> Quick view: HLK's Merdeka Clearance Sale at Wisma WCC, Bayu Perdana ended on 31 August 2026. What replaced it runs at all of HLK's outlets, including the three in Klang: a 26th Anniversary Spend & Win that gives one prize-draw entry for every receipt of RM500 or more until 31 October, and the RM200 NUR:Domestik e-rebate on 4- and 5-star air-conditioners and refrigerators.

Is the HLK Merdeka Clearance Sale still on?

No. The clearance ran from 14 to 31 August 2026 at one outlet, HLK's Wisma WCC store in Taman Bayu Perdana, and it has ended. HLK has not extended it, and the September banners on its own store site, hlkonline.my, advertise two different offers instead. Neither is a storewide markdown like the clearance. One is a prize draw and the other is a government rebate that HLK applies for you at the counter.

The good news for Klang shoppers is that both run at every HLK outlet, not just Bayu Perdana.

What's live at HLK now

1. 26th Anniversary Spend & Win: 1 September to 31 October 2026

HLK opened its first branch in Balakong in 2000, and it is marking 26 years with a draw for RM88,000 worth of prizes. The campaign period is 1 September to 31 October 2026. HLK's campaign post on Facebook sets out four steps, and you have to complete all four to be eligible to win:

  1. Spend RM500 or more in a single receipt at HLK. Each qualifying receipt earns one entry.
  2. Like and follow HLK's official Facebook page.
  3. Register your entry by scanning the QR code in-store or filling in the online form linked from HLK's campaign post.
  4. Share the campaign post publicly with the hashtag #HLK26thAnniversary and tag three friends in the comments.

Winners are picked at random, announced on HLK's Facebook page and told by phone. You must give your full name, NRIC number and contact details, and collect the prize in person at any HLK outlet within two weeks of being notified, or you lose it. Winners also have to take part in a photo session for HLK's marketing and agree that HLK can use their name and photos in promotions. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, and HLK can swap a prize for another item of equal value.

The campaign banner lists 14 brands: Haier, Philips, SHARP, Midea, Toshiba, Skyworth, Samsung, Panasonic, Hisense, ELBA, Faber, Livinox, DEKA and TCL.

2. RM200 NUR:Domestik e-rebate, at every HLK outlet

This is the government's energy-efficiency rebate run by SEDA Malaysia. It gives RM200 off a selected 4- or 5-star energy-rated air-conditioner or refrigerator, and HLK has offered it at all its outlets since 1 July 2026. HLK's own instructions are three steps:

  1. Go to an HLK outlet with your MyKad and a recent electricity bill.
  2. HLK staff check your eligibility and apply on your behalf.
  3. The RM200 comes off the price of the qualifying unit at the counter.

SEDA's conditions matter more than the retailer's:

  • You must be a Malaysian citizen and the registered holder of a domestic electricity account with TNB, SESB, SEB or NDSB.
  • One electricity account gets one e-rebate, for one appliance. It covers an aircon *or* a fridge, not both on the same account.
  • You cannot have claimed under the previous round, NUR@PETRA 2025.
  • Only 2026 purchases count, and rebates are given first come, first served until the quota runs out.
  • You can check your eligibility yourself in advance on SEDA's checker at nur.seda.gov.my.

The star rating has to be printed on the unit's energy label (issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga, or ECoS in Sabah). Check the label before you commit to a model.

HLK's outlets in Klang

HLK's outlet list names three stores in Klang, with a fourth just south in Telok Panglima Garang. All four open 10am to 9pm daily, and all run both offers above:

  • Bayu Perdana (Wisma WCC): PT. 42020-GF & 1F, Wisma WCC, Jalan Batu Unjur 7/KS01, Taman Bayu Perdana, 41200 Klang. Tel 03-3319 0561. This was the clearance-sale store.
  • Bukit Raja: No. 2 & 4, Lorong Astana 1A/KU 2, Bandar Bukit Raja, 41050 Klang. Tel 03-3359 2403.
  • Bandar Botanik: No. 77G & 79G, Jalan Mahogani 5, Bandar Botanic, 41200 Klang. Tel 03-3319 0681.
  • Tropicana Aman: No. 33G, 35G & 37G, Jalan Aman Sinaria 2, Bandar Tropicana Aman, 42500 Telok Panglima Garang. Tel 03-8682 5706.

Google Maps shows the Bayu Perdana and Bandar Botanik stores open and flags that Malaysia Day hours (Wednesday 16 September) might differ. Call ahead if you plan to shop on the public holiday.

Across the chain, HLK's outlet list names 22 stores in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Penang and Kedah. Its About page still describes the network as Klang Valley and Perak only.

How the RM500 entry rule works in practice

The rule counts receipts, not your total spend over the two months. Worked against prices on HLK's own online store:

  • A Panasonic 2200W steam iron (NI-S430GSK) is RM119 online. On its own receipt it earns no entry, because it is under RM500.
  • A Midea 1.0HP wall-split aircon, basic R32 model (MSMF-10CRN8) is RM929 online, down from a listed RM1,239. One receipt over RM500 earns one entry.
  • Buying both on one receipt comes to RM1,048, which is at least one entry.

HLK's post says "more spend = more entries", but its written terms only say that each receipt of RM500 and above earns one entry. They do not say whether a single RM1,000 receipt earns two. Ask the cashier how your receipt will be counted before you pay.

The terms also do not say whether the RM500 is measured before or after the RM200 NUR rebate. That matters for a cheaper qualifying fridge or aircon near the threshold. If a unit is RM650 before the rebate, it is RM450 after it, so confirm at the counter which figure goes on the receipt.

HLK's online store lists only two wall-split aircons, both Midea basic R32 models. HLK describes the NUR rebate as an in-store process with staff checking your MyKad and bill, so the rebate and the widest aircon range are both in the stores, not online.

Who these offers suit, and who should skip

  • Suits: anyone in Klang already replacing a big appliance. An aircon, fridge, washer or TV clears RM500 easily, so the draw entry costs nothing extra. If the unit is a 4- or 5-star aircon or fridge, you can stack the RM200 NUR rebate on the same trip.
  • Suits: households that have not used a NUR rebate before. It is one per electricity account, so a first-time claimant gets the full RM200.
  • Skip the draw if you do not want your name and photo used in HLK's marketing. Winning requires a photo session and consent to promotional use. You also have to share the post publicly and tag three people.
  • Skip the rebate if your household already claimed under NUR@PETRA 2025, or the unit you want is below 4 stars.

Elsewhere in the chain: Haier Malaysia Day Savings, Alor Setar only

HLK is also running a Haier "Supreme Malaysia Day Savings" event from 14 to 27 September 2026, but only at HLK Simpang Kuala, Alor Setar in Kedah. It is not on in Klang.

What the Merdeka Clearance offered, for the record

The August sale ran 14-31 August 2026, 10am-9pm daily, at the Wisma WCC, Bayu Perdana store only. It advertised up to 70% off selected TVs, air-conditioners, washers and small appliances. HLK's posters priced these models, each against its recommended retail price:

  • Livinox water heater with DC pump (LWH-ARIMA-DC-PW): RM359, down from RM458
  • Silenz 56-inch ceiling fan with remote (GT56(MB)): RM149, down from RM289
  • Panasonic 2200W steam iron (NI-W650CS): RM129, down from RM197
  • Mistral 32L electric oven (MO-32RCL): RM99, down from RM299
  • Philips 2.0L jar rice cooker (HD-3119): RM79, down from RM219

A Haier 50-inch 4K Google QLED TV was advertised from RM1,099 and selected SHARP inverter aircons and washers from RM999, without model codes. Selected SHARP J-Tech inverter models came with a 5-year warranty. None of the five poster models is listed on HLK's online store, which fits clearance stock sold only in that store.

Fine print

  • The Spend & Win counts single receipts of RM500 or more. Only entrants who complete all four steps can win, and HLK's decision is final.
  • Prizes must be collected in person at an HLK outlet within two weeks of notification. Uncollected prizes are forfeited.
  • HLK can amend the campaign terms at any time without notice.
  • The NUR e-rebate is limited to one per domestic electricity account, for 2026 purchases, while SEDA's quota lasts.
  • Online prices on hlkonline.my are a guide. Confirm the in-store price and stock at your outlet.
