Formula 1 and the FIA confirmed that the Sepang International Circuit will host a race on 2–4 October 2026. One important detail to get right: this is not the old Malaysian Grand Prix being revived. The round is officially the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, moved to Sepang for 2026 (it's Round 16 of the season) after the originally scheduled Bahrain date couldn't go ahead. Either way, it means F1 cars racing at Sepang again for the first time in nine years — a big deal for Malaysian motorsport fans.

  • Don't pay anyone yet. No official sales channel or on-sale date has been announced. Ignore any "tickets" being sold on social media or resale sites — a hyped event like this is prime bait for scams.
  • Wait for SIC's official announcement for the real prices, categories, and the on-sale date. When it lands, that's when to plan.
