What Avillion is offering

Avillion Cameron Highlands is a 100-suite serviced hotel in the Cameron Fair development on Jalan Camelia, Tanah Rata, the town where the express buses stop. Every suite has a kitchenette and a balcony, and the hotel's own page puts the Boh tea plantation about 5km away. The Deluxe Studio is the second room tier: 45.6 square metres, a king or two single beds, a work desk and a small sofa corner, sleeping two.

The offer appears as its own rate plan on Avillion's booking engine, labelled "Deepavali 3D2N Promo 25% OFF". Its terms, read on 25 October 2026, say:

  • Booking period: now to 31 October 2026
  • Stay period: now to 8 November 2026
  • Minimum stay: two consecutive nights
  • Includes: daily breakfast for two, Wi-Fi, and free parking subject to availability
  • Payment: full prepayment at booking; non-refundable, non-cancellable and non-amendable once confirmed
  • Not combinable with any other promotion, and subject to availability

The hotel's offers page did not list the Deepavali deal on 25 October; it only showed breakfast and monthly menu specials. The booking engine is where the plan lives, so book there.

What it actually costs (priced 25 October 2026)

We searched the engine for two adults and one room. The prices below are totals for the stay and the engine says they include taxes and fees. "Normal" is the same room's flexible "book now, pay later" rate with breakfast on the same dates.

  • Mon 2 to Wed 4 November: promo RM405, normally RM540. You save RM135. That is RM202.50 a night.
  • Fri 6 to Sun 8 November: promo RM450, normally RM600. You save RM150.
  • Sat 7 to Mon 9 November: promo RM465, normally RM620. You save RM155. The engine sold this checkout even though the stated stay period ends on the 8th.
  • Thu 5 to Sun 8 November (three nights): promo RM652.50, normally RM870. You save RM217.50.

Each of these is exactly 25% off. Prices move by date and as rooms sell, so check your own nights before you pay.

How it compares with the hotel's other rates

The engine also sells a prepaid "Hot Deals" rate with breakfast. Against that, the Deepavali plan saves less: RM75 on 2-4 November (RM405 against RM480) and RM90 on 6-8 November (RM450 against RM540). So the honest saving, if you were going to prepay anyway, is 16% to 17%, not 25%.

The more useful comparison is with the smaller room. On 2-4 November the Superior Studio (35.4 square metres) cost RM440 with breakfast on its Hot Deals rate, and RM360 room only. The bigger Deluxe Studio with breakfast on the Deepavali plan costs RM405, which is RM35 less than the Superior with breakfast. If you would have eaten breakfast at the hotel, the upgrade is effectively free.

Worked examples

A couple, midweek. Two nights from Monday 2 November cost RM405 on the promo. Add Cukai Kelestarian of RM3 per room per night, so RM6, paid at check-in. Your total is RM411 for two nights with breakfast, about RM205 a night. Also bring RM100 (cash or card) for the refundable security deposit.

Over the Deepavali long weekend. Deepavali falls on Sunday 8 November, and Monday 9 November is the replacement holiday in states that observe it. Saturday 7 to Monday 9 November costs RM465 plus RM6 Cukai Kelestarian, so RM471, against RM626 on the flexible rate. Expect the Simpang Pulai and Tapah roads up to Tanah Rata to be slow on Saturday morning and Monday afternoon.

A long weekend of three nights. Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 November is RM652.50 plus RM9, so RM661.50. When we checked, the Superior Studios were already unavailable for those three nights, so the Deluxe is the cheapest studio left.

Foreign guests also pay the RM10 per room per night tourism tax, so RM20 more for two nights.

Who should book, and who should skip

Good for: couples or two friends who want two cool nights in the highlands and would eat breakfast at the hotel anyway. It also suits anyone driving up from the Klang Valley or Ipoh for the Deepavali break, since a kitchenette room in town means you can walk to Tanah Rata's restaurants and skip the evening drive.

Skip it if: your dates might change, because the booking cannot be refunded or amended. Skip it if you are four people: the Deluxe Studio sleeps two, and the 2-Bedroom Suites are not in this promo (on 2-4 November the 2BR Suite Hot Deal was RM780 for two nights). And skip it if you only want one night, because the minimum is two.

Fine print that trips people up

  • Twin or king? The written terms say the deal is for the Deluxe Studio (Twin) only. On 25 October the engine also sold the same 25% rate on the Deluxe Studio (King) at identical prices. If you book the King, screenshot the rate page before paying.
  • Book by 31 October, not stay by 31 October. You can stay into November, but the rate disappears after the booking deadline.
  • Two people only. Our prices are for two adults. A third guest will not fit the room's occupancy.
  • Check-in is 3pm, check-out noon.
  • Extra charges at check-in: Cukai Kelestarian RM3 per room per night for everyone, RM10 tourism tax for non-Malaysians, and a RM100 refundable deposit.
