The Merdeka sale season is over. It conventionally ran from mid-August to Malaysia Day on 16 September, bridging Hari Merdeka on 31 August. The last Merdeka-badged offer this page tracked, Setel's Groceries Galore cashback, ended on 30 September 2026.

Two things that started during the Merdeka window have outlived it, and both are still worth money. A third, unrelated campaign from Setel runs for another nine days. They are below, with what they cost.

What ended, and when

  • Perfect Livin Lifestyle Home Expo, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre: 14 to 16 August 2026.
  • Adidas Malaysia's Merdeka window: 25 to 31 August 2026.
  • Sunway Pyramid's Malaysia in Motion: 21 August to 20 September 2026, 23:59.
  • LEGOLAND's MERDEKA Fest: 27 August to 20 September 2026.
  • Setel's Groceries Galore Merdeka Special (RM6.90 cashback on a RM100 spend at MYDIN, AEON BiG and Lotus's self-checkout): ended 30 September 2026. It is no longer listed on Setel's promotions page.
  • Pizza Hut's Merdeka Storewide Sale, the collection that carried 50% off Regular Pizza at RM17.50: on 22 October it is no longer in Pizza Hut's list of live collections. The Merdeka Missions 69-sen voucher loop never came back after August.
  • LEGOLAND's Buy 1 Free 1 day tickets: the page that sold them returns a 404 on 22 October 2026.

LEGOLAND Malaysia: the RM88 Water Park ticket, five weeks left

This is the most valuable thing left from the Merdeka window. LEGOLAND Malaysia's own page sells a Malaysian Resident Water Park ticket at RM88 a person for adults, children and seniors aged 3 and up. Toddlers aged 0 to 2 enter free.

  • Who can buy it: Malaysian citizens and eligible residents, including long-term pass holders. A MyKad, MyKid or long-term residency document is checked at the gate.
  • How: online only. You pick a visit date when you book, and the ticket is valid for that one day only.
  • Deadline: the visit date must be on or before 30 November 2026.
  • What it does not cover: the Theme Park and SEA LIFE Malaysia.
  • The trap: LEGOLAND states that the Water Park is closed every Tuesday, and the Theme Park every Wednesday, except on public holidays and key school holiday periods. Check the opening-hours page before you pick a Tuesday.

A family of two adults and two children aged 3 or over pays RM352 for four RM88 tickets. At the list prices of RM149 per adult and RM129 per child, the same family would pay RM556, so the offer saves RM204.

If you want the Theme Park instead, the standing Book Now & Save 20% offer is the only discount on it. A 1-Day Theme Park ticket drops from RM205 to RM164 for an adult and from RM175 to RM140 for a child. A Triple-Park ticket, which covers the Water Park too, drops from RM345 to RM276. It is online only and must be booked at least five days ahead.

LEGOLAND's Halloween event, Brick-or-Treat, runs to 1 November in the Theme Park. Evening-only tickets cost RM75 for an adult and RM55 for a child for Malaysian residents, with the park open until 8pm on Thursdays and 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays on selected dates.

Pizza Hut: Rasa Malaysia outlived the Merdeka sale

Pizza Hut's Rasa Malaysia collection, built around the Laksa Kari and Durian pizzas, launched as part of the Merdeka campaign. On 22 October 2026 it is still linked from Pizza Hut Malaysia's homepage, and its prices are the same as in September:

  • MyBox Rasa Malaysia: RM19.99 (app special: RM16.99)
  • WeBox 2, 4 and 6 Rasa Malaysia: RM42.99, RM62.99 and RM82.99 (app special WeBox 4: RM56.99)
  • 2nd Pizza @ 6.90 bundle: RM42.89

Pizza Hut publishes no end date for it, as with its other campaigns, so the collection can be withdrawn without notice.

The Merdeka storewide 50% off Regular Pizza has gone, and the cheapest pizza routes now sit in Pizza Hut's everyday collections. The Half Price Deal collection sells 2 Regular Pizzas with 3 drinks for RM36.99, a Regular Pizza with a pasta and 3 drinks for RM31.99, and 3 Regular Pizzas with 2 soups and 2 drinks for RM59.99. The standing Hari Hari RM8 set is still RM8, for dine-in and takeaway only. Every one of these is a "from" price, so check the cart total after you pick a flavour.

Setel: the cashback ended, 3x points run to 31 October

Setel's Merdeka grocery cashback is gone, but its 3x Mesra Rewards points campaign is still live, valid until 31 October 2026 on Setel's own page:

  • At Kedai Mesra: 3x points for every RM1 spent.
  • On all other non-fuel payments: 3x points for every RM5 spent. This covers in-store Setel Pay, shopping, food and drink, EV charging, parking, bill payment, car servicing, motor insurance and road tax.
  • How to pay: open Setel, tap Pay, choose your payment method and let the cashier scan your Setel code.
  • What does not count: DuitNow is not supported, so paying with the DuitNow QR sticker at the counter earns nothing extra.

The points are small change next to the old RM6.90 cashback, but they cost nothing to collect if you already pay with Setel.

What comes next

The next date-driven sale season is Deepavali, on Sunday 8 November 2026, followed by 11.11 and the year-end school holidays. LEGOLAND's RM88 deadline, 30 November, falls inside that holiday run-up.

How to use what is left

  • A water day before December: book the RM88 Water Park ticket for a date that is not a Tuesday. For two or more people it is the biggest saving still running from the Merdeka window.
  • A Theme Park day: book at least five days ahead to get 20% off.
  • Pizza: use Rasa Malaysia only if you want the Laksa Kari or Durian flavours. For ordinary pizzas, the Half Price Deal bundles are cheaper per head.
  • Everyday spending: if you already pay with Setel, keep doing it until 31 October for the 3x points, and avoid the DuitNow QR.
