Malaysia lost two cinema chains in eighteen months. mmCineplexes shut all 13 halls on 22 September 2025 after its parent entered creditors' voluntary liquidation, and MBO Cinemas closed its remaining eight sites in March 2026. We checked every surviving operator's own website on 7 September 2026, all the way through to the ticket-type screen, and found that the two chains everyone dismisses as obscure are the two that print their prices most plainly. Dadi Cinema shows a ringgit figure beside every showtime before you click anything. Mega Cineplex reveals adult, twin and Premier Hall prices two clicks in, with no login.
