> Quick view: Parkson is 39 this year, and its anniversary sale runs at its department stores from 1 October to 8 November 2026. The headline is "discounts from RM39". On top of that, a big enough single receipt earns a free Deepavali paper bag now, and a set of Deepavali packets from 17 October. Parkson Card members qualify at a lower spend for both.

What Parkson has confirmed

The campaign mailer on Parkson's own website gives the dates and the two gift tiers. The prices come from a set of eight in-store photos Parkson posted on its Facebook page on 11 October, all taken at Parkson Paradigm Mall JB. The caption sums them up as Tracey handbag and shoe bundles at RM139, Tefal frypans at RM39, buy 3 free 1 on Hot Wheels, and apparel and home picks from RM39.

Here is what the photos actually show, sign by sign:

  • Conquest and Modz adults' round-neck tees: RM39. Assorted colours, sizes S to 2XL, 35% cotton and 65% polyester.
  • Nautica 3-packs: RM39. The sign covers the socks and the cotton briefs on the same stand.
  • Tiny Button kids' wear: RM39. Tees and sweatshirts on one rack.
  • Alain Delon men's synthetic moccasins: RM139 a pair, normal price RM189.90. That is about 27% off.
  • Tefal frypan: RM39. A second sign beside it reads RM139, but the photo doesn't show which item that one belongs to.
  • Zebra Estio 26cm stainless steel frying pan: RM139, normal price RM299. That's 54% off, the deepest cut on the post. The card says it works on induction and all other stoves.
  • Felli Momento 16-piece cutlery sets and an extendable dish rack stacked under an RM39 sign.
  • Hot Wheels and Matchbox die-cast cars: buy 3, free 1, while stocks last. The per-car price isn't on the sign.

How the free gifts work

Both gifts need one receipt, not several added together:

  1. Deepavali paper bag: spend RM280 storewide in a single receipt, or RM200 if you're a Parkson Card member. Available since 1 October, while stocks last.
  2. Set of Deepavali packets: spend RM380 in a single receipt, or RM300 as a member. These only start on 17 October, so a big shop on 15 October won't earn them.

The mailer ends with "please check in store for more details", and it doesn't say whether one receipt can claim both gifts. If you plan to spend RM380 or more, ask the counter before you pay instead of assuming you'll walk out with both.

Worked examples

A non-member buying shoes and a pan. The Alain Delon moccasins (RM139) and the Estio pan (RM139) come to RM278. That's RM2 short of the RM280 paper bag. Add one RM39 Conquest tee and the receipt is RM317, which clears it. A Parkson Card member gets the bag at RM278 already, because their line is RM200.

A member after the packets (from 17 October). Those same three items, at RM317, are over the RM300 member threshold for the packets. A non-member would need RM380. Add a Tefal frypan (RM39) and they're at RM356, still RM24 short, so two more RM39 items (RM434 in total) would do it.

The Hot Wheels deal. Buy three, get one free, so if all four cars are the same price you're paying for three and getting 25% off. If the prices are mixed, ask which car counts as the free one before you queue.

Who it's good for, and who should skip it

Worth a trip if you're already shopping for Deepavali, since the packets and paper bag are festive extras on spending you'd do anyway. It also suits anyone replacing a frying pan (two of the clearest prices on the post are pans) and parents picking up kids' clothes and toy cars.

Skip it if you're hunting one specific brand at a big markdown. "From RM39" is a starting price, not a percentage, and most RM39 signs carry no normal price to compare against. Also note that the photos are from one store. Parkson runs 38 department stores, from Pavilion KL and Sunway Pyramid to Imago in Kota Kinabalu and Vivacity in Kuching, and each store's range is its own.

Fine print that trips people up

  • Single receipt only for both gifts. Splitting a RM300 shop into two payments loses the gift.
  • The packets start 17 October. Before that date, only the paper bag is available.
  • Both gifts run while stocks last, so later in the campaign some stores may run out before 8 November.
  • Membership changes the maths. Parkson Card members save RM80 off both thresholds. You can sign up at any Parkson store, and Parkson says purchases earn points on both the Parkson Card and BonusLink.
  • Prices are store-specific. Treat the Paradigm Mall JB prices as a guide and confirm at your own branch. Parkson Paradigm Mall JB is on Jalan Skudai and opens 10am to 10pm (07-244 8382).
