Kuching does not have the rows of reflexology shops you find in KL's Bukit Bintang, and most of its hotel spas have quietly disappeared. Hilton Kuching, Pullman and Imperial do not list a spa on their own websites, and Thai Odyssey, the chain in many Malaysian malls, has no Kuching outlet. What the city has instead is a spread of independent places, from blind masseurs on Jalan Rock to Thai-style spas in Padungan and late-night family reflexology centres in the newer commercial blocks off Jalan Stutong.
Prices here are lower than in KL. An hour of foot reflexology costs RM48 to RM68 at the places below, and a full-body hour RM48 to RM105. At the KL chains and hotel spas in our Klang Valley price guide, a full-body hour started at RM111. The catch is that few Kuching places publish a full price list online, so we read each one from the venue's own booking page, Facebook posts or price board.
How to choose a massage place in Kuching
Decide what you want first. Foot reflexology is done in a reclining chair, fully clothed, and usually includes a few minutes on the head, shoulders and back. A body massage needs a private room or curtained bed, and oil massages (Balinese, aroma, warm oil) cost more than a dry Thai or traditional massage of the same length.
Check how long the session really is. Prices are quoted by the hour, but a 60-minute booking often includes a foot wash and changing time. Ask whether the time starts when the therapist starts.
Look for a member rate. Footsiie Q prints a member column that is about RM10 cheaper for every treatment, which pays for itself quickly if you go monthly.
Ask about extra charges at hotel spas. Neither Eden Wellness poster says whether service charge or tax is added on top, so ask before you book.
Book ahead for blind massage. Iska's masseurs work by appointment, and men massage men and women massage women.
Where we looked
We read the menus and posts below on 24 October 2026. We left out places that publish no prices on their own channels, including a newly opened Thai massage chain branch on Jalan Ban Hock and two Galacity and Green Hill spas, and one Kuching spa page whose last price post was from December 2024.
How to pick
For the cheapest honest hour, Iska's RM48 is hard to beat, and it supports blind workers. For a clean, bookable spa with every price listed, Siam Kenyalang is the safest choice. For a late session after dinner, Footsiie Q stays open past midnight. For a treat, Eden Wellness's Malay massage promo and Senspa's two-person deal are the best value, but check that they are still running before you go, because neither shows an end date.
