> Quick view: five centre-level offers are running at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, and only the newest is a brand sale. Until 30 September 2026, six Genting Points earned in a single day at the outlet buys a Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard Ticket through the RW Genting app; three buys a Skytropolis Unlimited Ride Pass, two buys a pair of Eufloria tickets. Genting Rewards pays 1GP per RM100 spent, so read those as RM600, RM300 and RM200 of same-day shopping. Separately and all year, a single RM200 receipt redeems a free cable car return ticket Monday to Thursday, or a free train ride ticket on Friday to Sunday and public holidays. GP only accrues on cash, credit card or GeMCash, only at 65 participating brands, and only if the card is presented at the till.

The offer nobody at the outlet is advertising to you

Genting Highlands Premium Outlets sells itself on tenant sales, and there are plenty of those live right now — the mall's own deals board this week lists Special Sales at AAPE, Aigner, Akemi Outlet, ANTA, Bally, Braun Buffel, Clarks Outlet, Fila, Max Mara, Melium, New Balance, Puma, Renoma, Samsonite, Triumph, Universal Traveller and Wacoal, most of them running to 31 August. Those are the offers that get written up.

The ones that actually change the arithmetic of a Genting day trip sit one level up, on the outlet's Events page, and they are not tenant discounts at all. They are centre-level redemption programmes, and three of the four turn shopping receipts into transport and theme-park tickets.

The reason this matters is simple. A family driving up to Genting Highlands for the day is usually buying two things: some shopping, and some attraction tickets. The second purchase is the expensive one. A Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard Ticket is RM168 walk-in on the Malaysian rate, or RM88 if bought online at least one day in advance — the RM198 figure quoted almost everywhere is the non-Malaysian walk-in price. A Skytropolis 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass is RM90 walk-in for Malaysians, or from RM70 online. Eufloria Gardens & Sculpture Park is RM35 for a Malaysian adult. If the shopping you were going to do anyway can cover those, the day costs materially less.

Programme one: Premium Outlets x Genting Rewards, 1 July to 30 September 2026

This is the headline, and it is the one with an end date worth watching. The outlet's event listing states it plainly: collect GP when you shop at participating stores at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets and redeem rewards through the RW Genting Mobile App. The published tiers are:

  • Earn a total of 6GP in a day at GHPO for one Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard Ticket
  • Earn a total of 3GP in a day for one Skytropolis 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass
  • Earn a total of 2GP in a day for two Eufloria Gardens & Sculpture Park tickets

To turn that into ringgit you need the earn rate, which the outlet's page does not carry but Resorts World Genting's own Genting Rewards FAQ does: you earn 1GP for every RM100 spent at participating outlets. So the tiers are RM600, RM300 and RM200 of qualifying spend, accumulated within one day.

What each tier is actually worth

This is where most write-ups go wrong, and it is worth being careful. Genting SkyWorlds publishes two rate cards, and the difference between them is large. The often-quoted RM198 is the non-Malaysian walk-in price. If you hold a MyKad, the rates that apply to you are RM168 walk-in (which includes an RM10 F&B or retail e-voucher) and RM88 booked online at least a day ahead, flagged on the official Malaysian rate page as "SAVE RM80". Child, senior and guest-with-disabilities tickets are RM65 either way.

That single fact re-ranks the whole programme for a Malaysian reader. Run the three tiers against the price *you* would actually have paid:

  • RM600 for a Genting SkyWorlds ticket. Against the Malaysian walk-in rate of RM168, that is 28 sen back per ringgit spent. But against the RM88 Malaysian online advance rate — the price you would have paid if you had planned ahead by one day — it is under 15 sen. This is the tier the headlines push and, for an organised Malaysian, it is the weakest of the three.
  • RM300 for a Skytropolis 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass. The Malaysian rates are RM90 walk-in and from RM70 online, so 30 sen or 23 sen back per ringgit. Note there is no child price at Skytropolis — the official page states ticket prices are the same for adults and children.
  • RM200 for two Eufloria Gardens & Sculpture Park tickets. Two Malaysian adult tickets at RM35 each is RM70, or 35 sen back per ringgit — the best ratio of the three, and the lowest bar to clear. Eufloria's Malaysian child (3-12), senior (60+) and disabled rate is RM15; the non-Malaysian rates are RM45 and RM25. These are introductory prices, stated as valid 30 April to 31 December 2026.

There is one important local exception. Skytropolis publishes a Pahang Citizens Rate of RM54 against the RM90 normal price, open to holders of a Malaysian identity card with state codes 06, 32 or 33. If you qualify for that, the Skytropolis tier drops to 18 sen back per ringgit and stops being worth chasing.

One scheduling trap sits under the best-value tier: Eufloria closes every Wednesday and Thursday, except on Malaysian public holidays and school holidays, and runs 10am to 6pm — five hours short of the outlet's 10pm closing. Redeeming 2GP on a Wednesday means holding tickets you cannot use that day. It also sells a combined entry-plus-cable-car-return ticket from RM47 for Malaysian adults, which is worth checking against doing the two separately.

The honest summary: treat all of this as a rebate on shopping you were going to do anyway, not as a way to buy theme-park tickets. Nobody should spend RM600 at an outlet mall to obtain a ticket they could book online for RM88.

Programme two and three: the RM200 receipt, and the day of the week

Underneath the campaign sit two standing redemptions that run 1 January to 31 December 2026 and that most shoppers never claim because they are only mentioned on the Events page and at the Information Center.

Cable car. Spend RM200 in a single receipt to redeem one Genting Highlands Premium Outlets cable car return ticket. Valid Monday to Thursday, and not inclusive of public holidays. For reference, Resorts World Genting's published Awana SkyWay fare for a standard gondola is RM11 one-way and RM19 return, so this is roughly a RM19 perk on a RM200 receipt.

Train ride. Spend RM200 in a single receipt to redeem one complimentary train ride ticket — but this one is exclusively for Premium Outlets Malaysia mobile app members, and it is only available on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

Read together, the two cover the whole week between them, which is the useful part: whichever day you turn up, a RM200 receipt is worth something. What they do not do is overlap, so there is no day on which you can claim both.

The trap: do not spend GP on the cable car

This is the part worth knowing before you stand at a kiosk. Resorts World Genting's Awana SkyWay fare page lists a Genting Rewards redemption price of 9GP for a one-way standard gondola ride and 30GP for a one-way glass floor ride, available at self-service ticketing kiosks and ticketing counters.

At 1GP per RM100, 9GP is RM900 of spending exchanged for a ride that costs RM11 in cash. Thirty GP is RM3,000 of spending for a glass floor ride that costs RM32, or RM29 online. Against 6GP for a theme-park ticket worth RM88 to RM168 on the Malaysian rate, the cable car is still by far the worst place to burn points. If you want the cable car, use the RM200 receipt redemption and keep the GP.

Programme four: the Maybank voucher that is not for Malaysians

The fourth listing, running 20 April to 31 December 2026, offers a RM50 Premium Outlets gift voucher for RM1,000 spent across two receipts on a Maybank card. The qualifier is the whole story: the outlet's own listing states it is valid for selected Maybank cards issued in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei.

A Malaysian-issued Maybank card does not qualify. This is a cross-border tourist offer, aimed at the Singaporean and Indonesian visitors who make up a large share of Genting's shopping traffic, and Malaysian readers should mentally cross it off rather than queue for it.

Programme five: the National Day Specials, 28 to 30 August 2026

This one went up on the outlet's events page after everything above, and it is the piece that makes the GP thresholds realistic. Genting Highlands Premium Outlets National Day Specials run 28 to 30 August 2026, 10am to 10pm, with headline savings up to 65%. Unlike the four programmes above, this one *is* a tenant-sale roundup — and the outlet names sixteen of them:

  • Kate Spade New York — up to 69% off selected items, 28 to 30 August
  • TUMI — 20% off storewide with purchase of 2 selected items, 28 to 31 August
  • Braun Buffel — RM80 rebate with purchase of RM600, 28 August to 6 September
  • Nike Factory Store — 50% off storewide with purchase of 2 selected items, 16 to 31 August
  • Puma — 70% off with purchase of 3 selected items, 21 to 31 August
  • Sunglass Hut Outlet — RM200 rebate on selected items worth RM1,000, or RM120 rebate on RM600, 24 August to 20 September
  • b.space Outlet — up to 70% off, plus a further 20% off with 3 items or 10% with 2, 1 to 31 August
  • Bally — an extra 30% off with 4 selected items, or 20% with 2, 7 to 30 August
  • Maison Kitsune — up to 50% off, 22 to 31 August
  • The Cosmetics Company Store — up to 50% off selected items, 21 to 31 August
  • Triumph — up to 70% off selected items, and selected items at RM50, 1 to 31 August
  • Universal Traveller Outlet — 2 selected items for RM699, 1 to 31 August
  • Poney Outlet — selected items at RM29, 19 to 31 August
  • Focus Point Outlet — selected items from RM30, 3 August to 16 September
  • Beauty Scents — selected items from RM99, 7 to 31 August
  • City Chain — additional in-store savings, 1 to 31 August

Every one of these carries the standard "terms and conditions apply" line, and note how many of the windows are wider than the National Day banner itself — Nike, Puma, Triumph and b.space all run to 31 August, and Sunglass Hut and Focus Point run deep into September.

Two timing points are worth planning around. First, 28 to 30 August 2026 is a Friday, Saturday and Sunday — precisely the window for the free train ride redemption, and precisely *outside* the Monday-to-Thursday window for the free cable car. If the cable car was the plan, this is the wrong weekend for it. Second, several of these sales are the practical route to the GP thresholds: a Sunglass Hut purchase at the RM1,000 tier, or Universal Traveller's RM699 pair, clears 6GP and 3GP respectively on a single receipt — provided the brand sits on the 65-name Genting Rewards partner list and you pay by cash, credit card or GeMCash.

Fine print that trips people up

  • E-wallets earn nothing. Genting Rewards states GP is awarded only for payments made via cash, credit card, or GeMCash. Tapping an e-wallet at the till is the most common way to end a RM600 day with zero GP.
  • The card must be presented at the time of purchase. Not at the Information Center afterwards, not with the receipt the next morning.
  • Only 65 brands participate. Resorts World Genting publishes the Genting Rewards partner list for GHPO, and it runs to 65 names across fashion, shoes, leather, jewellery, children and F&B — Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Polo Ralph Lauren, Furla, Longchamp, Tumi, Victoria's Secret, Guess, Converse, Vans, Geox, Hush Puppies, Bonia, Carlo Rino, Tomei, Focus Point, Godiva, Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Burger King, The Chicken Rice Shop and OLDTOWN among them. It is a long list, but it is not every tenant.
  • GP expires. Genting Rewards points are valid for two years, calculated from the 28th of your birthday month each year, and the way to extend the balance is to earn at least 1GP before that date.
  • Membership is 18+. You can sign up at any Guest Services counter at the resort, online, or through the RWG mobile app.
  • Everything is processed at the Information Center, and every listing carries the standard line that terms and conditions apply. Confirm at the counter before you commit to a spend threshold.

Who this is good for, and who should skip it

Good for: anyone already planning a Genting day that includes both shopping and a theme park, families who will clear RM200 on lunch and one or two purchases without trying, and midweek visitors who can use the Monday-to-Thursday cable car redemption. Also good for Genting Rewards members sitting on an idle GP balance who were about to let it expire.

Skip it if: you pay for everything by e-wallet and will not switch, you are a Pahang identity card holder whose Skytropolis ticket is already RM54, you are shopping only at non-participating tenants, or you would have to inflate your spending to reach a tier. Buying RM600 of things you did not want in order to save RM88 is not a saving.

Getting there and the practical bits

Genting Highlands Premium Outlets is at KM13, Genting Highlands Resorts, 69000 Genting Highlands, Pahang, roughly an hour from Kuala Lumpur by car and sitting at the lower end of the resort rather than at the peak. Opening hours are Monday to Sunday, 10am to 10pm. The outlet is directly connected to the Awana SkyWay, which is what makes the cable car redemption practical rather than theoretical — you can shop, redeem and ride up in the same trip.

Two dates to plan around: Merdeka Day falls on Monday 31 August 2026 and Malaysia Day on Wednesday 16 September 2026. Both are weekdays, so instinct says the cable car redemption applies — but both are public holidays, which the cable car redemption explicitly excludes. On those two days it is the train ride redemption that is live.

Full terms, the current deals board and all five event listings are on Genting Highlands Premium Outlets' official events page. All figures above were read from the outlet's own event listings, Resorts World Genting's Genting Rewards FAQ and partner list, and the official Genting SkyWorlds Malaysian-rate and standard-rate ticket pages, the Skytropolis ticket page and the Eufloria ticket page, and were re-checked on 26 August 2026, when the National Day Specials listing was added and the SkyWorlds Malaysian rate was corrected. Terms can change without notice.
