On 14 September there is no new BEST DENKI sale at MyTOWN, and the chain's 1 Utama Anniversary Sale closed on 13 September. At MyTOWN you can still enter the RM69 Jalan-Jalan Malaysia Staycation Contest until 30 September and use MyTOWNKL App e-cash vouchers at BEST Denki until 31 December.

What the Merdeka 69th Promotion was

BEST DENKI's poster for the MyTOWN store, Lot B1-017, read "Now Till 31 Aug 2026" and offered five things:

  • A BEST DENKI member discount (the poster did not print a percentage)
  • Touch 'n Go eWallet rebates of up to RM2,500
  • A rebate voucher of up to RM300 off
  • MyTOWN Points with any purchase of selected featured brands
  • 0% interest easy payment for up to 60 months

The brands printed along the bottom ran from Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic and Sharp to Dyson, Philips, Tefal, Zojirushi, Nintendo and MSI. The poster never showed the spend tiers behind "up to RM2,500", so that figure was always a ceiling for large purchases, not a rebate on every receipt. The promotion ended on 31 August as printed.

Is there a BEST DENKI sale at MyTOWN now?

No, not as of 14 September 2026. BEST DENKI's website, bestdenki.com.my, has been a maintenance page since August. It lists only outlet phone numbers, and the Merdeka campaign page it used to host now shows that same page. Since the MyTOWN promotion ended, the only new BEST DENKI outlet sale posted has been at 1 Utama. MyTOWN's own event list for September shows roadshows (Travel House, XIXILI, massage chairs and others) but nothing from BEST DENKI.

BEST DENKI has stopped running nationwide calendar sales. There was no 9.9 sale. Each mall store now runs its own short promotion, and the dates can overlap:

  • IOI City Mall Putrajaya, 21 to 25 August: member discount up to 8%, rebate voucher up to RM300, CLUB IOI Points, 0% to 60 months
  • MyTOWN, to 31 August: the Merdeka 69th Promotion above
  • 1 Utama, 4 to 13 September: up to 60% off, TNG eWallet rebate up to RM2,500, 3x ONECARD UPoints on 5 and 6 September only with a RM2,000 minimum spend, member discount, 0% to 60 months

What a BEST DENKI outlet sale is worth: real prices from 1 Utama

The MyTOWN poster listed no model prices. The 1 Utama Anniversary Sale, a week ago, did. Here are four of its "Must Have Deals". They show how deep these outlet sales cut, but they were 1 Utama prices, have now ended, and were not MyTOWN prices:

  • Toshiba 65" OLED 4K 144Hz TV (65X9900NP): RM7,999, down from RM12,999. That is RM5,000 off, or 38%
  • Hisense 780L 4-door inverter fridge (RQ-640P5GW): RM3,999, down from RM5,999. That is RM2,000 off, or 33%
  • Shark EvoPower System FIT cordless vacuum (LC100SM): RM899, down from RM1,399. That is 36% off
  • Tefal mini fuzzy logic rice cooker (RK5151): RM259, down from RM349. That is 26% off

What 0% over 60 months means per month. This is simple division, not a bank quote. At RM7,999, the TV works out to about RM133.32 a month over 60 months, or about RM222.19 over 36. The fridge at RM3,999 comes to about RM66.65 a month over 60 months. Whether you get 60 months depends on your card issuer's own easy-payment programme, so ask at the till which banks take part.

What is still live at MyTOWN (checked 14 September 2026)

1. Jalan-Jalan Malaysia Staycation Contest, to 30 September 2026

  • Spend at least RM69 in a single receipt at a participating store in MyTOWN
  • Submit the receipt through Scan Receipt in the MyTOWNKL App, or at the Concierge
  • There are seven weekly getaway prizes, running from Belum Rainforest Resort (Perak) and Mutiara Taman Negara (Pahang) to Kota Kinabalu and Kundasang (Sabah) and Mulu National Park (Sarawak)
  • MyTOWN's directory marks BEST Denki as a participating tenant, so a BEST DENKI receipt should qualify. Confirm this at the Concierge when you submit it

2. MyTOWNKL App e-cash vouchers, to 31 December 2026

  • Collect app points when you spend, then redeem them for a cash voucher in the app
  • BEST Denki B1-017 is on MyTOWN's list of stores that accept the voucher, under "Digital Lifestyle", next to ALL IT Hypermarket L3-016
  • Rules: one voucher per transaction, vouchers cannot be combined, and they cannot be used with other promotions. Points are deducted as soon as you download a voucher and are not refunded

3. Kita Kontinjen Malaysia activities, to 20 September 2026

  • Malaysia Day, 16 September, 1pm: marching band and parade in front of ZARA, Ground Floor, with Malaysian flags and gifts handed out
  • App-redeemed workshops in front of H&M, Level 1, 12pm to 6pm: live caricature portraits on 16 September, and bag charm making on 19 and 20 September

Already gone: MyTOWN's Merdeka merchandise redemption says it runs to 20 September. All six items (three at the RM250 tier and three at the RM500 tier) were marked FULLY REDEEMED on 14 September.

Should you buy now or wait?

  • Buy now if the item is under a few hundred ringgit, or you need it this week. At that size, the rebate tiers on a BEST DENKI outlet poster usually will not reach you anyway. Any receipt over RM69 still gets you a staycation contest entry.
  • Wait if you are buying a big-ticket TV, fridge or air-conditioner. The outlet sales above ran back to back from late August to mid-September, and a large purchase is where a TNG rebate tier or RM300 voucher is actually worth something.
  • Shop around in the same mall. ALL IT Hypermarket on Level 3 of MyTOWN is running Malaysia Day Specials until 30 September, mostly on gaming gear, monitors and consoles.
