> Prices, sell-outs and remaining-ticket counts in this guide were read on 27 September 2026 from Sepang International Circuit's own event page and its ticketing site (tickets.sepangcircuit.com), including each zone's seating-detail page. Rules marked "2025" come from SIC's official 2025 FAQ and Spectator Guide PDFs, because the 2026 editions had not been published when we checked. Prices change and zones sell out; the ticketing page is the arbiter.

Sepang gets two world championships a month apart this year. The Formula 1 race runs 2 to 4 October; MotoGP follows on 30 October to 1 November 2026. The MotoGP weekend is the cheaper, louder and more crowded of the two: SIC says 190,977 fans came in 2025, a record for the Malaysian round. If you are going, the useful questions are which zone, what it really costs, and what you can skip paying for.

Friday costs nothing, and every ticket covers three days

SIC's event page says Friday 30 October 2026 is free entry to all seat zones. Friday is practice for all three classes, so it is a no-cost way to test the drive, the parking and the heat before committing a family to Sunday.

Every paid ticket is a three-day ticket: the booking page for each zone shows validity from Friday 30 October, 9am, to Sunday 1 November, 6pm. In 2025 SIC's FAQ stated plainly that no one-day tickets are sold, and the 2026 listings follow the same pattern. The Saturday sprint and Sunday race times for 2026 were not yet published; in 2025 both started at 3pm.

The prices, zone by zone

Read 27 September 2026, per person, for all three days:

  • K2 Hillstand, RM49.90 (MyKad holders only). A grass bank overlooking Turns 3 and 4, heavy braking and overtaking. Toilets and a food kiosk, but no giant screen, so you follow the race order by ear (live commentary has been on 102.1 FM). About 2,450 left.
  • F Grandstand, RM143.75. Close to the tight double apex at Turns 7 and 8, one giant screen. About 1,100 left.
  • K1 Grandstand, RM206.25. Turns 1 and 2, the best view of the start and the first-lap scramble. One screen. Only about 400 left.
  • Marc Marquez Tribune at K1, RM256.25. The fan zone at the first corner, entered via K1 and the Welcome Centre. About 550 left. The summary table further down the same SIC page still lists this zone at RM425 and "sold out"; the ticket card and the booking page both sell it at RM256.25, so trust the booking page.
  • Main Grandstand, RM345. Covered seating on the start-finish straight facing the pit lane and garages, with five giant screens. First come, first served seating. The largest stock, about 8,500 left.
  • Hakim Danish Tribune, RM425. A section of the Main Grandstand named for the Malaysian rider, same view and amenities. About 320 left.
  • Premier Roving, RM510. Move between all grandstands except the tribunes, with a dedicated shuttle. About 700 left.
  • Premier Seat, RM640: sold out. Main straight seat with meals, unlimited drinks and merchandise.
  • Hospitality: MotoGP VIP Village two-day (EUR 2,370.60) and Sunday (EUR 2,014.20) passes are sold out; the Club Suite is on sale at RM4,229.28 per adult.
  • Night Track Tour, RM540. A separate after-dark lap on a double-decker bus with stops at Turn 11 (the Simoncelli memorial), Turn 15 and the starting grid, plus special-edition merchandise. Late arrivals are not admitted and there are no refunds.

The remaining counts are what SIC's page displayed on the day; they fall quickly in October.

The four-ticket bundle: 15% off on most stands

The booking page offers a Bundle of 4 on most zones, and the maths is consistent:

  • Main Grandstand: RM1,173 for four, or RM293.25 each (saves RM207).
  • K1 Grandstand: RM701.24, or RM175.31 each (saves RM123.76).
  • F Grandstand: RM488.75, or RM122.19 each (saves RM86.25).
  • Marc Marquez Tribune: RM871.25, or RM217.81 each (saves RM153.75).
  • Premier Roving: RM1,734, or RM433.50 each (saves RM306).
  • Hakim Danish Tribune: RM1,700, exactly four times RM425. No saving.
  • K2 Hillstand: no bundle; at RM49.90 it does not need one.

If three of you are going to the Main Grandstand, four bundled tickets (RM1,173) cost only RM138 more than three singles (RM1,035).

Rules worth knowing before you pay

These come from SIC's 2025 FAQ and Spectator Guide; check the 2026 terms at checkout.

  • Children: in 2025 every child aged 7 and above needed a full adult ticket; there were no child prices outside hospitality. Bring ear protection for younger children.
  • OKU: 2025 offered 50% off Main Grandstand at the circuit ticket counter on presentation of an OKU card.
  • No refunds. You can upgrade at the Welcome Centre customer-service counter by paying the difference; downgrades are not allowed.
  • Food and drink: no outside food or drinks; one water bottle of up to 600ml was allowed. It is a strict no-drone zone.
  • Getting there in 2025: car parking RM20 per entry, motorcycles RM10 (Bays 5 and 12). Rapid KL ran special buses from KLIA2 (RM12 one way) and from KLCC and Pasar Seni (RM20 one way, RM35 return), sold on its online shop. Arrangements for 2026 had not been announced when we checked.

Where to buy, and where not to

Buy on sepangcircuit.com (which links to tickets.sepangcircuit.com) or through an agent on SIC's Authorised Ticketing Agents page, which names Malaysian agents such as Ticket2U alongside overseas tour operators. SIC's notice says sales or resale by anyone not on that list are "strictly prohibited" under its terms, which is the main risk of buying a sold-out zone from a stranger online. Tickets are e-tickets with a QR code, delivered by email.

Which ticket for whom

  • On a tight budget with a MyKad: K2 at RM49.90, plus the free Friday. Bring a hat, an umbrella and something to sit on.
  • Want to see the start: K1 at RM206.25, or the Marquez Tribune next to it, before the last few hundred go.
  • Family with young children, or rain-averse: the covered Main Grandstand, ideally as a four-ticket bundle.
  • Want to watch from everywhere: Premier Roving, the only ticket that lets you change grandstands.
