What happened to Golden Glow and Knot of Harmony

This page has followed Aman Central's campaigns since August. Both have now ended, and the mall has not extended either one:

  • Knot of Harmony, the Merdeka and Malaysia Day campaign, ran from 13 August to 20 September 2026.
  • Golden Glow, the Mid-Autumn campaign, ran from 7 to 27 September 2026. Its bazaar, the RM1,500 teapot-set redemption, the 25 September lantern parade and the Instagram photo contest are all over.

As of 9 October the mall has not posted winners for either contest on its website. If you entered, watch @amancentral on Instagram and the mall's Facebook page.

Little Hero City: Saturday 24 October 2026

Little Hero City was posted on 7 October. Its tagline is "Where Little Dream Grows Big", and the poster also carries Aman Central's 10th Anniversary mark (the mall soft-opened in October 2015). The idea is simple: children dress up as what they want to be when they grow up. The artwork shows an astronaut, a doctor, a painter, a police officer, a chef and an office worker.

  • When: Saturday 24 October 2026, 3pm.
  • Where: 4th floor, in front of Kidzooona and Sushi King.
  • Event partners: Sushi King, McDonald's, Kidzooona and AEON Fantasy.
  • What's included: a best-dress contest, a photo booth, a goody bag, a balloon giveaway, food and drinks, cotton candy and sweet treats, a mascot meet and greet, and a Build-A-Bear workshop.
  • How to get a seat: spend RM350 in a maximum of two combined receipts, then book at the Information Counter. Slots are limited and first-come first-served, and T&Cs apply.

Is RM350 worth it?

It is a fair price if the shopping was already planned. RM350 is about one family trip for school shoes, a few clothes and a meal. The Build-A-Bear workshop and the goody bag alone are the kind of thing parents usually pay for separately. If you would not otherwise spend RM350 at the mall this month, the event is not a reason to.

Book early. The poster gives no seat count and no RSVP deadline, only "limited slots". The Golden Glow lantern workshop closed its RSVP three days before the event, so register as soon as you have the receipts.

One seat, one child, until the counter says otherwise. The poster says spend RM350 "to book a seat". It does not say whether a larger spend books two seats, or whether a parent needs a seat too. Ask before you split your shopping across visits.

Saturday is a weekend day in Kedah. Kedah keeps a Friday-Saturday weekend, so 24 October will be a busy mall day. Families coming from Penang or Perlis, which keep a Saturday-Sunday weekend, can make it too.

The two-receipt rule

Every paid tier at Aman Central this year uses the same wording: "in a maximum of TWO (2) combined receipts".

  • You cannot add up a week of small receipts.
  • Splitting one purchase into several transactions works against you.
  • If you are aiming for RM350, pay in one or two big transactions.

Redemption and booking are at the Information Counter, and the counter's written terms are final.

Tenant offers this month

  • Swarovski, October. Choose two or more pieces and get a gift with purchases of RM995 and above, while stocks last. This is the one purchase on the list that clears the RM350 Little Hero City bar on its own.
  • TOMEI Anniversary Sale. Trade in old gold and get RM20 off 916 gold, plus other in-store deals. The Aman Central post gives no dates, but the same chain-wide promotion runs 16 September to 18 October 2026. Buy before 18 October if you want both the discount and the receipt for 24 October.
  • Coach, newly listed. Coach was posted on the mall's website on 6 October with a store photo, at G-47 and G-63, ground floor, 10am to 10pm. It is the first Coach post on the site. The post lists no opening promotion.

Already expired: BONIA's Malaysia Day deal of an extra 16% off the second item ran 10 to 20 September only.

Getting there

Aman Central, Lebuhraya Darulaman, 05100 Alor Setar, Kedah. Open 10am to 10pm daily. Parkson is the anchor store, and the mall has basement parking. Kidzooona and Sushi King are on the 4th floor.

Who this is for, and who should skip it

Go to Little Hero City if you live in or near Alor Setar, have children of primary-school age or younger, and were going to spend RM350 at the mall anyway. Dressing up costs nothing extra if you use what is already at home, such as a chef's apron or a doctor's coat.

Skip it if you would need to make purchases just to qualify, or if you are driving in from another state for this alone. It is a single-mall event.

Use the tenant offers on their own if you are already shopping for jewellery or accessories. TOMEI ends on 18 October, so it comes first.
