From 20 October to 20 November 2026 it is running a reopening promotion with spend-based gifts from RM30, a spin-and-win, a lucky draw, brand-specific gifts, RM20 off MegaLive products and free health checks.

Mega Kulim is the Kedah pharmacy chain that started in Kulim in 1989 and now has more than 50 branches across the north. On 19 October it told Taman Sejati regulars on Instagram that the branch had moved ("Kami dah berpindah!") and posted a 16-slide carousel of opening offers. This is not a chain-wide sale. Everything below applies only at the new Taman Sejati shop, which makes it worth knowing for Sungai Petani households and less useful for anyone else.

The new shop, in short

If your maps app still shows the old Taman Sejati address, ignore it. The pharmacy's post links to a new Google Maps pin for the new premises.

How it works, step by step

  1. Plan one receipt. Every spend threshold on the posters is marked "dalam satu resit" (in one receipt). Two RM60 visits don't add up to the RM100 gift.
  2. Go early if you want the Appeton gift. Spend RM30 or more and you get a box of Appeton Activ-C Orange 60s chewable vitamin C, but only the first 50 customers each day qualify.
  3. Spin the wheel at RM50. A RM50 receipt gets you a turn on the "Putar & Menang" wheel. The prizes on the wheel aren't listed.
  4. Hit RM100 for the bigger perks. RM100 or more in one receipt gets you a lucky draw entry and a HANAKO trial pack. The draw prizes shown on the poster include a body-composition scale, a non-stick pan with detachable handle, a set of glass food containers, a backpack and a cordless vacuum.
  5. Go higher for the bag or umbrella. RM150 gets you a duffle bag and RM250 an exclusive folding umbrella. Both come in a mystery box, so you can't choose the colour.
  6. Check the brand deals if you already buy those brands (below).
  7. Follow the shop online. Like and follow Mega Kulim's Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Xiaohongshu at the counter for a free gift. This one is marked as only for the Taman Sejati opening.

Brand-specific offers

These need you to spend on one brand, not the whole basket:

  • Ensure or Glucerna Gold (800g): spend RM180 or more on these and get a free RM15 Touch 'n Go eWallet reload PIN. That works out to about 8.3% back if you spend exactly RM180.
  • MegaLive (Mega Kulim's own supplement line): scan and redeem a RM20 rebate voucher in the MegaLive Buddy app on a RM280 or bigger spend on MegaLive products. You get up to two vouchers per app user, so a big stock-up can save RM40 across two qualifying receipts. On exactly RM280, RM20 is about 7.1% off.
  • MK Nutramix: buy two tins and get a free thermal tumbler (design picked at random).
  • Scott's: spend RM38 on Scott's products for a Scotty Heroes mystery box.
  • Ebene supports: spend RM160 on Ebene knee, wrist or compression supports for a RM6 rebate. At under 4%, it's only worth it if you were already buying a brace.

Free health checks

A free health-check corner runs 9am to 6pm. The poster lists six checks: glucose test, body composition analysis, hand grip strength, a "quantum" test, a skin test and a blood pressure test. The glucose test has its own limits: it runs only from 20 to 31 October 2026 and is capped at the first 30 customers each day. The poster doesn't say whether the other checks run for the full month, so call 04-430 4268 before a special trip.

A glucose and blood pressure reading is a useful quick check for older relatives. It doesn't replace a clinic test, so take any odd number to your doctor.

Worked examples

The monthly top-up. You buy RM105 of household health items (plasters, a cough syrup, vitamins) in one receipt. That clears RM30, RM50 and RM100, so you're in line for the lucky draw, the HANAKO trial pack and a spin. If you're one of the first 50 that day, you may also qualify for the Appeton box. Ask at the counter whether one receipt can claim every tier, since the posters don't say.

Milk for a diabetic parent. If your parent drinks Glucerna, buying RM180 of Glucerna Gold 800g gets you the RM15 Touch 'n Go PIN. Because the same receipt is also over RM150, you may be able to claim the duffle bag too. Check prices on the shelf first, since the poster prints none.

A MegaLive stock-up. Two separate RM280 receipts of MegaLive supplements use both of your Buddy app vouchers: RM560 spent, RM40 back. Buying one RM560 receipt instead gets you only one RM20 voucher, so splitting is better here. That is the one case where two receipts beat one.

Who it's for, and who can skip it

Worth the trip: Taman Sejati and central Sungai Petani residents who already use this branch, families buying milk powder or nutrition drinks for older relatives, and anyone who wants a free glucose or blood pressure reading before the end of October.

Skip it: anyone who would have to drive in from Kulim, Alor Setar or Penang for the gifts alone. The free items are small (a trial pack, a bag, an umbrella) and won't cover the petrol. Also skip it if you'd be buying things just to reach a tier.

Fine print that trips people up

  • One receipt for every threshold. Split baskets don't combine.
  • While stocks last on all gifts, and the colour of the bag and umbrella is a mystery box.
  • Daily caps: Appeton for the first 50 customers, glucose test for the first 30.
  • MegaLive voucher needs the MegaLive Buddy app and is capped at two per user.
  • Stacking isn't stated. The posters list each perk separately and don't say one receipt can claim several. Ask before you pay.
