> Quick view: OPPO Malaysia's Merdeka campaign closed on 16 September 2026, and the Reno16 rebates went with it. Read off OPPO's own store on 17 September 2026, every Reno16 model is back at its full RRP: RM1,899 for the Eco Edition, RM2,299 for the Reno16 F 5G, RM2,699 to RM3,499 for the Reno16 5G and RM3,699 for the Pro. The only Reno phones discounted this week are the older Reno14 models, in OPPO's Members' Day flash sale, which ends at 11:59pm on 18 September.

What happened on 16 September

This article has tracked the Reno16 line since its July launch. First came the Reno16 Series "First Sales Month" bundle at OPPO's Ipoh Parade store (25 July to 16 August). Then OPPO Malaysia's national Merdeka campaign ran from 17 August to 16 September. By 6 September the Merdeka rebate on the Reno16 5G had quietly widened from the announced RM200 to up to RM500.

That rebate has now ended. On 17 September the Reno16 product pages on oppo.com/my show RRP prices, and the "Enjoy up to RM500 Instant Rebate" and "Enjoy Instant RM200 Rebate" lines no longer appear on the rendered pages. The free RM119 limited-edition magnetic case that sat in the Reno16 5G and Pro checkouts is gone too. What survives are the standing offers: trade-in, the Education Program, reward points, 0% instalments, and one voucher code on the Eco Edition page.

Reno16 Series prices on OPPO's own store, 17 September 2026

Cheapest first, with the Merdeka price this article carried on 6 September:

  • Reno16 F 5G Eco Edition, 8GB + 128GB: RM1,899. Was RM1,699. The page still prints voucher code RENO16FECO100OFF for RM100 off, which would bring it to RM1,799.
  • Reno16 F 5G, 8GB + 256GB: RM2,299. Was RM1,999.
  • Reno16 F 5G, 8GB + 128GB: listed but out of stock. No price is shown and the button is disabled.
  • Reno16 5G, 8GB + 256GB: RM2,699. Was RM2,399.
  • Reno16 5G, 12GB + 256GB: RM2,999. Was RM2,599.
  • Reno16 5G, 12GB + 512GB: RM3,499. Was RM2,999, so this one rose the most (RM500).
  • Reno16 Pro 5G, 12GB + 256GB: RM3,699. Unchanged. It never carried a rebate.

In short, anyone who bought between 6 and 16 September paid RM200 to RM500 less than today's buyer. If you missed that window, there is no official announcement of when the next rebate on this line will come.

Members' Day, 16–18 September: what it does and doesn't cover

OPPO's September Members' Day page (open until 11:59pm on 18 September 2026) is the successor campaign. But it does not cut Reno16 prices. The Reno16 models are listed in its "Double Reward Points!" shelf at their normal RRP ("From RM1,899" for the Eco Edition up to "From RM3,699" for the Pro). OPPO does not publish on that page how many points a purchase earns, so treat double points as a small bonus, not a discount.

The one Reno16 figure on that page that doesn't match is the Reno16 F 5G card, which reads "From RM1,999". That is the out-of-stock 8GB+128GB configuration. The only version you can actually buy is the 8GB+256GB at RM2,299.

The actual price cuts on the Members' Day page are on older or non-phone products:

  • Reno14 Pro 5G: from RM1,999, against RM2,999 (save up to RM1,000).
  • Reno14 5G: from RM1,499, against RM2,199 (save up to RM700).
  • OPPO Pad 3 Matte Display Edition: from RM1,599, against RM1,999.
  • A 10% voucher on selected IoT products and accessories, claimed on the page, plus a spin-the-wheel draw for reward points and small prizes.

The same page also lists the Reno15 Pro 5G at RM3,299, the Reno15 5G at RM1,999 and the Reno15 F 5G at RM1,799, without a crossed-out price, so those are not marked as Members' Day cuts.

The Eco Edition and the charger question, with Members' Day prices

The Reno16 F 5G Eco Edition is the same phone as the standard 8GB+128GB Reno16 F 5G, sold without a power adapter in the box. OPPO's own product FAQ says that is the only difference. Now that the 128GB standard version is out of stock, the Eco Edition is the only 128GB Reno16 you can order from OPPO directly.

Members' Day happens to discount OPPO's own chargers: the SUPERVOOC 45W Power Adapter is RM89 (normally RM99) and the SUPERVOOC 80W Power Adapter is RM125 (normally RM139), both to 18 September. Check the charging wattage the phone supports before you buy either one.

Worked examples at today's prices

Cheapest way into the Reno16. Eco Edition RM1,899, minus the RM100 voucher code printed on its page, is RM1,799. Add the 45W adapter at its Members' Day price of RM89 and you are at RM1,888. That is still RM411 less than the Reno16 F 5G 8GB+256GB at RM2,299, for half the storage. If you already own a USB-C fast charger, the gap is RM500.

The mid-tier phone with a trade-in. Reno16 5G 12GB+256GB is RM2,999. A trade-in valued at, say, RM600 brings the out-of-pocket figure to about RM2,399, which is exactly what the phone cost *without* any trade-in on 6 September. On OPPO's 24-month 0% plan the RM2,999 list price works out at about RM125 a month. The "up to RM1,350" trade-in ceiling applies only to a recent premium phone in good condition.

Is an older Reno the better buy this week? The Reno14 5G from RM1,499 is RM400 below the Eco Edition. The Reno14 Pro 5G from RM1,999 is RM700 below the Reno16 5G's cheapest configuration. We haven't compared their specifications here, so check the specs on OPPO's page before you decide. And note the prices are "from" figures that end with the flash sale on 18 September.

The standing offers that are still on the Reno16 pages

These appear on the Reno16 product pages year-round and did not end with the Merdeka campaign:

  • Trade-in, up to RM1,350 on the Reno16 Pro, Reno16 and Reno16 F. The real value depends on the device you hand over. OPPO's trade-in widget also shows a "save up to RM5,000" figure; that is the ceiling across every OPPO device, not a Reno16 number. The Eco Edition page carries no trade-in line.
  • An extra RM100 off through the Education Program, verified online before checkout. OPPO does not say whether it stacks with the Eco Edition voucher code, so ask before counting both.
  • OPPO Reward Points, quoted on the Eco Edition page as saving up to 5%.
  • 0% instalments: the product pages quote RM79 a month for the Eco Edition, RM112 for the cheapest Reno16 5G and RM154 for the Pro.

Buying one in Ipoh

The OPPO store at Ipoh Parade is on the Second Floor, Lot S11 & S12, at 105 Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil, Greentown, 30450 Ipoh, Perak. Phone 05-242 8818 or 010-374 4059. Ipoh Parade opens 10am–10pm daily. We re-checked the mall's store directory on 17 September 2026, and the lot, both phone numbers and the hours are still listed.

Go in person if you want a trade-in valued on the spot, and ask the store whether it matches oppo.com/my before you pay.

Who should buy now, and who should wait

Buy now if you need a phone this week and want a Reno14. The Members' Day prices end at 11:59pm on 18 September.

Buy now if you want the cheapest Reno16 and already own a USB-C charger: the Eco Edition with its voucher code comes to RM1,799.

Wait if you want a Reno16 5G or Reno16 F 5G and can hold off. Both sold for RM300 to RM500 less as recently as 16 September. OPPO has not announced another rebate, but the line has now had two promotions in its first two months on sale.

Skip the Reno16 Pro 5G if price is your main reason. It has stayed at RM3,699 through the launch bundle, Merdeka and Members' Day.

Fine print

  • Every price on this page was read off OPPO Malaysia's own online store on 17 September 2026. Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop listings can differ.
  • The Merdeka campaign (17 August to 16 September 2026) and the July Ipoh Parade bundle (25 July to 16 August 2026) have both ended. The Gaabor appliance, gift box, rebates and free magnetic case are not available now.
  • The Members' Day flash-sale prices are shown as "from" prices and end at 11:59pm on 18 September 2026.
  • No expiry is published for voucher code RENO16FECO100OFF. It is still printed on the Eco Edition page, but whether it applies is confirmed only at checkout.
  • The Eco Edition ships without a power adapter, per OPPO's own product FAQ.
  • The Education Program needs online eligibility verification before you buy.
