> Quick view: Al-Ikhsan Sports has refitted its Mahkota Parade store in Melaka and is reopening it on Saturday 24 October 2026 from 12 noon. From 24 October to 1 November, a single shop gets you 10% off from RM200 or 20% off from RM300. The first 50 customers on opening day get cash vouchers worth RM50 to RM200. It is worth the trip if you were already planning a jersey, boots or running shoes this year-end.

What the opening offer includes

Al-Ikhsan announced the opening on its own Instagram on 19 October and on its grand opening poster ("Step-in & experience our new look!"). The store is at Lot F26 & F27, First Floor, Mahkota Parade, Melaka's long-running mall on Jalan Merdeka in Bandar Hilir, next to Dataran Pahlawan.

  1. Spend discounts, 24 October to 1 November 2026: 10% off when you spend at least RM200, 20% off when you spend at least RM300.
  2. Cash vouchers on 24 October only, first 50 customers: the 1st customer gets RM200, the 2nd RM150, the 3rd RM100, and customers 4 to 50 get RM50 each.
  3. Opening-day activities: a mini penalty shoot-out, a juggling challenge, a colouring contest for kids, and appearances by former national players Khairul Fahmi Che Mat and Mahali Jasuli.
  4. Instalments: SPayLater or Atome, up to 12 months.

What the discount works out to

We priced a few items on al-ikhsan.com on 22 October. Shelf prices in the store can differ, so treat these as a guide.

  • Harimau Malaya 2026 home replica jersey (PUMA), RM319: clears the RM300 tier alone. 20% off is RM63.80, so you pay RM255.20.
  • Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 Club boots, RM259: 10% off brings them to RM233.10. Add anything worth RM41 or more and the basket hits RM300; at 20% off, RM300 of goods costs RM240. That extra item effectively costs you RM6.90.
  • Adidas Selangor 26/27 home replica, RM199: RM1 short of the first tier, so no discount on its own. Pair it with socks or a cap.
  • A junior football kit: adidas Predator Club junior boots (RM179) plus a PUMA Harimau Malaya junior replica (RM269) is RM448. 20% off saves RM89.60, so you pay RM358.40.

Who it suits, and who can skip it

Good for: Melaka families kitting out kids for next year's school sports, futsal and football players replacing boots, and anyone eyeing the new Harimau Malaya kit, which has carried no discount online since it launched in September.

Skip it if you only need one small item under RM200, or if what you want is already marked down elsewhere. The poster says the deal is "not applicable with other promotions", so a pair already on sale may not take another 20%.

Fine print that trips people up

  • One store only. No other Al-Ikhsan branch is part of this offer.
  • Exclusions apply. The poster does not list them. Ask at the counter before you queue, especially for already-discounted lines and new-season jerseys.
  • The vouchers are a race. Only 50 go out, all on 24 October, starting at 12 noon. Al-Ikhsan's post says "Datang awal, stok terhad" (come early, stock is limited). It does not say whether you must buy something to claim one, or whether the voucher has its own minimum spend. Check both before you plan around it.
  • The tier is per bill. Our reading of a "minimum spend" offer is one receipt, so shop together and pay once rather than splitting payments.
