Grab's Merdeka Contest: Code MERDEKA, 3x Entries at Six Brands, RM100,000 in Flight Cards (Till 17 September)
Grab Malaysia's Merdeka campaign, Cuba-cuba Lokal, Cuti-cuti Lokal, runs 17 August to 17 September 2026 and has two separate halves. One is a contest: apply the zero-value promo code MERDEKA before checkout on GrabCar, GrabFood or GrabMart and each completed order becomes one entry — three entries if the order is from Oriental Kopi, ZUS, Beautea, Tealive, Marrybrown or Jaya Grocer. Twenty winners take an RM5,000 Malaysia Airlines gift card each, RM100,000 in total, but the cards are good for domestic flights only. The other half is the ordinary discount stack running alongside it: 25% off a first Dine Out visit with no cap, RM12 off RM50 on GrabFood Hot Deals from Wednesday to Sunday, tiered Group Order discounts up to 15%, RM69 off RM300 on GrabMart — one date left, 14 September — RM35 off RM200 on PayLater, and GrabUnlimited at RM1.50 a month. The catches are specific and easy to trip over — pickup orders earn nothing, and an order without the code earns nothing at all.
Lotus's Troli Penuh Merdeka: Spend RM100, Win a 3-Minute RM3,000 Shopping Spree (Till 16 September)
Lotus's Merdeka campaign has two halves, and only one of them is a price cut. Troli Penuh Merdeka: Belanja & Menang is the other half — a spend-and-win contest running 30 July to 16 September 2026. Hit RM100 on a single receipt as a My Lotus's member, submit the receipt in the app within three days, and you get an instant in-app reward worth up to RM10 plus one entry into a draw for six RM3,000 shopping sprees, nine RM690 e-vouchers and sixty-nine RM100 e-vouchers. The numbers are a nod to Malaysia's 69th year. The rules are where it gets interesting: receipts cannot be combined, three a day and forty in total, and the grand prize is three minutes with one trolley at a store in the Klang Valley — which you travel to at your own expense.
