> Quick view: Xventure Penang opens on Thursday 29 October 2026 at The Waterfront Shoppes, The Light City. From 29 October to 1 November, the first 100 customers who buy a ticket can buy a second ticket for RM1. A weekday pair of 2-hour adult tickets then costs RM61 instead of RM120. On the weekend, the same pair costs RM81.

What is opening
Xventure is an indoor adventure park brand spun off from the Kiztopia group, with parks listed in Thailand and Hong Kong and a Singapore outlet due on 20 November. Penang is its first Malaysian outlet, a reported RM8 million build of 1,800 square metres on the second floor of The Waterfront Shoppes. That is the retail part of The Light City in Gelugor, which soft-opens on the same day. Xventure's own outlet list already names a second Malaysian park, at Sunway Velocity in Kuala Lumpur, due in early 2027.
Xventure's Penang outlet page lists 11 zones: Inflatable Park, Jump Arena, Obstacle Course, Zip Line, Challenger Arena, Sports Arena, Slide Park, Interactive Play, Rope Course, Climb Zone and Digital Play Zone. Its posts count 32 challenges in all. The pitch is "less playground, more adventure". It is aimed at teenagers, adults and groups as much as at small children, which sets it apart from soft-play centres.
How the RM1 second ticket works
- Go on 29 October to 1 November. The offer was announced with the opening and runs for these four days only.
- Buy one ticket. The first 100 customers who do can then buy a second ticket for RM1, subject to availability.
- Be early on day one. Doors open at 11.30am on 29 October and at 10am on the other three days. The announcement does not say whether the 100 is a daily or a total quota. Treat it as a total and go on Thursday morning if you really want it.
- Sign the waiver first. Xventure asks every visitor to sign an online waiver (waiveitoff.com/xventure-malaysia), and doing it at home saves queue time.
Xventure's posts point online buyers to its Trip.com listing. The RM1 deal appeared in the launch announcement, not on Trip.com, so ask at the counter whether it applies to online tickets before you pay.
The official price list
From Xventure Malaysia's own price poster (Instagram, 14 October):
- X-Junior (108cm and below): 2 hours RM40 non-peak / RM50 peak; all day RM50 / RM60.
- X-Plorer (109cm and above): 2 hours RM60 / RM80; all day RM70 / RM90.
- X-2 (1 X-Junior + 1 X-Plorer): 2 hours RM90 / RM117; all day RM108 / RM135.
- X-10 (10 X-Plorer tickets): 2 hours RM510 / RM680; all day RM595 / RM765.
- Annual Pass: RM900 for 12 months, all day, any day.
Peak means weekends, public holidays and school holidays. Non-peak is Monday to Friday outside those. Categories are set by height, not age, so a tall eight-year-old pays the X-Plorer price.
Worked examples
- Two adults, Thursday 29 or Friday 30 Oct, 2 hours: RM60 + RM1 = RM61, or RM30.50 each, against RM120 normally.
- Two adults, Saturday 31 Oct or Sunday 1 Nov, 2 hours: RM80 + RM1 = RM81. Still about half price, but RM20 more than a weekday.
- Parent plus a child under 108cm on a weekday, no promo: the X-2 bundle is RM90, RM10 less than RM60 + RM40 bought separately. On a peak day, X-2 is RM117 against RM130.
- 2 hours or all day? All day costs only RM10 more for an X-Plorer (RM70 against RM60 on a weekday). If you plan to stay past two hours, buy all day upfront.
- Office or birthday group of 10, weekday: X-10 at RM510 works out to RM51 per head, 15% below the single price.
- Annual Pass: RM900 divided by the RM80 peak 2-hour price is about 11 weekend visits. It only pays off for regulars who live nearby.
Two more offers worth knowing
- X-Challenge, 7, 14 and 21 November (Saturdays), 10am-3pm: complete a timed challenge in the Challenger Arena to win an RM90 X-Plorer All-Day ticket, plus 2 hours of free play after the challenge. The fastest players can win an RM900 Annual Pass. It is capped at 100 challengers a day, and registration is through the link in Xventure's 23 September post.
- X20 Birthday Rush: the first 20 birthday parties booked get 20% off the party package (playtime, private room, party meal, goodie bags and a host), booked by WhatsApp.
The pre-opening X-10 "XTRA10" extra 10% off ends on 28 October, and the earlier 50% off pre-sale tickets were limited to 100 in total. Do not count on either still being available.
Who should go, and who should wait
Go during the promo if you live on the island, can make a weekday slot and want to try the park with a partner or friend for about RM30 each. Teens and adults get the most out of it, because the zip line, climbing and timed challenges are built for bigger bodies.
Wait if you need a weekend, have toddlers only, or hate crowds. A brand-new park in a brand-new mall during its opening week will be busy. Some mall tenants are also opening in stages, so food and parking around The Light City may still be settling in.
Fine print that trips people up
- Grip socks are compulsory for everyone, as Xventure's price list states. Bring your own if allowed, or budget for buying a pair at the counter.
- News reports quote RM40 and RM60 as the start prices. Those are the non-peak 2-hour prices. Weekends cost RM50 and RM80.
- "Subject to availability" applies to the RM1 ticket. Once 100 customers have used it, it is gone.
- Height decides the category. Staff may measure children at the counter.
