads, Great Value, until 11 October. 3rd floor, Lot 3-38. Monami glue sticks at RM3 nett (usual RM6.70/RM7.50) for the first 10,000 customers with any purchase, plus PWP items and marked-down titles. Details below.
  • Kidzooona admission, until 15 October. 3rd floor. RM28 on weekdays against RM35, RM38 at weekends against RM45.
  • Thai Odyssey Lunch Retreat, to 31 October (call ahead). 2nd floor, Lot 2-34 and 2-35. 30-minute half body massage at RM49 against RM70, 12pm to 2pm on weekdays.
  • Program Baucar Buku MADANI, to 31 October. POPULAR honours the government book voucher through Kota Buku. This is not a mall promotion.
  • POPULAR Member's Syok Giler Treats, 2 October to 1 November. 30% off regular-priced books and 40% off selected stationery, but only on the day you sign up for or renew a Privilege Card.
  • Standing offers: Seoul Garden HotPot's birthday deal (Lot 1-37) and Sushi King's members' happy hour (lower ground, B-2 and B-3).
  • Undated, so ask first: Swarovski, JD Sports, Vinstella, Maxis.

The 15 dead offers still on the mall's page

Suria Sabah does not take an offer down when it ends, so the list still looks busy. Every one of these prints its own past end date in the caption:

  • Ended mid-September: Ayam Gepuk Mantap's opening buy 1 free 1 (15 September only); Ju Xiang's 10% storewide (16 September); POPULAR Super Holiday (16 September); DRUM's RM16/RM31/RM57 ladder (16 September); Lea Centre's clearance, Sushi Zanmai's Cheesy Hokkaido Roll and Sushihan's RM10 patriotic-dress voucher (all 17 September); Kitchen Shop's up-to-63% Malaysia Day sale and Rip Curl's RM69 styles (both 20 September).
  • Ended 30 September: Sushi King's free blind-box plushie, Vans' and Columbia's extra 30% on two items, Fitness Concept's mega sale and RM100 birthday rebate, POPULAR Comic Carnival 6.0, and the app-member Western Tailor perfume samples.

Sushi King has also dropped the plushie campaign from its own promotions index. That index now lists only standing offers, which is how the brand retires a campaign.

Kidzooona: the one deadline that matters

Kidzooona's poster prints both the promotional and the normal price, which most offers in this building do not: weekday RM28 against RM35, weekend RM38 against RM45, from 15 August to 15 October 2026. After 15 October, plan on the normal price unless the brand announces an extension.

There is also a happy hour: 20% off any admission after 5pm on weekdays, with no end date. The caption still does not say which price that 20% comes off. From RM28 it would be RM22.40. From RM35 it would be RM28, which is no better than walking in at 2pm. Ask before you pay. Kidzooona is at part of Lot 3-42A, 3-59 and 3-60 on the 3rd floor. Third-party ticket sites that show Lot 2-17 on the 2nd floor are out of date.

POPULAR: two October campaigns the mall does not list

The mall's page still carries POPULAR's September campaigns. POPULAR's own promotions page shows what replaced them at every POPULAR and HARRIS store, including Lot 3-38.

Good Reads, Great Value, 25 September to 11 October 2026.

  • Monami glue sticks (8g 3-pack or 15g 2-pack) at RM3 nett each, against RM6.70/RM7.50. Limited to the first 10,000 customers with any purchase, one per receipt.
  • PWP on a RM60 nett spend: a POP BAZIC steel coffee mug at RM29.90 (usual RM59.90) or UGREEN HiTune P3 wireless earbuds at RM49.90 (usual RM69). The PWP price doesn't count towards the RM60.
  • Marked-down titles, including Girl in Pieces Deluxe Edition at RM29 (usual RM49.95), the Malay edition of The Psychology of Money at RM37.50 (RM50) and 原子习惯 (Atomic Habits, Chinese) at RM33.90 (RM53.80).
  • Free gifts: a POPULAR mini tote when you sign up for or renew the three-year Privilege Card (RM25), or a PILOT Juice gel pen with a new one-year POPULAR Card (RM12).

The poster's fine print says prices differ between Peninsular and East Malaysian stores. Some titles carry two list prices, marked "Sem" (Peninsula) and "S/S" (Sabah/Sarawak). Pay attention to the S/S figure in KK.

Member's Syok Giler Treats, 2 October to 1 November 2026. On the same day you sign up for or renew a three-year POPULAR Privilege Card (RM25), you get 30% off regular-priced books and 40% off selected stationery. Textbooks, assessment books, nett-priced items and promotional items are excluded. The limit is one unit per product, 10 books and 10 stationery items, on a single receipt.

Across town, POPULAR is also running a bookfair at 1Borneo Hypermall, lower ground centre atrium, 2 to 14 October. That one is not at Suria Sabah.

Seoul Garden HotPot: the birthday deal

1st floor, Lot 1-37. In the celebrant's birthday month, the second à la carte main is 50% off. It must be of equal or lower value, and the limit is one per table per order. Bring proof of date of birth. It cannot be combined with other promotions, and the restaurant asks you to book.

Thai Odyssey: September's RM900 deal is over

The mall caption still advertises "RM160 cashback with the Malaysia Day RM900 Package, available this month". That was September's offer. On 2 October, Thai Odyssey's packages page lists only its standard tiers:

  • RM1,000 package: RM100 cashback, 1,000 points, valid 12 months
  • RM2,000 package: RM250 cashback, 2,000 points, valid 18 months
  • RM3,000 package: RM400 cashback, 3,000 points, valid 24 months

All packages carry 8% SST. September's deal returned 17.8%, while the entry tier now returns 10%. If you missed it, there is no reason to rush into a package this month.

The same caption still lists the RM49 weekday lunch half body massage (12pm to 2pm, usual RM70). The brand's page previously dated it to 31 October at "selected outlets" but no longer shows a promotions block. Call the Suria Sabah branch before planning a lunch break around it.

Sushi King: the plushie is gone, the standing offers are not

  • Members' happy hour: 20% off all items, weekdays 3pm to 6pm, dine-in, not on public holidays. You must order and pay inside the window.
  • All-Day Value Meals: RM15.90 in East Malaysia (RM14.90 in West Malaysia), all of 2026. They are not valid at weekends, on public holidays or during school holidays, and not at kiosks.

Undated offers: worth a question, not a trip

  • Swarovski (Kiosk G-J1, ground floor): up to 30% off selected styles, "for a limited time".
  • JD Sports (ground floor, G-39, G-50, G-53 to G-57): an extra 15% when you buy two or more marked-down items.
  • Vinstella (Kiosk 1-K5, 1st floor): a free UPF 50+ mini umbrella with any two items on one bill or any VLD Collection ring.
  • Maxis: iPhone 18 pre-orders from RM84 a month on Maxis Postpaid.

None of these prints an end date. The mall has shown it leaves expired captions up for weeks, so being on the page doesn't prove an offer is still running.

Worked examples

  • A weekday afternoon with one child. Kidzooona at RM28 instead of RM35 saves RM7. Do it before 15 October.
  • A book haul with the card. Five regular-priced novels at RM50 each come to RM250. With a RM25 Privilege Card sign-up on the same day, 30% off saves RM75, so you finish RM50 ahead. The card pays for itself once regular-priced books pass RM83.33. Below that, skip it.
  • A RM60 basket at POPULAR before 11 October. It unlocks the UGREEN earbuds at RM49.90 instead of RM69, saving RM19.10, but only if you wanted earbuds anyway.
  • A birthday hotpot for two. If both mains are RM40, the second is RM20, saving RM20. If the mains are RM40 and RM30, the RM30 one is halved, saving RM15.

Who should go, and who should skip

Go if you have a child to entertain before 15 October, or a stack of regular-priced books to buy. The POPULAR card offer is the largest genuine percentage in the building this month. Go if someone has an October birthday and you were already thinking about hotpot.

Skip if you are hoping for a mall-wide sale. Suria Sabah has no October campaign of its own, and most of what is on its page has ended. Don't use the mall's page alone to decide. Check the dates in every caption and confirm undated offers at the shop.

Getting there

Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, 1, Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, Pusat Bandar Kota Kinabalu, 88000 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Open daily 10am to 10pm, general line 088-487 087. It is walkable from most waterfront hotels, and Hotel7Suria is in the same complex.

Parking is cashless and ticketless, 24 hours. Tap a Visa, Mastercard, MyDebit or UnionPay card at the barrier on the way in and the same card on the way out. The fee is charged automatically. The mall publishes no rate card. Season card holders use the 8th floor payment counter, and the car park hotline is 017 812 8299.
