> Quick view: Everrise's 33rd Anniversary Celebration runs 4 September to 31 December 2026 at all outlets, and the gold RM100,000 star is Everrise's own contest: members who spend RM100 in a single receipt storewide go into a draw for a RM10,000 cash grand prize, an RM5,000 cash first prize and two Disney Cruise special prizes. The three-day members' price list underneath it ran Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September 2026 at 19 of the 21 stores, with a separate one-day Members' Best Value sheet on the Sunday that undercut it in the same shops. Every price is a member price, and Everrise's loyalty programme sits inside the Grab app.

> Correction, 6 September 2026: the anniversary flyers carried the RM100,000 star with no mechanic printed on them, and this article originally attributed it to QL Eggs' golden-egg contest. Everrise published the rules on its 5 and 6 September sheets. The star is Everrise's own; QL's draw is a separate campaign on the same paper. The section below has been rewritten.

What Everrise has actually put on the table

Everrise is Sarawak's largest home-grown supermarket chain, 33 years old this month, with 21 stores listed on its own site: 15 in Kuching, three in Miri, two in Bintulu and one in Kota Kinabalu. For the anniversary it published four separate flyers on 3 and 4 September 2026, one for each region, all under the same masthead reading "33rd Anniversary Celebration, 4 - 6 Sept 2026".

The Kuching sheet names 14 stores: Padungan, BDC, 4th Mile, Plaza Merdeka, Vivacity, CityONE, Green Heights Mall, Metrocity, Stutong, Pending, Samarahan, Matang Jaya, Batu Kawah and Tabuan Jaya. Demak Laut, which is on the outlet list, is not on the flyer. The Miri sheet covers all three Miri stores (Bintang Megamall, Saberkas and Boulevard Commercial Centre). The Bintulu sheet names Medan Jaya only, trading 8.30am to 10pm, which leaves the JFV store out. Kota Kinabalu is Imago Shopping Mall alone, 10am to 10pm. So 19 of 21 stores are in, and two are not.

The header carries seven campaign badges: Instant Dip, Bundle Deals, Care Package, Shopping Rush, Let's Go Green, Special Merchandise at PWP RM8.99, and the gold star. Of those, only the RM8.99 purchase-with-purchase container carries a number anywhere Everrise publishes. The rest are named on the artwork and explained nowhere on everrise.com.my, so if a Shopping Rush or an Instant Dip is the reason you are going, ask at the customer service counter before you build a trip around it.

The RM100,000 star is Everrise's own contest, and here is the mechanic

The largest thing on the anniversary flyer is a gold star reading "THE MORE YOU SPEND, THE MORE YOU WIN WORTH RM100,000". On the four sheets published on 3 and 4 September it appears with no qualifying spend, no prize list, no closing date and no small print, and there was nothing on everrise.com.my explaining it either. The only six-figure campaign those sheets did explain was a supplier badge on the egg tray, which is why this article first read the star as belonging to that campaign. That was wrong.

Everrise printed the mechanic on the follow-up flyers dated 5 and 6 September, in a panel that now sits in the top-right corner of every sheet:

  • 33rd Anniversary Celebration, 4 September to 31 December 2026, at all outlets.
  • "Members who spend RM100 in a single receipt storewide to stand a chance to win."
  • Grand prize: RM10,000 cash, one winner.
  • First prize: RM5,000 cash, one winner.
  • Special prize: a Disney Cruise, two winners.

Three things change once that is on the table. The qualifying spend is RM100 storewide in a single receipt, not RM15 on one supplier's products, so an ordinary weekly shop for a family clears it without buying anything unusual. The window is just under four months, not one weekend: it closes on 31 December 2026, so nobody needs to force a trip. And you must be a member, which at Everrise means the Grab-based loyalty programme, so a receipt rung up without a scan is not an entry.

What Everrise has not published is a terms-and-conditions page for the contest. As of 6 September there is no draw date, no statement of whether entry is automatic on a qualifying receipt or needs a separate registration, and no answer to whether an RM300 receipt counts as one entry or three. If any of that matters to how you shop, ask at the customer service counter rather than assuming, and keep the receipt either way.

QL Eggs' golden egg is a separate contest on the same paper

The campaign this article originally credited the star to is real. It is just smaller, it belongs to a supplier, and it is badged on one product rather than on the header. On the Kuching anniversary sheet the tray of 30 large eggs at RM17.99 (limit two trays) carries its own rosette: QL Eggs "Beli & Menang Telur Emas", dated 1 August to 30 September 2026, on a minimum spend of RM15 in a single receipt on QL products, entered by scanning the QR code on the artwork. The prizes printed beside it are one 65g golden egg valued at RM45,750, 20 gold bars collectively valued at RM44,300, and 650 e-wallet credits at RM50, RM20 and RM10. The two stated totals reach RM90,050 before the e-wallet credits, which is how the wording "prizes worth over RM100,000" is arrived at.

So there are two contests running on the same sheet of paper, with two different qualifying spends, two different closing dates and two different owners, and it is the coincidence of both being described in six figures that makes the flyer hard to read. Buy QL eggs on a receipt over RM100 and you are in both.

"Member price" is a Grab app price

The footer of all four flyers reads "Prices shown are for members only", above the usual "prices are subject to change" and "while stocks last". This matters more at Everrise than at most chains, because the Everrise Loyalty Program now runs on Grab. The chain's own member page says so plainly and points you at the Grab app download rather than at a plastic card. If you turn up without it, the prices in this article are not the prices you will pay.

The practical version: install Grab, find the Everrise loyalty section, and have it open before you reach the till rather than after the cashier has started scanning.

Four flyers, four price lists

This is the part most shoppers miss. The four regional sheets are laid out identically and share most of their products, but they are priced separately, and the gaps are not small.

The clearest one is PediaSure 1650g at RM204.99 in Kuching against RM194.99 in Miri and Bintulu, a RM10 gap on a single tin inside the same state. Australia's Own UHT full cream milk is RM5.29 a litre in Kuching and RM5.89 in Miri and Bintulu, which on the 12-litre carton is RM63.48 against RM70.68, a difference of RM7.20. Even fresh produce moves: China broccoli is RM2.99 in Kuching and Bintulu but RM3.69 in Miri.

Kota Kinabalu is its own case, and it cuts both ways. Imago is dearer on household and chilled lines, with Glo dishwashing liquid at RM6.59 against RM4.99 in Sarawak and Porkies luncheon meat at RM11.99 against RM9.39, both around a third more. It is cheaper on two of the imports, with Ensure Gold 800g at RM102.99 against RM103.99 and OldTown White Coffee 15s at RM16.79 against RM17.29. If you shop across the two states, the honest rule is to price-check per line rather than assume a direction.

The gifts with purchase, and the one that wants RM1,500

Each flyer carries its own gift-with-purchase block, and all of them are single receipt, while stocks last:

  • Free Everrise bag when a member spends RM250 storewide, 4 to 6 September, on the Kuching and Bintulu sheets.
  • Free Bag Bestie with RM80 of Dugro Sure Plus or Dugro Sure, on the Miri and KK Imago sheets.
  • Free Maybelline Micellar Water 400ml with RM20 and above of Garnier or L'Oreal, Kuching.
  • Free holographic DIY tumbler with stickers on a RM30 spend that includes a Coca-Cola Zero Sugar product, Kuching.
  • Free Hero 99 detergent perfume 300g with RM30 and above of Hero 99 products, Kuching.
  • Free four sticks of UCC Iced Espresso Latte or Iced Salted Caramel Latte with one UCC White Coffee 2-in-1 or 3-in-1, Miri.
  • Free water bottle collection with RM38 on selected Haleon products, KK Imago.
  • Free kid's bicycle plus an RM150 Everrise cash voucher with RM1,500 of Abbott milk powder, and this one is Miri Bintang Megamall only.

The Abbott offer is the one worth reading twice. RM1,500 of milk powder is roughly seven tins of PediaSure 1650g at the Miri member price, so the bicycle and the RM150 voucher come to about a 10 per cent return on a purchase most households would not make in one receipt.

At Batu Kawah, a government sale undercuts the member price

On 5 and 6 September, Everrise Batu Kawah also hosts a Program Jualan Rahmah Madani with the Sarawak state Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, 8.30am to 1.30pm only. Batu Kawah is one of the 14 Kuching anniversary stores, so for two of the three days the same shop is running both price lists at once, and on several lines the government one wins.

Reading the two flyers side by side:

  • Maggi 2-minute noodles 77g/79g x 5: Rahmah RM3.50 (usual RM4.90, limit two packets) against the anniversary member price of RM4.69.
  • Maggi chilli sauce 500g: Rahmah RM3.90 (usual RM5.50, limit two bottles) against RM5.19.
  • Meadows liquid detergent 4.4L: Rahmah RM15.90 (usual RM20.50, limit one) against RM17.99.
  • Vinda toilet roll 16s: Rahmah RM20.90 (usual RM29.80, limit one) against RM26.69, though the anniversary price throws in a free 2-roll pack.
  • A tray of 30 large eggs: Rahmah RM14.50 (usual RM19.09, limit two trays) against the Kuching member price of RM17.99, so two trays save RM6.98.
  • Milo Activ-Go: Rahmah is RM14.90 for the 900g softpack, or RM16.56 a kilo. The anniversary price is RM37.99 for the 1.8kg pack, or RM21.11 a kilo.

The Rahmah sale is smaller in every other way. It is 25 lines rather than a full flyer, it closes at 1.30pm, almost everything is capped at one or two units per customer, and the footer states in Malay that the sale is for households and local residents and may not be used for business purposes. Treat it as a top-up on the way in, not as a substitute for the weekend shop.

The weekend was not the only sheet running

Everrise prints a fresh flyer every few days, and the anniversary sheet was never the only live price list in the shop. Its own promotions index at everrise.com.my/category/promotion/ carries, for this stretch alone:

  • Members' Weekday, 1 to 3 September 2026 — Kuching, Miri and Bintulu sheets, posted 31 August. Finished.
  • 33rd Anniversary Members' Weekend, 4 to 6 September 2026 — the four regional sheets this article covers.
  • 1-Day Price Crush, 5 September 2026 — Kuching and Miri only, posted 4 September. Finished.
  • Program Jualan Rahmah Madani, 5 and 6 September 2026 — Everrise Batu Kawah, Kuching.
  • Members' Best Value, 6 September 2026 — Kuching, Miri and Bintulu, posted 5 September.

The last one is the one worth studying, because it ran on the final day of the anniversary weekend, in stores that were also running the anniversary sheet, and on several lines it was the cheaper of the two.

Where the 6 September sheet ran. Kuching: eight of the 14 anniversary stores — Padungan, BDC, 4th Mile, Green Heights Mall, CityONE, Plaza Merdeka, Vivacity and Metrocity. The other six Kuching stores, including Stutong, Pending, Samarahan, Matang Jaya, Batu Kawah and Tabuan Jaya, had the anniversary flyer only. Miri: two of the three — Bintang Megamall and Boulevard Commercial Centre, with Saberkas left out again, the same store the anniversary sheet excludes from its imported lines. Bintulu: Medan Jaya, 8.30am to 10pm. Kota Kinabalu got no Members' Best Value sheet at all.

Where it beat the anniversary flyer, in the same Kuching shop on the same day:

  • Porkies pork luncheon meat 340g: RM8.99 on the Members' Best Value sheet against RM9.39 on the anniversary sheet. Both are in the non-halal section, though the anniversary sheet excludes Metrocity and Samarahan from it while the one-day sheet excludes Metrocity only.
  • Munchy's Lexus 190g-200g: RM4.99 against RM5.29.

And where the anniversary flyer held. Milo Activ-Go was RM19.99 for the 900g pack on the one-day sheet, or RM22.21 a kilo, against RM37.99 for the 1.8kg pack on the anniversary sheet, or RM21.11 a kilo. The bigger pack on the older flyer was still the better rate, and both were capped at two packets.

The one-day sheet also carried lines the Kuching anniversary flyer did not: Wyeth S-26 Progress 1.65kg at RM101.99 (save RM9.00), Kleenex Ultra Soft bath tissue 20s at RM23.99 (save RM10.50), Breeze liquid detergent 3.6kg at RM19.99 (limit two bottles), Winter Blossom white rice 10kg at RM24.99 (limit two packets) and Drypers Drypantz mega pack at RM26.99 (save RM10.50, limit two).

Miri is the interesting one. The 6 September sheet priced a 12-litre carton of Binda Valley UHT full cream milk at RM63.48, the same figure Kuching shoppers were paying, against RM70.68 for the Australia's Own carton on the Miri anniversary sheet. Different brand, same format, RM7.20 apart — so for one day the regional gap described below closed, if you were willing to switch label.

The lesson is not really about this particular Sunday. It is that at Everrise the flyer in your hand is rarely the only live sheet, the sheets have different store lists, and the promotions index is the only place all of them appear together.

Who this is for, and who should skip it

Go if you are already an Everrise member on Grab and you buy formula, milk powder or nappies, because that is where the ringgit figures are largest: RM8 off PediaSure, RM16 off Ensure Gold, RM8 off the Huggies super jumbo pack. Go too if you are in Kuching and can be at Batu Kawah before 1.30pm on the Saturday or Sunday.

Skip the rush if you were going mainly for the RM100,000. Everrise's own contest runs to 31 December 2026 and takes any RM100 member receipt storewide, so a quiet weekday between now and Christmas earns the same entry with no crowd. The same is true of the QL golden egg, which runs to 30 September and wants RM15 of QL products rather than a big trolley. Skip the trip altogether if you are not signed into the loyalty programme, because without it the shelf price is not the flyer price and the receipt is not a contest entry either, so the whole thing is worth nothing until that is sorted.

Fine print that trips people up

  • Prices are member prices. Every flyer says so in the footer. No Grab loyalty scan, no flyer price.
  • The imported ranges are not chain-wide. The Kuching "Imported & Organic" section runs at only seven of the 14 stores: BDC, 4th Mile, CityONE, Green Heights Mall, Vivacity, Plaza Merdeka and Metrocity. On the Miri sheet, Pams Greek olives and Remedy kombucha are marked "exclude Saberkas".
  • The non-halal section is not everywhere. On the Kuching flyer it is marked "exclude Metrocity, Samarahan".
  • Two stores are out. Demak Laut in Kuching and JFV in Bintulu do not appear on any of the four sheets.
  • Limits are real. The egg trays are capped at two per customer on the Sarawak sheets, and the Rahmah lines at Batu Kawah are capped at one, two or three units each.
  • Some items carry no price at all. The Liansin Butterfly Thai fragrant rice 10kg is shown on the Kuching and Miri sheets as a free-spoon gift with purchase and no ringgit figure, so the shelf price is whatever the shelf says.
