> Quick view: Mega Gegar 20 Juta is two things sharing one name. The Nationwide Sale is nine plain offers with real ringgit attached, and you get those whether or not you ever open the app. The Contest is a reflex race dressed up as a mystery box. Both run to 11.59pm on 30 September 2026.
What the campaign actually is
CelcomDigi is running Mega Gegar 20 Juta from 23 July to 30 September 2026, nationwide, and it files the campaign under three separate terms and conditions documents on its own site: the Nationwide Sale (reference CD06020, dated 28 August 2026), the Contest (CD06021, dated 23 July 2026), and a Live Campaign (CD06023) that has already closed. That split matters more than the marketing suggests. The Sale is a list of discounts and rebates you simply buy. The Contest is what the RM20 million headline refers to, and a purchase from the Sale is only the ticket that lets you enter it.
The third document is dead and worth thirty seconds anyway. CD06023 governed a TikTok livestream flash sale that ran from midnight on 31 July to 6pm on 1 August 2026, in five sessions: three online, where the host read out a promo code you applied at checkout, and two walk-in, where you had to reach a participating CelcomDigi store first-come while stocks lasted. One unit per offer per customer, no reservations, no holding stock. It is over, and nothing in it can be redeemed now. Knowing it existed is what lets you tell a genuine Mega Gegar price from an early-August livestream price that someone is still quoting at you.
The campaign key visual says "Spend RM20 and above to be in the running to win big!" That figure is not the floor. RM20 is the general minimum for add-on and value-added purchases. Buying any offer listed in the Nationwide Sale also qualifies you, and CelcomDigi's own campaign page says so in plain words beside the cheapest thing on the list: "Get 1,631GB for RM6.90 and qualify for Mega Gegar 20 Juta." The real cheapest entry is RM6.90.
Re-read on 8 September 2026, that is not an inference. Contest clause 3.2.1 makes "purchase of any offers from the CelcomDigi Mega Gegar 20 Juta Nationwide Sale" a Qualifying Transaction on its own, with no ringgit figure attached to it at all. The minimum spends sit in the clauses beside it and govern everything bought *outside* the Sale: RM30 for a prepaid internet offer under clause 3.2.2, a RM50 monthly commitment for postpaid or CelcomDigi One under 3.2.3, and RM20 for quota top-ups, roaming passes, entertainment, security, PhoneCARE and PhoneFIX under 3.2.5. CelcomDigi's own campaign FAQ now prints all three of those floors, one screen below artwork that says RM20 and a pass card that says RM6.90. Four different numbers, on one page, for the same question.
Taken literally, clause 3.2.1 goes lower still. Offer 5 gives a first month of the StreamMORE Asian Bundle at RM0, Offer 6 gives thirty days of MobileSHIELD at RM0, and Offer 7 gives PhoneFIX for RM1, and all three are offers from the Nationwide Sale. We are not going to tell you to bank on that. CelcomDigi has never advertised any of them as a contest entry, clause 3.2.5 puts an RM20 floor on those same products bought any other way, and all three auto-renew at full price if you forget to cancel. The RM6.90 pass is the cheapest entry CelcomDigi has actually put in writing beside its own contest logo, and unlike the trials it leaves you holding something.
The nine offers, and what each is worth
Read off the Nationwide Sale terms as published:
- Easy360 device rebate, RM20 or RM10 a month for up to 24 months. You need Postpaid 5G 140, 160 or 190 (2026), or One Pro or One Ultra (2026), plus a 24 or 36 month Easy360 contract. The RM20 tier covers the Samsung S26 line, Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra, the A37 and A57, and four Samsung TVs. The RM10 tier covers the Pixel 11 family, OPPO Reno 16, Reno 16F and Find X9s, Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro, HONOR 600 and 600 Pro, vivo V70 and X300 FE, and a PlayStation 5 Disc Console (Slim). Fifteen models qualify for RM20 and thirteen for RM10; the lists are in clause 3.1.4 and they are exhaustive.
- Pakej MegaJimat device rebate, RM20 a month for 24 months, on Postpaid 5G 120 or 140 (2026), limited to the Samsung A57, A37, A27 and A07 5G.
- Fibre and 5G Home WiFi, RM20 a month for three months. New subscribers to Fibre 300Mbps or 5G Home WiFi 99 only, and the installation has to be completed by 31 October 2026 or the rebate is forfeited "regardless of reasons for such delay or failure". Total value RM60.
- Prepaid RM5 introductory credit on a new registration or port-in to Prepaid 5G Edisi Biru or Edisi Kuning, plus activating an eligible pass (5G Hyper 30 or 35, Power 35 or 45, Power+ 55 with Viu Premium, Power+ 65 with Prime Video). It lands within four days, expires in 30 days, and can only be spent on internet passes in the app or via *118#.
- StreamMORE Asian Bundle plus 5GB, first month free, first-time subscribers only.
- MobileSHIELD, 30-day free trial, first-time subscribers only, on the 1, 3 or 5-Device plans (the Mega Add-Ons version is excluded).
- PhoneFIX at RM1 for the first month, subscribed through the CelcomDigi app.
- RM100 credit-to-bill trade-in bonus for postpaid customers who choose the credit-to-bill option and surrender the device in store. It reaches you as a credit on the next bill, not as cash.
- National Day Pass: 1,631GB of 5G and 4G for RM6.90, valid three days, on sale 20 August to 30 September 2026.
The one offer worth buying on its own
CelcomDigi's standard prepaid One-Time Pass ladder, read on its own page on 5 September 2026: RM1.50 buys unlimited data at 100Mbps for one hour, RM3 buys 3GB for a day, RM6 buys 9GB for three days, and RM12 buys 20GB for a week.
Line the National Day Pass up against the RM6 pass, which is its exact duration twin. Ninety sen more buys 1,631GB instead of 9GB over the same three days. Against the RM12 seven-day pass you pay RM5.10 less and get roughly 81 times the quota, in exchange for giving up four days. For anyone who tethers a laptop, pulls down a console update, or moves a phone backup, this is the cheapest three days of data CelcomDigi has published under this campaign.
The catch is short and honest. It does not auto-renew, and anything unused is forfeited when the three days end. Prepaid buys it in the app under Internet Add-Ons, then One-Time Pass, or by dialling *118#. Postpaid buys it under Internet Add-Ons, then Quota Top-Up.
The device rebate is capped by your own instalment
CelcomDigi's campaign page prints before and after monthly prices on its device cards, and they show exactly how the RM20 lands. There are fifteen cards. Twelve carry an Easy360 monthly figure, re-read on 8 September 2026:
- Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, RRP RM8,099: Easy360 from RM146 a month against RM166.
- Galaxy Z Fold8, RRP RM7,299: RM129 against RM149.
- Galaxy Z Flip8, RRP RM6,199: RM92 against RM112.
- Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G, RRP RM6,799: RM101 against RM121.
- Galaxy S26+ 5G, RRP RM6,199: RM89 against RM109.
- Galaxy S26 5G, RRP RM4,399: RM53 against RM73.
- Galaxy A57 5G, RRP RM2,699: RM10 against RM30.
- Galaxy A37 5G, RRP RM1,999: RM0 against RM16.
- Samsung 85 inch Neo QLED 4K Smart TV, RRP RM14,999: RM226 against RM246.
- Samsung 65 inch Mini LED 4K Smart TV, RRP RM4,299: RM39 against RM59.
- Samsung 65 inch UHD 4K Smart TV, RRP RM3,799: RM24 against RM44.
- Samsung 55 inch UHD 4K Smart TV, RRP RM2,899: RM8 against RM28.
Straight RM20 drops all the way down, and then the A37 breaks the pattern. Its instalment is RM16, so the card falls to RM0 and stops there. A rebate cannot pay you money. On the cheapest eligible handsets the implied RM480 over 24 months is not what you actually receive, so work out your own instalment before assuming it. On the A37 as shown, 24 months at RM16 is RM384, not RM480.
Turn that around and the cap is also what makes the cheap end of the list the best value on it in percentage terms. RM20 off the 55 inch UHD TV's RM28 instalment is a 71 percent cut. RM20 off the A57's RM30 is two thirds. RM20 off the 85 inch Neo QLED's RM246 is eight percent. The rebate is a flat number, so the smaller the instalment the more of it disappears, right up to the point where it hits zero and stops.
Three cards carry no monthly figure at all, because they are Pakej MegaJimat, where the number quoted is the upfront device price rather than an instalment. Galaxy A27 5G (RRP RM1,499) and Galaxy A07 5G (RRP RM1,029) both show from RM0. The A37 and A57 appear in this column too, at RM319 against RM799 and RM819 against RM1,299.
One card the terms do not cover
The Galaxy A17 5G, RRP RM1,149, sits on the campaign page under the same "RM20 off for 24 months" badge as every other device and shows Pakej MegaJimat from RM0. It is in neither device list in the Nationwide Sale terms. Clause 3.1.4 names fifteen models for the RM20 Easy360 tier and thirteen for RM10, and clause 3.2.4 limits the Pakej MegaJimat rebate to the A57, A37, A27 and A07. The A17 appears in none of the three. Its upfront price of RM0 may well be real, but if the RM20 monthly rebate is part of why you are signing, get it confirmed on the order form, because the document that governs the campaign does not list the phone.
On the three foldables the rebate is the smallest number on the card
The biggest number on the device page is not the RM20. Each of the three foldables carries a "See freebies" panel, and what is inside is worth several times the rebate. Read on 8 September 2026:
- Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra comes with a 55 inch Crystal UHD Samsung TV worth RM2,899, plus 50 percent off a Galaxy Z Flip8 (RRP RM6,199). CelcomDigi states "savings up to RM2,827 only with Easy360 under Mega Gegar 20 Juta".
- Galaxy Z Fold8 comes with a Galaxy Watch9 44mm worth RM1,599, plus the same 50 percent off a Z Flip8. Stated savings up to RM2,639.
- Galaxy Z Flip8 comes with Galaxy Buds 4 Pro worth RM999. Stated savings up to RM2,647.
Two things follow. RM480 of rebate is a rounding error beside a RM2,899 television, so anyone weighing these three phones on the rebate is weighing the wrong number. And all three are pre-order cards, while every other device on the page says "Buy now" — a pre-order is a commitment made before the handset is in your hand. The Nationwide Sale terms say nothing about any of these gifts; they exist on the campaign page only. Get the freebie written onto the order, not just seen on a web page.
The mystery box is theatre
This is the part the campaign page does not spell out. Clause 4.1.3 of the Contest terms says prizes are allocated by ranking, "with the earliest ranked Potential Winners receiving the highest-value Prizes", and that "such Prize allocation shall be final and completed prior to the issuance of the Mystery Box". Clause 4.1.5 then defines the Mystery Box as a digital reveal mechanism and states that it "does not determine, allocate, modify or otherwise affect the Prize allocated".
So the box is an animation played over a decision already made. What decides your outcome is how fast you answer a question in the CelcomDigi app during a time slot the company assigns you by SMS from sender ID 22228MYCD, one day before the cycle date. You get one slot per cycle and you cannot swap into another. Buying more things inside the same window does not help either: the terms say multiple qualifying transactions "shall not provide any additional advantage".
If you have already qualified, the useful action is boring and effective. Read the SMS, set an alarm for your slot, be signed into the app before it opens, and answer immediately.
Where the RM20 million actually sits
Add up every bonus prize in cycles 1 to 4 and you get RM20,041,076 across 74,224 winners, which is where the "20 juta" comes from. Note what dominates it. Five ringgit in every six is a single prize type: 70,000 people receiving 15GB of high-speed data a month for a year, valued at RM240 each.
That prize also carries the campaign's least advertised condition. The free 15GB only works alongside an active eligible prepaid monthly pass or postpaid plan, and clause 5.3.3.3 says that when the eligible pass expires or is deactivated, "any remaining quota under the Free Internet will also become unavailable". It is a top-up sitting on a bill you keep paying, not a year of free service. Fibre and 5G Home WiFi subscribers need a matching CelcomDigi mobile number to receive it at all.
The roaming prize is more generous than it looks and narrower than it sounds: twelve consecutive months of the 30-Day Unlimited High Speed Worldwide Roam Pass, which retails at RM118, across more than 90 countries. Brunei, Oman, Turkey and the UAE are not included.
The sooka prize has its own trap. If you already hold sooka through one of the listed StreamMORE bundles or a Mega Add-On at the moment CelcomDigi provisions the prize, it cannot be granted, and if you do not satisfy the fulfilment requirements in time it is forfeited with no cash, bill rebate or replacement.
What is still open today
There are five cycles, and only two are still live:
- Cycle 1: qualified 23 July to 9 August, drew 13 August. Closed.
- Cycle 2: qualified 10 to 28 August, drew 3 September. Closed.
- Cycle 3: qualifying window 29 August to 18 September 2026, cycle date 23 September. Open now, with ten days left as of 8 September.
- Cycle 4: qualifying window 19 to 30 September 2026, cycle date 7 October.
- Cycle 5, the Grand Finale: 9 October 2026, with the whole campaign period as its qualifying window.
You can win only one bonus prize across cycles 1 to 4. Winning one does not remove you from the finale: the terms keep every eligible participant, including bonus prize winners, in the running for cycle 5.
The Grand Finale count does not match
CelcomDigi's public campaign page describes the finale as "20 winners. One MEGA finale." Its own contest terms put the figure at 40. Table 2 lists cycle 5 as "Total Eligible Winners: 40 Winners", split into 20 grand prizes and 20 consolation prizes.
The grand prizes are one MEGA Smart AI Home Makeover with The Makeover Guys and Samsung appliances at RM265,611 (RM200,000 of makeover plus RM65,611 of appliances), one Proton e.MAS 7 at RM96,800, three global travel packages worth up to RM100,000 each, twelve Malaysian travel packages worth up to RM50,000 each, and three Live Nation Malaysia concert allocations at RM8,578 each. The 20 consolation prizes total RM134,580 and include a Samsung 65 inch The Frame Pro, eight Z8 Folds, eight S26 Ultras, two air purifiers and a vacuum.
The gap is worth knowing, because the consolation half is real. Half the finale winners walk away with an appliance or a phone rather than a car or a holiday.
The fine print that trips people up
- Renewals do not count. The contest terms exclude any subscription renewal, auto-renewal or recurring subscription. It has to be a new purchase, activation, registration, port-in or upgrade.
- Three offers auto-renew at full price. StreamMORE Asian Bundle, MobileSHIELD and PhoneFIX all roll into the prevailing fee unless you cancel before the free window ends. PhoneFIX renews on a tier set by your device value: RM3 up to RM500, RM5 to RM1,000, RM6 to RM1,500, RM10 to RM3,000, RM17 to RM6,000, and RM20 above that. The RM1 covers one month only.
- Travel packages are ceilings, not cheques. If the confirmed package costs less than RM100,000 or RM50,000, the difference is not paid out in cash.
- The car is not free to receive. JPJ registration, road tax, takaful or insurance and every incidental cost sit with the winner.
- The home makeover comes with obligations. The property must be in Malaysia and inside The Makeover Guys' service coverage, the two-year validity runs from the date received, and the winner has to give access for design consultation, site assessment, work in progress and a winner interview or testimonial.
- Overdue bills disqualify you from the sale and the contest alike, and a winner with unpaid amounts cannot even use the roaming prize until the account is settled.
- Prizes are not held open. A potential winner has seven working days to acknowledge the notification and supply documents, after which CelcomDigi may forfeit the prize outright.
Who this is for, and who should skip it
Buy the RM6.90 National Day Pass if you are on CelcomDigi at all. It costs 90 sen more than the standard three-day pass, it is the only offer here with no strings beyond a three-day clock, and it doubles as the cheapest contest entry on the list.
Take the device rebate only if you were already buying that phone on that plan. RM20 a month is a discount on a 24 month commitment, not a reason to start one, and terminating, downgrading, transferring the line or suspending the account forfeits whatever is left of it. If you are looking at one of the three foldables, judge it on the bundled TV, watch or earbuds instead, which run RM999 to RM2,899 against RM480 of rebate, and remember all three are pre-orders. If you are looking at the cheap end, the flat RM20 erases two thirds of the A57's instalment and 71 percent of the 55 inch TV's, which is the best proportional value on the page.
Take the fibre rebate if you were signing up anyway, but treat it as RM60 in total rather than a lasting monthly saving, and get the installation booked well before 31 October.
Skip the free trials unless you set a cancellation reminder on the same day you subscribe.
Skip the contest as a reason to spend. A qualifying transaction buys you one timed shot at a question, ranked on speed against everyone else in your slot, for a pool where five ringgit in six is a data top-up tied to a bill you keep paying. If you were spending anyway, enter and set the alarm. If you were not, the RM6.90 pass is the whole story.
