The Anti-Bully Tribunal in 2026: Who Can File, the Committee You Must Go Through First, and the RM250,000 a Parent Can Be Ordered to Pay
Malaysia's Anti-Bully Act 2026 (Act 876) came fully into force on 16 June 2026, and with it a Tribunal for Anti-Bully that sits at the Asian International Arbitration Centre in Kuala Lumpur and works across six regional zones. It can order an apology, order bullying content taken down, order a child's parent into counselling, and order compensation of up to RM250,000. Most parents do not know the two things that matter most: you normally have to take the complaint to your school's anti-bully committee first, and if an award is ignored for 30 days the fine is twice the compensation ordered.
