How much do I need to spend on BESTÅ to get the IKEA gift card?

At least RM1,000 on a complete BESTÅ storage combination in a single receipt between 3 September and 10 November 2026. RM1,000-RM1,999 gets a RM100 gift card, RM2,000-RM2,999 gets RM300, and RM3,000 or more gets RM500. Delivery, picking, assembly and installation do not count towards the spend.

How do I collect the BESTÅ gift card if I buy online?

Your digital invoice is emailed after the order is delivered. Bring it to the Exchange & Returns Counter in the Customer Service area of any IKEA Malaysia store (Damansara, Cheras, Tebrau or Batu Kawan) by 30 November 2026. The East Malaysia online store is not part of the promotion.

Can I use the IKEA gift card online, and when does it expire?

The terms say the gift card can only be used at IKEA Malaysia stores and is valid for two years from the date it is issued. It cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, and IKEA can withdraw it if you return BESTÅ items and fall below the spend tier.

Is the IKEA BESTÅ gift card promotion still on?

Yes, as of 24 October 2026. IKEA Malaysia's BESTÅ page and offers page still list the gift card offer for complete BESTÅ storage combinations bought from 3 September to 10 November 2026 in a single receipt: RM100 for RM1,000, RM300 for RM2,000 and RM500 for RM3,000. The card must be collected at a store's Exchange & Returns Counter by 30 November 2026, and the East Malaysia online store is still excluded.

If I spend RM6,000 on BESTÅ, do I get two gift cards?

No. The terms award one gift card per qualifying single receipt, and RM3,000 is the top tier, so a RM6,000 BESTÅ combination on one receipt still earns a single RM500 card. That works out to about 8.3% back, against 16.7% for a receipt of exactly RM3,000. Past RM3,000 the reward stops growing, so judge the rest of the purchase on whether you want the furniture. IKEA also reserves the right to disqualify customers it believes have tried to undermine the promotion mechanics, so splitting one order into several receipts at the till is a risk rather than a tactic.

IKEA Malaysia gives a free gift card worth RM100, RM300 or RM500 when you buy a complete BESTÅ storage combination of RM1,000, RM2,000 or RM3,000 in one receipt, until 10 November 2026. The tiers have sharp cliffs, delivery and assembly do not count, and the card must be collected at a store counter by 30 November. We priced real BESTÅ combinations to show where the offer pays best.

This is a gift-card offer, not a price cut, so the value lands on your next IKEA trip. Everything below comes from the offer terms on IKEA Malaysia's own BESTÅ page and the prices listed there, which we read on 15 September 2026 and re-checked on 24 October 2026.

How the offer works, step by step

Build a complete BESTÅ combination. IKEA's terms define that as BESTÅ frames, hinges and related fittings and accessories, including legs, doors, integrated lighting, knobs and handles, boxes and organisers, and cable management. The ready-made "BESTÅ storage combination" and "TV bench" listings qualify on their own.
Pay for it in one receipt between 3 September and 10 November 2026, in any IKEA Malaysia store or on the Peninsular online store.
Check your tier: RM1,000-RM1,999 gets one RM100 gift card, RM2,000-RM2,999 gets one RM300 card, and RM3,000 or more gets one RM500 card. RM3,000 is the ceiling: a RM6,000 combination still earns RM500.
Go to the Exchange & Returns Counter in the Customer Service area of an IKEA store with the original receipt (in-store purchase) or the digital invoice (online purchase). A card slip or a photocopy is rejected.
Do this by 30 November 2026. Online buyers only get the invoice by email after the order is delivered, so leave time for delivery before the deadline.

What the tiers are really worth

Because each tier is a flat card, the percentage you get back swings a lot:

RM1,000 spent returns 10%, but RM1,999 returns only 5%.
RM2,000 returns 15%, dropping to 10% at RM2,999.
RM3,000 returns 16.7%, the best rate in the offer, and it falls from there.

The sweet spots are just over RM2,000 and just over RM3,000. The worst place to be is RM1,800 to RM1,999.

Worked examples with real BESTÅ prices

These use combinations listed on IKEA Malaysia's site on 15 September 2026. Prices can change during the campaign.

A tall storage cabinet. The white BESTÅ storage combination with doors (120x42x193 cm) is RM1,130. That earns a RM100 card on its own.

A pair of cabinets for a living room. The dark grey storage combination with doors (180x42x112 cm, RM1,325) plus the black-brown combination with doors (120x42x74 cm, RM700) comes to RM2,025 in one receipt, which earns RM300. Paid as two separate receipts, the RM700 one earns nothing and you get only RM100.

A full TV wall. The dark grey BESTÅ TV storage combination with glass doors (300x42x231 cm) costs RM3,075 and earns the top RM500 card, an effective 16% back.

Close to a cliff. The white stained oak media storage combination (360x42x231 cm) is RM2,825, which earns RM300. Adding the white BESTÅ shelf unit with doors (120x42x38 cm, RM310) takes the receipt to RM3,135 and lifts the card to RM500. The extra RM310 buys RM200 more in gift card, which is only good value if you wanted that low cabinet anyway.

Below the line. The white stained oak storage combination with drawers (180x42x74 cm) is RM900. On its own it earns nothing.

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use it if you are moving house, renovating or replacing a TV console, and BESTÅ was already on your list. People furnishing a new condo can plan the whole living-room wall as one receipt and land in the RM500 tier.

Skip it if you only need one small TV bench or a single wall cabinet. Those sit well under RM1,000, and padding the cart to reach a card rarely pays. Also skip it if you live in Sabah or Sarawak and order online: the East Malaysia online store is excluded, and the card can only be collected at a store counter in Peninsular Malaysia.

Fine print that trips people up

Services don't count. Picking, delivery, assembly and installation are excluded from the RM1,000, RM2,000 and RM3,000 thresholds. Check the product subtotal, not the grand total.
One receipt, one card. Splitting a big order across two receipts can drop you a whole tier.
Returns can cancel the card. If returning BESTÅ items takes you below your tier, IKEA may withdraw the card or deduct the used value from your refund.
Non-BESTÅ add-ons are a grey area. The BESTÅ page also lists KUGGIS boxes and separate LED lights. The terms cover boxes, organisers and lighting "related" to BESTÅ, but if one of those is what pushes you over a threshold, ask at the counter before paying.
The card is store-only. It is valid for two years from issue, can only be used at IKEA Malaysia stores, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Still running? Our 24 October check

Yes. On 24 October 2026 the BESTÅ page and IKEA Malaysia's offers page still list the gift card offer for purchases from 3 September to 10 November 2026, with the same three tiers, the same 30 November collection deadline and the same East Malaysia online store exclusion. That leaves about two and a half weeks to buy.

What we re-checked against the live listings:

Unchanged: the white storage combination with doors (120x42x193 cm) at RM1,130, the dark grey combination with doors (180x42x112 cm) at RM1,325, the black-brown combination with doors (120x42x74 cm) at RM700, the dark grey TV storage combination with glass doors at RM3,075, the white stained oak media combination at RM2,825 and the white stained oak combination with drawers at RM900.
Gone: the white wall-mounted cabinet combination (120x42x38 cm, RM350) we used in September no longer appears in IKEA's BESTÅ listings, so the "close to a cliff" example now uses the RM310 white shelf unit with doors of the same size.
Cheaper option worth knowing: the plain white version of the 360 cm media wall (white/Lappviken white) is RM2,225, RM600 less than the stained oak finish. On its own it sits in the RM300 tier, which is 13.5% back.

If you order online, remember the digital invoice only arrives after delivery, and you still need to reach a store counter by 30 November. An order placed in the last days before 10 November leaves little room for a late delivery.

Other IKEA offers running at the same time

IKEA's Spend & Win challenge needs a minimum of RM500 on home furnishing products in one in-store receipt between 14 August and 13 November 2026, for a chance at one of three GWM HAVAL H6 HEV cars. A qualifying in-store BESTÅ receipt clears that spend, but the contest has its own terms. Online buyers with Maybank, Public Bank, CIMB, Hong Leong or HSBC cards can also use IKEA's 0% instalment plan.
