The mall's card for Suite 536 offers up to 60% off selected items, plus an extra 25% off five selected items, 20% off three or 16% off two. That beats the 1–13 September anniversary terms on every tier. Our 14 September update said no sale was running, which was wrong: the mall published this card on 17 September and dated it from the 13th. Every figure below was re-read from the mall's own deal, store and event records on 27 September 2026.

Is the Max Mara sale at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets still on?

Yes, for four more days. The Genting Highlands Premium Outlets deals feed carries a card titled "Max Mara Special Sale 13 to 30 September", valid from 13 September to 11:59pm on 30 September 2026. Max Mara's own store record lists the same card next to its year-round VIP Shopper deal. The centre's Malaysia Day Specials page (25–27 September) repeats the same terms.

The card has four lines:

  • Up to 60% savings on selected items
  • Extra 25% savings with purchase of 5 selected items
  • Extra 20% savings with purchase of 3 selected items
  • Extra 16% savings with purchase of 2 selected items

There's nothing for a single item. If you're buying one piece, the only extra discount on offer is the VIP 10% (below).

About our earlier update. On 14 September the deals feed had no Max Mara card, and we wrote that only the VIP 10% was left. The mall added the 13–30 September card on 17 September at 10:21am, dated from the 13th, so readers were told there was no sale while one was running. This version replaces that one.

What it costs: worked RM examples

Max Mara doesn't publish outlet prices. The examples below use a round RM1,000 price per selected item, and the maths works the same at any price.

  • Two items (RM2,000): extra 16% takes RM320 off. You pay RM1,680.
  • Three items (RM3,000): extra 20% takes RM600 off. You pay RM2,400, or RM800 an item.
  • Five items (RM5,000): extra 25% takes RM1,250 off. You pay RM3,750, or RM750 an item.
  • For comparison, the 1–13 September anniversary terms: two items were RM1,700 (15%) and three were RM2,400 (20%). There was no five-item tier. August's five-item tier was deeper (31%), so five items cost RM3,450 then.

The four-item trap. The card has no four-item tier. If four items only get the three-item 20%, they cost RM3,200. A fifth item then takes you to RM3,750, so the fifth piece effectively costs RM550 instead of RM1,000. The card doesn't say how a four-item basket is treated, so ask at the counter before you pay for four.

The "up to 60%" line is the rail markdown on selected pieces. The card doesn't say whether the extra 16–25% is taken off the already-reduced price or the original ticket. If it comes off the reduced price, a RM2,500 piece marked down 60% (to RM1,000) becomes RM750 in a five-item basket, 70% below its original ticket. Ask the store which applies before you rely on that.

Does the VIP 10% stack?

Max Mara's store record still lists the VIP Shopper deal: extra 10% off selected items, 1 January to 31 December 2026. Sign-up is free at the mall's VIP Club page with an email address and mobile number, and it's the same login as the Premium Outlets Malaysia app. Neither the deal card nor the VIP deal says whether the two combine. Signing up costs nothing, so do it before you go and ask at the till. If they do stack, three RM1,000 items would come to RM2,160 (RM2,400 less 10%).

How Max Mara's sales here have run

The mall's own deal records for this unit show how often sales come round and how much the terms change:

  • 1–31 May 2025: extra 25% off 4 selected items, extra 15% off 2
  • 1–30 September 2025: extra 15% off 2 selected items
  • 1–30 April 2026: extra 20% off 4 selected items, extra 10% off 2
  • 1–31 July 2026: extra 20% + 10% off 5 selected items, extra 15% + 10% off 3, extra 10% off 2
  • 1–31 August 2026: up to 60% off selected items, extra 31% off 5, extra 25% off 4, extra 15% off 2
  • 1–13 September 2026 (anniversary): extra 20% off 3 selected items, extra 15% off 2
  • 13–30 September 2026 (current): up to 60% off, extra 25% off 5, extra 20% off 3, extra 16% off 2

Three patterns stand out:

  • There's almost always a sale on. Since July there hasn't been a day without one. The 14 September gap we reported was a publishing delay, not a break in the sale.
  • Most sales start on the 1st, but not all. The current card started on the 13th, carrying straight on from the anniversary entry. 1 October is still the first date to check for the next one.
  • The terms get re-cut every time. The best tier has ranged from 15% (September 2025) to 31% (August 2026), and the basket it needs from two items to five. Don't assume October will match September.

An earlier version of this article said Max Mara ran a March 2026 sale. The mall's records don't support that, so it was removed.

Where to find Max Mara pieces at this mall

  • Max Mara, Suite 536, Middle Street, Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, KM13 Genting Highlands Resort, 69000 Genting Highlands, Pahang. Tel: +603 6436 8078. Open 10am–10pm daily. From the car park (levels B1–B8), take the escalator in the centre section up to Middle Street.
  • Melium Designer Outlet, Suite 526, Middle Street (tel: +603 6436 8070), a few doors down. It's a multi-brand designer outlet, and the mall names Max Mara among its labels. Its 13–30 September card is word-for-word the same as Max Mara's: up to 60%, then an extra 25%, 20% or 16% on 5, 3 or 2 items. It also has its own VIP 10%. If Suite 536 doesn't have your size, check Melium's rails before you leave. The card doesn't say whether one basket can mix items from both shops, and since they're separate stores, assume it can't.
  • Not at Johor Premium Outlets. JPO's store directory has neither Max Mara nor Melium, so Genting is the only Premium Outlets centre in Malaysia for this label.

Going in the last four days? Dates that matter

  • Today, Sunday 27 September: last day of the centre's Malaysia Day Specials weekend (10am–10pm). Next door, Kate Spade New York (Suite 534) has 60% off selected items today only, on top of its year-round VIP RM100 rebate on RM1,000.
  • Free train ride ticket with RM200 on one receipt: Premium Outlets Malaysia app members only, Fridays, weekends and public holidays. That means today is the last chance in this sale window.
  • Free cable car return ticket with RM200 on one receipt: Monday to Thursday, not on public holidays. That covers Monday 28, Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September, the last three days of the sale.
  • Premium Outlets x Genting Rewards runs to 31 December 2026. Earn 2GP in a day at participating stores for two Eufloria Gardens & Sculpture Park tickets, 3GP for a Skytropolis 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass, or 6GP for a Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard Ticket, redeemed in the RW Genting app. RW Genting's own FAQ puts the earn rate at 1GP per RM100, so a RM2,400 three-item basket earns enough for the SkyWorlds ticket. The mall doesn't list which stores take part, so ask before you pay.
  • Who should skip the bank offer: the Maybank redemption (RM50 voucher for RM1,000 spent over two receipts, until 31 December 2026) only accepts Maybank cards issued outside Malaysia. Malaysian-issued Maybank cards don't qualify.

Should you go now, or wait for October?

  • Go before 30 September if you're buying two or more pieces. Every tier on this card matches or beats the anniversary terms, and only July's and August's five-item tiers have gone deeper than this 25% all year.
  • Consider five instead of four if you're already buying four. The fifth piece may cost you about half its price. Check how the till treats four items first.
  • Wait if you want exactly one piece and aren't in a hurry. This card gives a single item nothing beyond the VIP 10%, and October's terms haven't been published. Check the mall's deals page on or just after 1 October. The next card may start later in the month, as this one did.

Fine print

  • "Selected items" isn't defined on any official page, and outlet stock changes from week to week. Check what's included in-store.
  • The card says "Terms & conditions apply" without printing them. How the tiers apply to a four-item basket, and whether they come off the rail price, are both unstated.
  • The VIP Shopper deal needs a free VIP Shopper account. Its terms don't say whether it combines with the Special Sale.
