> Quick view: Impiana Hotel Ipoh has put every room category on its website at 55% off plus a further 10% off for 10.10. On the booking engine on 9 October, a Deluxe room for a Wednesday night in October showed RM164 instead of RM400, and a Family Room showed RM287 instead of RM700. Book by 22 October and stay any night up to 31 December 2026. Pay attention to the fine print, though: the booking cannot be cancelled or changed, and tax is added on top.

What is on offer
Impiana Hotel Ipoh is the 168-room hotel on Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah (the old Jalan Gopeng), on the southern side of the city centre, with views of the limestone hills from the upper floors. Its 10.10 poster, titled "Your Next Stay, A Perfect 10", spells out the terms:
- 55% off plus an extra 10% off all room categories
- Booking period: 8 to 22 October 2026
- Stay period: 8 October to 31 December 2026
- Website direct booking only (impianaipoh.com.my)
- prices exclude 8% SST and a RM3 charge, and every booking is non-refundable with no amendments
The poster says the combined discount works out to 59.5%. On the booking engine the cut is actually a fraction smaller, 59% (RM400 to RM164 is exactly 41% of the crossed-out price). It is a small gap, but it shows the engine price is the one to trust.
The real rates we found
We ran the hotel's booking engine on 9 October 2026 for two adults. The deal sits on the "Best Available Rate" with a red "10.10 Double Deal" tag, in two versions: room only, or with buffet breakfast for two. All figures are per room per night, before tax.
Wednesday 21 October:
- Deluxe King or Twin: RM164 room only (was RM400), RM209.10 with breakfast (was RM510)
- Premier King or Twin: RM213.20 (was RM520), RM258.30 with breakfast
- Family Room: RM287 (was RM700), RM354.65 with breakfast
- Executive Suite: RM311.60 (was RM760), RM356.70 with breakfast
Saturday 24 October: Deluxe RM184.50 (was RM450) or RM229.60 with breakfast; Family Room RM307.50 or RM375.15 with breakfast.
24 to 26 December (2 nights, over Christmas): Deluxe RM430.50 for both nights, or RM520.70 with breakfast; Family Room RM676.50 room only.
The discount held on every date we tried, including the Christmas weekend. The poster does not list blackout dates, but rooms are limited, and the Premier Twin was already showing "Last 4 Rooms" for 21 October.
How to book, step by step
- Go to impianaipoh.com.my and use the booking bar, or open the 10.10 Double Deals card on the Offers page.
- Enter your dates and guests. Look for the rate tagged 10.10 Double Deal under Best Available Rate.
- Choose room only or Include Breakfast. Decide now, because you cannot change the booking later.
- Pay online. At check-in you pay the RM3 per room per night Perak levy, which the engine says applies to all guests.
What it costs: worked examples
Add 8% SST to the engine price, then RM3 for each night.
- Couple, one weekday night, room only: RM164 + RM13.12 SST + RM3 = RM180.12. At the crossed-out RM400 rate the same night would be RM435.
- Couple, one weekday night with breakfast: RM209.10 + RM16.73 + RM3 = RM228.83. Breakfast adds only RM45.10 before tax for two people. The hotel's walk-in buffet breakfast is RM48 nett per adult, so two walk-in breakfasts would cost RM96. If you plan to eat at the hotel, take the breakfast rate.
- Family of four on a Saturday, Family Room with breakfast: RM375.15 + RM30.01 + RM3 = RM408.16. The Family Room has a king bed plus a single, children aged 12 and under stay free on the existing beds, and breakfast for children aged 5 to 12 is RM25 nett each. Two children add RM50, so the total is RM458.16.
- Christmas weekend, Deluxe with breakfast, 24 to 26 December: RM520.70 + RM41.66 + RM6 = RM568.36 for two nights.
How big is the saving really?
The crossed-out RM400 is not what most people pay. The hotel's own Offers page lists its everyday Best Available Rate and Early Bird cards at "from RM200", already described as up to 50% off. So against the hotel's usual web price, the 10.10 Deluxe saves about RM36 a night, not RM236. That is still a fair discount for a weekend or a school-holiday night in December, but it is not as dramatic as the poster suggests.
The packages are not part of the 10.10 deal. The 24-Hour Getaway stays at RM280, the Hot Spring Night Park package at RM379, and the Lost World of Tambun package at RM450 a night. For comparison, the 10.10 Deluxe with breakfast (RM209.10) plus two adult MyKad day tickets at Lost World (RM125 each when we checked in late September) comes to about RM459 before room tax. So the package is not a worse buy, and you get no extra saving by splitting it.
Who it suits, and who should skip it
Good for: people who already know the dates of a December school-holiday trip or a Deepavali weekend in Ipoh. It also suits families who can use the Family Room with two children free, and anyone driving up from the Klang Valley for a food weekend.
Skip it if: your dates might change. This is the biggest risk. The cancellation policy on the rate says the guest is charged the full price if they cancel, and the poster rules out amendments. If your plans are uncertain, a refundable rate on the same engine costs more but keeps your options open.
Fine print that trips people up
- Non-refundable, no changes. A wrong date or a cancelled trip means you lose the money.
- Tax is on top. Prices exclude 8% SST and RM3 per room per night, payable at check-in.
- Website only. The deal is not on booking apps, and not for walk-ins or phone bookings.
- Extra bed is extra. RM85 nett a night, or RM100 nett with breakfast, one per room and only if available.
- Parking is first come, first served. Free hotel parking is limited, and public bays nearby cost RM4 a day through the Park@Perak app, according to the Offers page.
