> Status, 7 October 2026: Mega Gegar 20 Juta closed at 11.59pm on 30 September. You can no longer enter, and the RM6.90 National Day Pass is gone. What remains is the prize phase: cycle 4 winners on 7 October, the Grand Finale game on 9 October, and prize fulfilment by 31 October.

What happened, in one paragraph

CelcomDigi's Mega Gegar 20 Juta ran from 23 July to 30 September 2026. It was two campaigns under one name. The first was a Nationwide Sale of nine offers you simply bought. The second was a contest with a prize pool CelcomDigi values at RM20 million. Any qualifying purchase earned a place in that cycle's quiz drop in the CelcomDigi App. Prizes went to whoever answered the qualifying question correctly fastest. The mystery box only revealed a result that had already been allocated. Four bonus cycles have now closed, and the final cycle is the Grand Finale.

The October dates that matter

All of these come from CelcomDigi's campaign page and its contest terms (reference CD06021), both read on 7 October 2026.

  • 7 October: cycle 4 reveal. This covers purchases from 19 to 30 September. Cycles 1, 2 and 3 were announced on 13 August, 3 September and 23 September.
  • 9 October: Grand Finale game. Cycle 5 covers the whole campaign, so anyone who qualified between 23 July and 30 September is in. That includes people who already won a bonus prize. The terms allow one bonus prize and one grand prize per person.
  • The day before each cycle date, look for an SMS from 22228MYCD. Under clause 3.7, that SMS gives your assigned time slot, or "Drop", and you may only play in that one slot. Answers after the slot closes are ignored.
  • Within 7 working days of being told you won, send your name, ID, contact number and delivery address. Miss this and CelcomDigi may forfeit the prize or give it to someone else (clause 4.2.3).
  • By 31 October: prize fulfilment. Clause 6.1 sets this as the fulfilment date for cycles 1 to 4, "or such other date" CelcomDigi decides. The campaign page says grand prizes are also fulfilled in October.

How the Grand Finale actually works

The Grand Finale is a two-step process, and the campaign page gives only half of it. Its headline says "20 winners. One MEGA finale." Clause 6.4 says the top 40 potential winners from cycle 5 are shortlisted as Grand Prize Finalists. They are then invited to an event where "activities" decide the final ranking. Twenty finalists receive the grand prizes:

  • one Samsung and The Makeover Guys smart home makeover (RRP RM265,611)
  • one Proton e.MAS 7 (RM96,800)
  • three global travel packages worth up to RM100,000 each
  • twelve local travel packages worth up to RM50,000 each
  • three Live Nation concert allocations

The other twenty receive Samsung consolation prizes worth RM134,580 in total. These are one 65-inch The Frame Pro, eight Galaxy Z8 Folds, eight S26 Ultras, two air purifiers and a vacuum.

If you are a finalist and cannot attend, clause 6.7 lets you send someone with a letter of authorisation and their own IC. CelcomDigi can reject a letter it is not satisfied with. Winners also pay any taxes, duties or incidental costs that come with a prize (clause 5.7). That matters for the car and the travel packages.

If you won a bonus prize

  • 1 Year Free Internet (70,000 winners). This is 15GB of high-speed data a month, credited automatically to your number. It only works while you hold an active eligible prepaid monthly pass or postpaid plan. Let the pass lapse and the free quota becomes unusable too (clauses 5.3.3.2 and 5.3.3.3).
  • 1 Year Free Roaming (1,500 winners). This is a monthly unlimited roam pass for twelve months, activated automatically. It covers more than 90 countries but not Brunei, Oman, Turkey or the UAE. Overdue bills block it until they are paid.
  • sooka and MobileSHIELD (1,000 winners each). CelcomDigi provisions these on its side in October, and you get an SMS once they are active.
  • Samsung devices (724 winners). CelcomDigi says it will "inform" you of the fulfilment method. Warranty is Samsung's, not CelcomDigi's.

A practical point: the terms name only two official channels, the CelcomDigi App and SMS from 22228MYCD. If a message about your prize arrives any other way, open the app yourself and check before you send any documents.

What CelcomDigi still offers in October

Everything below was read on CelcomDigi's own pages on 7 October 2026. None of these offers prints an end date.

One-Time Pass, the standing prepaid ladder. RM1.50 buys unlimited data for one hour, RM3 buys 3GB for a day, RM6 buys 9GB for three days, and RM12 buys 20GB for seven days. All run at 100Mbps. Buy in the app or by dialling *118#. Compare the RM6 pass with the 1,631GB National Day Pass, which cost 90 sen more: last month's deal was a one-off.

Switching from another telco: RM120 port-in rebate. Port to an eligible Postpaid 5G plan (RM80 to RM190 a month) or a CelcomDigi One plan. CelcomDigi credits RM20 a month to your bill for six months. On Postpaid 5G 80 (600GB, RM80 a month), the first six months cost RM60 a month. That makes the first year RM840 instead of RM960, before any tax. The limited-time Postpaid 5G 60 SE is RM50 a month instead of RM60 for 500GB, and carries a smaller RM60 port-in rebate. Porting can take up to 48 working hours. CelcomDigi advises against porting just before you travel abroad.

Pakej Rahmah Siswa, for students. 30GB for RM30, valid 180 days, on Prepaid 5G, for university students aged 25 and under. That is RM1 per GB. The RM12 weekly pass is cheaper per GB (60 sen), but it expires in seven days. A student topping up modestly over a semester does better with Rahmah Siswa.

PhoneFIX, RM1 for the first month. This is repair cover subscribed in the app, and the phone does not need to have been bought from CelcomDigi. After the first month it renews at RM3 to RM20 a month, depending on what the phone cost new. Each repair also has a service fee of RM30 to RM470. It auto-renews, so if you only want the trial month, set a reminder to cancel it.

Who should still care

  • You made any purchase from 23 July to 30 September: keep your phone on and the CelcomDigi App signed in on 8 and 9 October, and watch for the 22228MYCD SMS.
  • You are thinking of switching: the RM120 rebate has nothing to do with Mega Gegar, so there is no deadline pushing you. Compare the plan after the rebate ends, not just the first six months.
  • You only wanted cheap data: the RM6.90 deal is gone. The RM6 and RM12 passes are the standard ladder now.
