An hour of massage in the Klang Valley can cost RM48 or RM390, and the gap is not only about the room. It is about which hour you book, whether 8% SST is already inside the number, and whether a package or membership changes the rate. We read the current menus of seven operators on 10 October 2026, all on their own websites, booking pages or menu PDFs, and set them side by side.

How to choose

Decide what you actually want. Foot reflexology chains (HealthLand, Oriental Signature) run rows of recliners, fully clothed, and are built for a 60-minute walk-in. Day spas (Urban Retreat, Ozmosis) use private rooms and oil-based full-body treatments. Hotel spas (Donna Spa, Spa Village) charge for the setting, the facilities and the time either side of the treatment.

Book the off-peak window. Five of the seven price the same hour lower earlier in the day. HealthLand's 60-minute foot treatment drops from RM77 to RM48 before 3pm. Urban Retreat's 90-minute massage is RM189 instead of RM219 from Monday to Thursday, 11am to 3pm. Donna Spa takes RM40 off between 9.30am and 2pm. Weekends and public holidays usually cost more, not less.

Ask if the price is nett. Urban Retreat prints "prices include tax" and Donna Spa prints "nett". Thai Odyssey and Ozmosis say 8% SST is added. Spa Village adds service charge and tax. Oriental Signature's menu does not say. On a RM160 hour, 8% is RM12.80.

Check the operator is licensed. Spa and reflexology premises in KL and Selangor are licensed by the local council; Klang's 2013 by-law, for example, prohibits running a beauty or health-care centre without one. Operators that publish a fixed menu, list their outlets and set out house rules (Oriental Signature's FAQ, for example, says underwear stays on and disposables are provided) are the safer bet.

Look at the per-minute cost. Hotel spas often sell 50 or 80 minutes rather than 60 or 90. Spa Village's 50 minutes at RM300 works out to RM6 a minute, close to Donna Spa's RM6.50, and roughly three times HealthLand's body rate.

The seven, cheapest first

All prices are for one person and were read on 10 October 2026. Promotions without a printed end date are marked as such; call before you go.

Which one to book

For a quick fix after work, HealthLand or Oriental Signature. HealthLand is the cheaper hour; Oriental Signature's mall outlets are easier to reach on the LRT and MRT in the city centre. If you can go before 3pm, HealthLand's RM48 foot hour has no rival in this list.

For a proper full-body massage on a budget, Urban Retreat's RM159 hour already includes tax, so it lands close to Thai Odyssey's RM140 after SST (RM151.20). If you plan to go regularly before the end of October, Thai Odyssey's Buy 5 Free 2 brings a 60-minute Thai massage down to RM108 a session including SST, at the named outlets only.

For a treat or a gift, compare the hotel spas on the final bill, not the menu line. Donna Spa is nett and cheaper before 2pm. Spa Village adds service charge and tax to RM300, but it sells 50 minutes and includes the setting of The Ritz-Carlton.

Before you pay, confirm three things at the counter: whether the quoted price is nett, whether the promotion applies at that outlet, and the cancellation rule (Oriental Signature wants 3 hours' notice; Spa Village wants 4).
