> Quick view: until 31 October 2026, Jungle Gym's yearly Jungle Gym Club membership costs RM198 for a child with a MyKid (normal price RM450) or RM288 without one. After that, each visit costs the member child RM20 instead of the RM66 walk-in kid price. It is a good buy for families who go most weekends, and a poor one for families who only drop in for an hour on a weekday.

Jungle Gym is the indoor playground chain with soft-play mazes, rope bridges, slides and ball pits in malls around the Klang Valley, plus outlets in Penang, Johor and Genting. Its Facebook page has pushed the membership three times in the past two days, with a "last chance" countdown and a reminder that the haze is a good reason to play indoors. We checked the offer against Jungle Gym's own membership page, its FAQ and terms, and the entry-rate board on its pricing page.

What the numbers are

From Jungle Gym's own entry-rate board:

  • Kid (2 to 16 years): RM66 normal, RM20 for MyKid members, RM30 for non-MyKid members.
  • Toddler (below 2): RM35 normal, RM20 MyKid member, RM30 non-MyKid member.
  • Guardian (17 and above): RM10 for everyone, member or not.
  • Infants under 12 months enter free with one paying sibling.
  • Weekday hourly rate for non-members: RM28 for the first hour, RM20 for each additional hour (kids and toddlers only, weekdays only).

The membership itself is RM198 a year with a MyKid or RM288 for a child without one (for example, foreign children registering with a passport). Both are down from RM450. The membership poster says the RM198 rate is the promotional one ending 31 October.

How to sign up

  1. Go to junglegym.my and open the Jungle Gym Club page, or register at the counter of any participating outlet.
  2. Have your child's MyKid ready (a passport for non-Malaysian children). The membership is tied to that one child, and adults cannot register without one.
  3. Pay RM198 (or RM288). The 12 months start on the registration date, not on your first visit.
  4. Collect the welcome kit (one pair of Jungle Gym socks and a button badge) at an outlet, subject to stock.
  5. On each visit, show your membership at the counter and pay RM20 for the child plus RM10 for each accompanying adult. No pre-booking is needed.

When it pays for itself

Each weekend or full-price visit saves you RM46 (RM66 minus RM20). Against the RM198 fee:

  • After 4 visits you have paid RM198 + RM80 = RM278, against RM264 at walk-in prices. You are still RM14 behind.
  • After 5 visits it is RM298 against RM330. You are RM32 ahead, and every visit after that saves another RM46.
  • A family that goes twice a month (24 visits a year) pays RM198 + RM480 = RM678 instead of RM1,584, a saving of RM906.

The birthday perk adds to this: members get two free kids' entry passes by email in the child's birthday month, worth RM132 at walk-in prices if you use both.

Now the weaker cases:

  • One-hour weekday visits: a non-member pays only RM28, so membership saves RM8 a visit. You need 25 visits before the RM198 is covered.
  • Two-hour weekday visits: a non-member pays RM28 + RM20 = RM48, so membership saves RM28. You come out ahead on the 8th visit.
  • Toddlers: RM35 at the door against RM20, a RM15 saving, so about 14 visits to break even.
  • Non-MyKid membership: RM288, then RM30 a visit, saving RM36 against RM66. You only get ahead on the 9th visit.

Who it's good for, and who should skip it

Good for: families with one child aged roughly 3 to 10 who already treat Jungle Gym as their default weekend or school-holiday outing, live near an outlet, and expect to go at least once a month. With no blackout dates and no fixed session limit (the FAQ says session length depends on crowd conditions), weekend and public holiday visits are where the savings are biggest.

Skip it if you visit only on weekday mornings for an hour (the RM28 hourly rate is already cheap), your child is about to outgrow soft play, or you have two or more children. Each membership covers one child and siblings cannot share, so two kids means RM396 up front. That still pays off for frequent visitors (two kids save RM92 per weekend visit, so you are ahead on the 5th), but it is a bigger bet.

Where you can use it

Jungle Gym says it has 19 outlets. Its outlet page lists Bangsar Shopping Centre, Berjaya Times Square, Bloomsvale (Jalan Puchong), KL East Mall, Lalaport BBCC, Pearl Point and Sunway Velocity in KL; Central i-City (Shah Alam), Quayside Mall and Sanctuary Mall @ Eco Sanctuary (both in Telok Panglima Garang), The Starling (Damansara Utama), Sunsuria Forum (Setia Alam), Majestic Labs (Semenyih) and Hextar World at Empire City (PJ) in Selangor; The TOP in Penang; Sunway Big Box and Horizon Mall (Iskandar Puteri) in Johor; and First World Plaza in Genting. SKS City Mall in JB is still marked as opening in 2026, so call before going.

Fine print that trips people up

  • Genting is different. At Jungle Gym First World Plaza Genting, the member price is RM30 for one hour only, not RM20 with no time limit.
  • Adults still pay. Parents are not included; each guardian pays the RM10 entry.
  • Socks are compulsory for everyone. The welcome kit gives your child one pair.
  • Non-refundable and non-transferable. You cannot cancel for a refund, move it to a sibling, or share it.
  • No stacking. Birthday passes and member café prices cannot be combined with other promotions.
  • Party perks need a party package. The free balloon arch, mascot appearance, birthday child entry and one-hour room extension only apply when you book an eligible birthday package in advance.
  • GP Meta Kart and Ninja Jungle Gym at RM10 are a member bonus, but Jungle Gym does not list which outlets have them. Ask your nearest branch.
  • Terms can change. The FAQ says management can amend benefits and terms without notice, and the membership does not renew automatically.

Worked example: a weekend family in Petaling Jaya

One 6-year-old, two parents, visiting The Starling every other Saturday for a year (26 visits).

  • Without membership: 26 x (RM66 + RM20 for two adults) = RM2,236.
  • With MyKid membership: RM198 + 26 x (RM20 + RM20) = RM1,238.
  • Saving: RM998, before counting the two birthday-month passes.

If the same family only goes four times in the year, membership costs RM198 + 4 x RM40 = RM358 against RM344 at walk-in prices. That is RM14 more for the privilege. Be honest about how often you will really go before 31 October.
