> Quick view: Auntea Jenny's 4-day Buy 1 Free 1 at Aman Central, Alor Setar ran 23–26 July 2026 and is long over. The outlet is still trading at LG-K17 & LG-K18, it is the only Auntea Jenny in Kedah, and it is one of 20 Malaysian outlets on the brand's halal-certified list. This is what is worth knowing about it now — and what to drink in that mall instead this Merdeka.

First, the status

The promotion ended on 26 July 2026. There was no extension, no rolling version and no "opening month" tail. Auntea Jenny's opening promotions are short and they stop dead.

What did survive is the outlet. Checked on 26 August 2026:

  • Auntea Jenny's own store locator still lists "Auntea Jenny Aman Central — Lot LG K17 & 18, Aman Central, 1 Darul Aman Hwy, Kampung Lubok Peringgi, 05100 Alor Setar".
  • Aman Central's own tenant directory lists it at LG-K17 & LG-K18, on the Lower Ground floor.
  • Mall hours: Monday to Sunday and public holidays, 10.00am – 10.00pm.

Two independent official sources, the same unit numbers. The shop is open and trading at normal prices.

The question most people are actually searching: is it halal?

Yes — and specifically yes for *this* outlet, which is not automatically true of every Auntea Jenny in Malaysia.

Auntea Jenny Malaysia received JAKIM halal certification on 11 May 2026, initially covering 12 premises. Ng Ching Wai, the chain's Malaysia general manager, framed it at the launch as proof of its quality system and a mark of respect to the local market; JAKIM's executive director Muhyiddin Aziz @ Saari attended. On 1 July 2026 the brand published an updated Halal Certified Outlet poster carrying the Malaysia halal mark, MS 1500, certificate 2125-03/2025. That list has since grown to 20 outlets:

  • Klang Valley (8): Ativo Plaza, Bukit Tinggi Klang, IOI Puchong, Kepong, Mytown, Puchong, Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity
  • Johor (3): Kluang, Segamat, Toppen
  • Penang (3): Gurney Plaza, Raja Uda, Queensbay
  • Malacca (2): Ayer Keroh, Kota Syahbandar
  • Kedah (1): Aman Central
  • Perak (1): Aeon Station 18
  • Pahang (1): East Coast Mall
  • Negeri Sembilan (1): Seremban 2

Aman Central is the single Kedah entry on that poster. The brand's own footnote adds that other outlets are still applying for certification and that all its drinks are halal-compliant — but in Malaysia the certificate is granted per premise, so "the brand is certified" and "this shop is certified" are two different claims. For Alor Setar, both happen to be true.

Certification is renewable and can lapse. The certificate is displayed in-store, and the authoritative check is JAKIM's Halal Malaysia Portal — which was returning a server error when we tried it on 26 August 2026.

Kedah's only Auntea Jenny — and where the chain has got to

Aman Central is the only Kedah outlet on Auntea Jenny's locator. The nearest alternatives are in Penang: Gurney Plaza, Queensbay, Raja Uda and Sunway Carnival in Seberang Jaya.

The locator listed 50 trading outlets plus two marked "Coming Soon" (Ombak KLCC and Kota Damansara) when we checked. Treat that as a floor rather than a headcount — the Kota Damansara shop already ran its own opening promotion on 7–9 August 2026, so the locator lags reality by weeks. Auntea Jenny's Instagram bio says 51 outlets; the chain told Malaysian media in May it was at "nearly 50" and targeting more than 100 by the end of 2026. Globally it claims over 10,000 stores, having started in Shanghai in 2013 as 沪上阿姨.

Two locator entries are worth noting for anyone tracking the rollout: Kuching Airport and Sandakan Airport now both appear, alongside The Spring Kuching — the chain's first East Malaysia store, which opened 22–24 July 2026, one day before Alor Setar.

Correction: Alor Setar did not get the full package

Our original write-up said the Aman Central launch used the same mechanic as the Klang Valley openings, and called it the standard rollout. Having now lined up every 2026 Malaysian opening, that was too generous — the mechanic and the length both vary a great deal, and Alor Setar landed mid-table.

Alor Setar got four straight days of Buy 1 Free 1 with no half-price tail, where the two big Klang Valley launches ran a full week in two phases. Kuching, opening the day before, got the most generous mechanic of the lot at Buy 2 Free 2. If you missed the Alor Setar window, the thing to take from this is not "openings are all the same" but "watch which mechanic a given opening gets" — the difference between four days of 1-for-1 and a week of 1-for-1 plus half-price is substantial.

What you can't get at Aman Central

On 12 August 2026 Auntea Jenny promoted a croissant-and-milk-tea pairing and named the outlets carrying it: Bukit Tinggi, Kepong, SS15, Taipan, TARUMT, Tamarind Square, Sunway Carnival, Gurney Plaza, Ayer Keroh and Kota Syahbandar. Aman Central is not on that list — Kedah gets drinks only. Worth knowing before you drive in for one.

Similarly, the Tai Zi Sponge merchandise combo — any two Large Iced Milk Series drinks plus one sponge for RM22.80 — ran 5–16 August 2026 and has ended. The sponge itself moved to the Auntea Jenny app afterwards, while stocks last.

What is actually live in Aman Central right now

Auntea Jenny itself has nothing running nationwide as we publish. It has been teasing a Merdeka campaign — "get ready to play, win and have some fun" on 23 August, followed by Merdeka posts on 24 and 25 August — but has published no mechanic, no dates and no prize list. Treat any specific figure you see quoted for it elsewhere as unverified until the brand posts terms on its own channels.

Two things in the same building do have published terms:

  • Beutea, Level 4 (4-K02A) is running a Merdeka Special: a Regular White Peach Oolong Milk Tea (usually RM10.90) or Regular Jasmine Green Milk Tea (usually RM9.90) at RM6.90 until 31 August 2026, app orders only, not valid at the counter. Right now that is the bubble-tea deal in Aman Central.
  • Aman Central's own "Knot of Harmony" Merdeka campaign runs into September and pays out on mall-wide spend, which means an Auntea Jenny receipt counts toward it even though the drinks carry no discount. The Merdeka Bazaar itself sits at the North Atrium, 13–31 August 2026, free entry, 10am–10pm.

For context on how crowded that floor is, Aman Central's directory also carries Gong Cha (LG-05), ChaTraMue (LG-20), Coolblog (LG-K16), Chagee (G-61 & 73), Bask Bear Coffee (LG-K02) and Boost Juice Bars (LG-02). Auntea Jenny is one of at least seven drinks chains in that mall, and most of the rivals sit on the same Lower Ground floor — walk it before committing.

How to catch the next Auntea Jenny promotion

The chain does not run a promotions page on its Malaysian website, so there is no single URL to bookmark. In practice the campaign always appears first on the brand's own social channels, and the terms live inside the poster image rather than in the caption. The channels that actually carry offers:

  • Instagram [@aunteajenny.my](https://www.instagram.com/aunteajenny.my/) — the fastest, and where the halal-outlet list is pinned.
  • Facebook [Auntea Jenny MY](https://www.facebook.com/AunteaJennyMY/) — the same posters, though the page bio is stale (it still says 43 outlets).
  • The Auntea Jenny app, linked from the brand's official Linktree, which also carries app-only mechanics and merchandise drops.
  • Delivery and voucher channels: foodpanda, GrabFood and ShopeeFood for delivery, plus a ShopeeFood e-voucher store and an official Lazada store — though the Lazada store only sells RM20 and RM50 cash vouchers at face value, so there is no discount in buying one.

One pattern is reliable enough to plan around: every new Malaysian outlet opens with a promotion, usually 3–7 days long, announced only days in advance. With Ombak KLCC still marked "Coming Soon" and a target of 100+ outlets by year end, there will be more.
