> Update, 5 October 2026: There's no RM30 Midweek Meal in October. IKEA Malaysia's Swedish Restaurant page has replaced it with one discounted main a day on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 13–29 October 2026, for IKEA Family members: 8pcs chicken ball RM8.15 (Monday), Alaska pollock fish & chips RM10.10 (Tuesday) and 8pcs beef meatballs RM9.00 (Wednesday). Each is about 25% off. The September RM30 round ended on 30 September.

October 2026 Midweek specials: dates and prices

IKEA prints the window as "every Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday from 13–29 Oct 2026". On the calendar, that gives these dates:

  • Monday special, 19 and 26 October: 8pcs chicken ball with mashed potatoes and broccoli. RM8.15 IKEA Family price (normal RM10.90). You save RM2.75.
  • Tuesday special, 13, 20 and 27 October: Alaska pollock fish & chips with broccoli. RM10.10 IKEA Family price (normal RM13.50). You save RM3.40.
  • Wednesday special, 14, 21 and 28 October: 8pcs beef meatballs with mashed potatoes and broccoli. RM9.00 IKEA Family price (normal RM12). You save RM3.

Monday 12 October falls before the window opens, so the first Monday special is 19 October. There are no specials from 5 to 12 October. No national public holiday falls between 13 and 29 October. Deepavali is on 8 November.

What changed from the RM30 set

The RM30 Midweek Meal (July and September 2026) gave you any 3 of meatballs, fish & chips or chicken chop for RM30. October's format is different in three ways:

  1. One dish per day, not a choice of three. You get the day's dish at the special price. Everything else on the menu is full price.
  2. No minimum of three plates. The RM30 set only paid off if you ordered three mains. The October price applies to a single plate, so solo diners save too.
  3. Chicken chop is out. It was the best-value pick in the RM30 set (RM13.90 at menu price). In October it has no member discount.

Worked examples

All prices are from IKEA Malaysia's Swedish Restaurant page on 5 October 2026.

  • Solo, Tuesday: fish & chips RM10.10 plus coffee or tea RM2.50 comes to RM12.60. In September you'd have paid RM13.50 for the plate alone, because the RM30 set needed three mains.
  • Three people, Wednesday: 3 beef meatball plates come to RM27. That is RM3 less than the old RM30 set and RM9 less than menu price (RM36).
  • Three people, Tuesday: 3 fish & chips come to RM30.30. That's almost the same as the RM30 set.
  • Chicken chop fans: 3 chicken chops cost RM41.70 in October, against RM30 in September. If that's your order, October costs you RM11.70 more.
  • Monday, chicken ball plus soup: the chicken ball combo with mushroom soup is RM13.90 for members. On 19 and 26 October, ordering the RM8.15 Monday plate plus a RM4.90 mushroom soup separately comes to RM13.05, which is 85 sen cheaper.

How to get the price

  1. Join IKEA Family. It's free in the IKEA app or at the store. Every price on this page is members-only.
  2. Go on the right day. Each day has its own dish. Showing up on a Tuesday for meatballs gets you the normal RM12 price.
  3. Show your membership at the counter. IKEA Malaysia stores are cashless, so pay by card or e-wallet.

Who it suits, and who should skip it

It's a good fit for:

  • Solo diners and couples, who couldn't really use the RM30 set
  • Anyone already going to IKEA Damansara, Cheras, Tebrau or Batu Kawan on a weekday
  • Meatball and fish & chips eaters

Skip it if:

  • You're a chicken chop regular. There's no October chop deal
  • You can only go at weekends. The specials run Monday to Wednesday only
  • You're in Sabah or Sarawak. IKEA's East Malaysia service is online only and has no Swedish Restaurant

  • Kids Eat Free, 6–9 October 2026: 1 free Kids Chicken Ball (normally RM5.90) per child under 12 with each main bought from the regular adult menu. Members only, dine-in only, and the kids must be there at checkout. *Example:* two adults ordering a chicken chop and fish & chips (RM27.40) get two kids' plates free, so the meal costs RM27.40 instead of RM39.20.
  • The chicken ball is back from 6 October: 8pcs RM10.90, 12pcs RM13.90, kids' chicken ball RM5.90. The IKEA Family combo of 8pcs chicken ball with mushroom soup is RM13.90 (normal RM15.80), from 6 October to 16 November.
  • Baked chicken mandi with biryani rice, RM16.90: weekdays only from 6 October to 30 November, excluding public holidays.
  • Breakfast special: nasi lemak with chicken ball RM7.90 for members (normal RM8.90), every day from 6 October, 9.30–11am. The Western breakfast is RM6.90 for members (normal RM7.90). Daily local dishes include naan with curry RM2.90 (Monday), beehoon Siam RM2 (Tuesday), fried rice RM1.90 (Thursday) and mee goreng mamak RM2.50 (Friday to Sunday).
  • Biscoff cheesecake, by Secret Recipe for IKEA: RM9.90 for members (normal RM10.90), 6 October to 16 November.
  • Family Combo, RM39.90 (normal RM45.40): 1 chicken chop, 1 pasta in tomato sauce with meatballs, 2 mushroom soups and 2 kids' chicken nuggets. Every weekday except public holidays.
  • FIKA set, RM8.50: a slice of Swedish Crunchy Almond Chocolate Cake with coffee, daily from 3pm to 5pm.

Ended on 30 September or earlier: the RM30 Midweek Meal, the weekend 2-slice cake deal (RM15) and the National Day nasi lemak menu. None of them is on the restaurant page in October.

Fine print

  • IKEA Family members only. Membership is free.
  • One dish per day. The Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday prices apply only to that day's dish.
  • Limit per member: IKEA hasn't published one for the midweek specials. Ask at the counter if you're ordering for a group.
  • Dine-in or takeaway: not stated for the specials. The Kids Eat Free terms say dine-in only.
  • Halal: all menus at IKEA Malaysia's Swedish Restaurant, Swedish Bistro and Swedish Café are halal-certified.
  • Cashless: IKEA Malaysia stores don't take cash.

  • IKEA Damansara: Monday–Sunday, 9.30am–10pm
  • IKEA Cheras: Monday–Sunday, 9.30am–9.30pm
  • IKEA Tebrau (Johor Bahru): Monday–Sunday, 9.30am–9.30pm
  • IKEA Batu Kawan (Penang): Monday–Sunday, 9.30am–9.30pm

Lunch queues build from about 12pm to 2pm. On a special day, go before noon or after 2.30pm.

Record: earlier rounds

  • July 2026: RM30 for any 3 mains on 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29 July. IKEA Family members only.
  • August 2026: no RM30 round. Members got Baked Salmon Fillet for RM18.80 on Tuesdays and fish & chips for RM9.45 on Wednesdays instead.
  • September 2026: RM30 for any 3 mains on 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 22, 23, 29 and 30 September, with Malaysia Day (16 September) left out.
  • October 2026: one discounted main per day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 13–29 October (above).

IKEA's food deals skip months and change format. The RM30 set could come back, but nothing has been announced for November. Check the Swedish Restaurant page at the start of each month.
