> Quick view: Jogoya, the big Japanese-style buffet at The Starhill in Bukit Bintang, is running an "October Feast" from 1 to 31 October 2026. Red lobster is all-you-can-eat for the month, and on weekends every adult buffet comes with one braised golden abalone. The buffet price does not change: adults pay RM177.50 to RM212.30 nett depending on the day and meal. Go on a weekend if you want the abalone, and book ahead.

What Jogoya announced
Jogoya posted the promotion on its Facebook page on 28 September, with a poster dated 1 to 31 October 2026. Two things are added to the usual spread:
- Red lobster, all you can eat. Jogoya describes it as freshly prepared and served in unlimited portions. (This is the shellfish, not the American restaurant chain of the same name.)
- Weekend Special: one braised golden abalone per adult buffet. The poster limits it to "1 serving per person" and says T&C apply. Children's buffets are not mentioned.
Everything else is Jogoya as usual: a single buffet price covering its Japanese, teppanyaki, dim sum, Western, barbecue, steamboat and dessert counters.
What it costs
Jogoya does not list a special October price, and its own price page still shows the standard rates. All prices are nett, already including 6% tax and 10% service charge:
- Monday to Thursday lunch: RM177.50 adult, RM88.75 child (101cm to 130cm)
- Monday to Thursday dinner: RM189.10 adult, RM94.55 child
- Friday to Sunday lunch: RM200.70 adult, RM100.35 child
- Friday to Sunday dinner: RM212.30 adult, RM106.15 child
- Toddlers (85cm to 100cm): RM23.20 at every meal. Below 85cm eats free.
Children are priced by height, not age, so bring the little ones expecting them to be measured at the counter.
Worked examples
A couple on a Tuesday lunch: 2 x RM177.50 = RM355. You get unlimited lobster, but no abalone, because that is a weekend extra.
The same couple on a Saturday dinner: 2 x RM212.30 = RM424.60, with two braised abalone included.
A family on a Sunday lunch (two adults, a 120cm child and a 95cm toddler): 2 x RM200.70 + RM100.35 + RM23.20 = RM524.95. Two abalone, one for each adult.
The useful detail is the gap between weekday and weekend prices. At both lunch and dinner, an adult pays RM23.20 more on Friday to Sunday than on Monday to Thursday. That surcharge exists all year. In October it buys you a braised abalone you would not otherwise get, so this is the month when the weekend price is easiest to justify.
Who it is good for, and who should skip it
It suits seafood lovers who would eat lobster anyway, birthday or anniversary dinners where the abalone adds an occasion feel, and groups of adults booking a weekend table. Shoppers already in Bukit Bintang can walk over from Pavilion KL or the Bukit Bintang MRT and monorail stations.
Skip it if you mainly want sushi and sashimi and do not care about shellfish: you pay the same as any other month, so there is no saving. Families with mostly young children also get less out of it, since the abalone is only for adult buffets. Budget diners should look at the Seoul Garden senior deal or the Haidilao Happy Pass instead.
Fine print that trips people up
- "Weekend" is not defined on the poster. Jogoya's Friday prices are on the weekend tier, but the abalone is only promised for the "weekend". If you plan a Friday visit for the abalone, ask when you book.
- Online booking is not instant. Jogoya's website form says a reservation is not confirmed until staff call back, which can take up to two working days. For weekend slots, WhatsApp 016-970 1268 or call 03-2141 1666 instead.
- Festive pricing can apply. Jogoya charges a higher festive rate on some dates. None of its listed festive dates fall in October, but the price page has not been updated since mid-year, so confirm the rate when you book.
- Last weekends. After tonight, the weekends left are 11, 17-18, 24-25 and Saturday 31 October.
