> Quick view, re-checked Friday 2 October 2026: the Genting Rewards tie-up at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets did not end on 30 September. It was re-issued with the same tiers and now runs 9 September to 31 December 2026. Earn 6GP in one day for a Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard Ticket, 3GP for a Skytropolis 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass, 2GP for two Eufloria tickets. Genting Rewards pays 1GP per RM100, so those are RM600, RM300 and RM200 of same-day spending, and only at the 54 partner brands. All year, a single RM200 receipt also redeems a free cable car return (Monday to Thursday) or a free train ride (weekends and public holidays).

What changed on 30 September

The first listing, Premium Outlets x Genting Rewards, was dated 1 July to 30 September 2026. On the outlet's events feed it has been replaced by a new listing with the same name and the same three tiers, dated 9 September to 31 December 2026. Nothing else in the mechanics moved: you still redeem in the RW Genting mobile app, and the outlet's page still does not print the earn rate.

Three other things did change, and each one affects how you plan a trip:

  • The partner list is shorter than we first reported. Resorts World Genting's current GHPO merchant list (dated June 2026) has 54 brands, not 65. Converse, Vans, Geox and Guess are not on it.
  • The Awana SkyWay closes for maintenance 12 to 16 October 2026. That is the cable car the outlet's RM200 redemption is built around.
  • The National Day Specials are long over. The current tenant roundup is the October Weekend Specials, 2 to 4 October 2026 (details below).

The three tiers, in ringgit

The outlet's listing gives the tiers in GP. Resorts World Genting's Genting Rewards FAQ gives the conversion: 1GP for every RM100 spent at participating outlets, awarded only on cash, credit card or GeMCash, with the card presented at payment.

  • 6GP = RM600 in one day for one Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard Ticket
  • 3GP = RM300 in one day for one Skytropolis 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass
  • 2GP = RM200 in one day for two Eufloria Gardens & Sculpture Park tickets

The day is what binds. Receipts from several partner brands on the same day add up; receipts from two visits do not.

What each tier is actually worth to a MyKad holder

Every Resorts World Genting attraction runs a Malaysian and a non-Malaysian rate card. The RM198 figure you see quoted everywhere is the non-Malaysian walk-in price. These are the prices on the official pages on 2 October 2026:

  • Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard: Malaysian RM88 online (at least one day ahead) or RM168 walk-in. Child, senior and guests with disabilities pay RM38 online / RM65 walk-in. From 14 October to 15 November 2026 the same RM88/RM168 ticket also comes with a free snack and a bottle of mineral water. The park opens 10am to 6pm and closes every Tuesday except Malaysian public and school holidays.
  • Skytropolis 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass: Malaysian from RM70 online / RM90 walk-in, with no separate child price. The Pahang Citizens Rate is RM54 for MyKad state codes 06, 32 and 33.
  • Eufloria Gardens & Sculpture Park: Malaysian adult RM35, child/senior/OKU RM15 (introductory prices to 31 December 2026). Open 10am to 6pm, closed Wednesdays and Thursdays except public and school holidays.

Now the returns, measured against what an organised Malaysian would otherwise pay:

  • 2GP, two Eufloria tickets: RM200 of spending for RM70 of tickets, 35 sen back per ringgit
  • 3GP, Skytropolis pass: RM300 for a pass worth RM70 online or RM90 walk-in, 23 to 30 sen
  • 6GP, SkyWorlds ticket: RM600 for a ticket worth RM88 online or RM168 walk-in, 15 to 28 sen
  • RM200 receipt, cable car return: RM200 for a RM19 fare, 9.5 sen

The tier the headlines push, SkyWorlds, is the weakest for anyone who books a day ahead. The Eufloria pair is the best ratio and the lowest bar. A Pahang MyKad holder should ignore the Skytropolis tier entirely, since their ticket is already RM54.

Treat all of it as a rebate on shopping you were going to do anyway. Spending RM600 you did not plan to spend in order to get an RM88 ticket loses you RM512.

The RM200 receipt: cable car on weekdays, train on weekends

Two standing redemptions run 1 January to 31 December 2026, both claimed at the outlet's Information Center:

  • Cable car: spend RM200 in a single receipt for one cable car return ticket. Monday to Thursday only, not on public holidays. The cash fare for a standard gondola return is RM19.
  • Train ride: spend RM200 in a single receipt for one complimentary train ride ticket. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays only, and only for Premium Outlets Malaysia app members. Register before you go.

Between them they cover every day of the week, but never on the same day. The remaining public holidays in 2026 (Deepavali on Sunday 8 November, Christmas on Friday 25 December) are train days either way.

The October closure. Resorts World Genting will close the Awana SkyWay for maintenance from 12 to 16 October 2026. The Genting SkyWay stays open 7am to 11pm, and a free shuttle bus runs between Sky Sentral Bus Terminal and Gohtong Sentral every 15 to 20 minutes, 7am to 11.30pm. The outlet does not say whether its cable car voucher works on the Genting SkyWay while the Awana line is shut. If you were planning to use it on Monday 12 to Thursday 15 October, ask at the Information Center first. (The Genting SkyWay itself closes earlier, 5 to 9 October, while the Awana SkyWay keeps running.)

Don't spend GP on the cable car

Resorts World Genting's Awana SkyWay page lists a standard one-way gondola at RM11 or 9GP, and a one-way glass floor ride at RM29 online or 30GP. At 1GP per RM100, 9GP is RM900 of spending for an RM11 ride. The same 6GP gets a SkyWorlds ticket. Use the RM200 receipt for the cable car and keep the GP for the parks.

Member's Day does not add GP at the outlet

Genting Rewards Member's Day falls on the 18th of every month and on the double-digit dates. The remaining 2026 dates are Saturday 10 October, Sunday 18 October, Wednesday 11 November, Wednesday 18 November and Friday 18 December. It is easy to assume these days make 6GP easier. They don't. Resorts World Genting's own table puts "all Genting Rewards participating outlets at Resorts World Genting, Genting Highlands Premium Outlets & Johor Premium Outlets" in the shopping column, which earns 8X Tier Points only. The 5X Genting Points go to resort-owned F&B, the theme parks, Awana SkyWay and a few others. At the outlet, RM600 is still 6GP on a Member's Day.

The October Weekend Specials, and which of them earn GP

The outlet's current tenant roundup is the October Weekend Specials, 2 to 4 October 2026, 10am to 10pm, savings up to 65%. Many of the brand windows run longer than the weekend. Checked against the June 2026 partner list:

  • Max Mara: up to 60% off selected items, plus an extra 15% / 20% / 25% with 2 / 3 / 4 items, 1 to 22 October
  • Melium Designer Outlet: the same ladder as Max Mara, 1 to 22 October
  • Kate Spade New York: 60% off selected items, 2 to 4 October
  • Akemi Outlet: up to 80% storewide, plus an extra 15% with 2 or 30% with 3 selected items, 2 to 4 October
  • Puma: buy 2 selected items, get 2 selected items free, 1 to 31 October
  • Godiva: 3 selected items for RM99, selected items from RM199, gift with selected purchase, 1 October to 10 November
  • Tomei: up to RM1,000 off selected items, RM20 off selected items, gift with purchase, 16 September to 18 October

Not on the partner list: no GP, however much you spend

adidas Outlet Store (60% with 4 items, 50% with 2, 29 September to 5 October), Bally (extra 30% with 4 items, 20% with 2, 24 September to 7 October), Bath & Body Works (selected items RM30, 2 to 4 October), Hour Passion (50% off selected, 1 to 31 October), Lacoste Outlet (up to 50%, extra 20% with 2 or 30% with 5 items, to 31 December), Marc Jacobs (50% storewide, 60% with 2 items, 2 to 4 October), Renoma (up to 70%, 1 to 31 October) and Swarovski (gift with 2 selected items worth RM995, 1 to 15 October).

A worked example

GP is earned on what you pay, not on the tag. An Aigner bag tagged RM1,200 at 50% storewide costs RM600, which is 6GP and a SkyWorlds ticket on its own receipt. The same RM600 spent at Marc Jacobs earns nothing.

Fine print that trips people up

  • E-wallets earn nothing at the base rate. GP is awarded on cash, credit card or GeMCash only.
  • Show the card at the till. Points can't be added afterwards at the Information Center.
  • GP expires. Points are valid for two years, counted from the 28th of your birthday month. Earning at least 1GP before that date extends the balance.
  • Membership is 18+, free at any Guest Services counter, online or in the RWG app.
  • The Maybank programme is not for Malaysians. RM1,000 across two receipts gets an RM50 Premium Outlets voucher (20 April to 31 December 2026), but only on selected Maybank cards issued in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei.
  • Whether one RM200 receipt can feed both a ride redemption and GP is not stated on either page. Ask at the Information Center before you hand a receipt over.

Who this is good for, and who should skip it

Good for: families already planning a Genting day with both shopping and a park, anyone who will clear RM200 at partner brands without trying (the Eufloria pair is the easy win), weekday visitors who can use the free cable car, and Genting Rewards members whose idle balance is about to expire.

Skip it if: you pay by e-wallet and won't switch, you shop mainly at non-partner tenants such as adidas, Marc Jacobs, Bally or Lacoste, you hold a Pahang MyKad (Skytropolis is already RM54), or you'd have to inflate your spending to reach a tier.

Getting there

Genting Highlands Premium Outlets is at KM13, Genting Highlands Resorts, 69000 Genting Highlands, Pahang, mid-hill and about an hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur. It opens daily from 10am to 10pm. Its car park adjoins Sky Sentral, the Awana SkyWay's lower station, so on a normal day you can shop, redeem and ride up in one trip.
