> Quick view: The Store Group's 58th Anniversary Shop & Win closes to entries on 16 September 2026 after nearly four months. RM50 in a single receipt at The Store, Pacific, Pacific Grocer, Market Place, TS Concept Store or Super Jimat gets you one entry, and the official terms are explicit that it is one entry per receipt regardless of how much that receipt is for. Seventy-two prizes are named, headed by a Proton e.MAS 5. Separately, qualifying receipts print an instant cash voucher worth between RM2 and RM100, and those expire on 30 September. If you shop at Pacific rather than The Store, this is a genuinely out-of-town deal: all ten Pacific outlets sit in Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Johor.
Ten stores, seven states, none in the Klang Valley
Most national campaigns we cover are Klang Valley campaigns wearing a national badge. This one is the opposite, at least on the Pacific side of it.
Pacific's own store list, published on pacificgrocer-dept.com.my, names ten outlets and no more:
- Pacific Alor Star, Alor Star Mall, Kawasan Perusahaan Tandop Baru, 05400 Alor Setar, Kedah
- Pacific Alor Setar, Kompleks Star Parade, Jalan Teluk Wanjah, 05200 Alor Setar, Kedah
- Pacific Prai, Megamal Pinang, Jalan Baru Bandar Perai Jaya, 13600 Seberang Perai Tengah, Penang
- Pacific Komtar, Concourse 1.01 to 4.01, Komtar, 10000 George Town, Penang
- Pacific Taiping, Pacific Taiping Mall, Jalan Tupai, 34000 Taiping, Perak
- Pacific Kota Bharu, KB Mall, Jalan Hamzah, 15050 Kota Bharu, Kelantan
- Pacific KTCC, KTCC Mall, Muara Selatan, 20000 Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu
- Pacific Mentakab, Mentakab Star City, Lorong Bendahara 1, 28400 Mentakab, Pahang
- Pacific Batu Pahat, Batu Pahat Mall, Jalan Kluang, 83000 Batu Pahat, Johor
- Pacific Kluang, Kluang Mall, Jalan Rambutan, 86000 Kluang, Johor
Seven states, ten stores, and not a single one in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor or Putrajaya. The back page of Pacific's September mailer prints the same ten as its participating-outlet list, which is a useful cross-check: brands often circulate a shorter list on the flyer than the locator suggests, and here the two agree exactly.
All ten open 10am to 10pm, seven days a week, on Pacific's own listing. The sister banners in the same group do reach the Klang Valley (The Store has outlets in Ampang, Klang, Setapak, Pandan Indah, Pudu, Sri Petaling and Sungai Buloh among others), so a KL reader is not shut out of the contest. They are just shut out of Pacific.
How the contest works, step by step
The mechanics come from the organiser's own contest site, which is where the QR code on every poster points.
- Shop at a participating outlet and spend at least RM50.00 in a single receipt. The named banners are The Store, Pacific, Pacific Grocer, Market Place by The Store, TS Concept Store and Super Jimat. Tenanted counters inside those stores are specifically excluded, so a purchase from a leased-in concession is not going to qualify.
- Scan the QR code on the campaign poster, which loads the online contest form.
- Complete the form and upload a photo of the receipt. That upload is what registers you for the main prize draw.
- Submit on or before 16 September 2026. The terms state plainly that entries received after that date will not be accepted.
The contest opened on 22 May 2026, so it has been live for close to four months. The entry site is still accepting submissions as at 9 September 2026.
The single line that should change how you shop
Buried in the middle of the terms is the sentence that decides the whole strategy:
> Each purchase receipt is entitled to one (1) entry only, regardless of the total purchase amount.
That is the opposite of how most Malaysian spend-and-win contests work, and it is the opposite of what the poster implies. A RM50 receipt and a RM500 receipt each buy exactly one entry. If you were planning a single large shop at Pacific this weekend to maximise your odds, you would be doing precisely the wrong thing.
Worked example. Say you have RM300 of groceries to buy before 16 September. Put it through as one transaction and you get one entry. Split it across six visits at roughly RM50 each and you get six entries, at no extra cost. Six entries is six times the odds for the same money and the same trolley. The only friction is the form, which you have to fill in and attach a receipt photo to once per receipt.
There is a ceiling on the upside, though. Each participant may win one prize only across the whole contest period for the grand prizes, so stacking entries improves your chance of winning something, not your chance of winning twice.
What 72 winners are actually playing for
The advertised prize pool is RM500,000. The named prizes are:
- Grand Prize: Proton e.MAS 5 (CBU), 1 unit
- First Prize: Proton Saga 1.5 Standard, 1 unit
- Second Prize: Modenas Kriss 110cc, 5 units
- Special Prize: Samsung Refrigerator Digital Inverter Tech 234L (RT-22FARADSA), 5 units
- Monthly Prize: RM250 gift voucher, 60 winners
That is 12 physical prizes plus 60 vouchers, and the terms confirm the total: seventy-two winners.
The monthly prizes work differently from the rest. Twenty winners are drawn every month, sixty in total across three months, and those draws are conducted live on the organiser's official Facebook and TikTok rather than announced after the fact. The main prizes are drawn by computerised random draw only after the contest period closes.
If you are named a finalist, expect a phone call. The organiser will attempt to reach each finalist a maximum of three times, and if it cannot get through because there is no answer or the number is wrong, it moves on to the next eligible participant. Put a number you actually answer on the form.
The two catches the poster does not print
You pay the running costs on the car. The terms state that winners bear all applicable costs and charges related to the prizes, including registration fees, insurance, road tax and any other applicable taxes or costs. A Proton e.MAS 5 arrives as a prize, not as a fully sorted car. Budget for road tax and a first year of insurance before you celebrate.
You must turn up in person. Every winner is required to attend the prize presentation ceremony to collect, transport and related expenses are borne by the winner, representation by an agent or third party is not allowed, and failure to attend results in automatic forfeiture without prior notice. The venue and date have not been announced. For a contest whose Pacific footprint is spread from Alor Setar to Kluang, that is a real cost and a real risk worth pricing in before you enter.
Two smaller notes for completeness. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and not exchangeable for cash, and the organiser reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of similar value. Also, the English and Bahasa Melayu versions of the terms do not say the same thing about who may enter: the English text limits the contest to Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above, while the Bahasa Melayu text says only customers aged 18 and above. The terms themselves state that where the versions differ, the English version prevails.
The instant cash voucher, and the date that kills it
This is the part most shoppers will actually collect, and it is not a draw at all.
A qualifying receipt prints a cash voucher value at the bottom: RM2, RM5, RM10, RM20, RM50 or RM100. There is no form and no waiting. You hand it back at a cashier counter on your next purchase, either the same day or any time before it expires, at any participating outlet nationwide.
The deadline is the trap. All cash vouchers are valid until 30 September 2026, which is a fortnight after the contest itself closes. The sample voucher printed on Pacific's own poster spells it out in Bahasa Melayu: sila gunakan sebelum atau pada 30 September 2026. If you are holding one of these in a wallet, it is worth nothing after that date, and it is worth nothing at all unless you go back and buy something else.
What is actually on the shelves this month
The contest gives you a reason to spend RM50. The mailer tells you what RM50 buys.
Pacific Grocer is running a nine-page mailer under the government's Kempen Beli Barangan Malaysia banner, valid 1 to 30 September 2026 across all ten outlets, free in store and published in full on Pacific's own site. Prices we read off it directly:
- Suji's Cili Kisar A1 500g, RM3.39
- Marigold HL Milk 946ml, RM7.99 (the second variant is RM8.49)
- Snowman ice cream 1.5L, RM7.99
- Fanta PET 1.5L, RM2.89
- Kami Steamboat Selection 500g, RM12.69
- Ayam Bismi Crispy Fried Chicken 850g, RM20.99
- MegaFresh French Fries 1kg, RM11.99
- Mamee Chef instant soup noodle 4s, RM4.99
- Ghee Hiang sesame oil 680ml red, RM32.69
- Fiffy baby wipes 100s x 2, RM10.90; Fiffy infant suit set, RM13.00
- OKBB 3-in-1 bedding set, RM23.90
Two lines in there repay a second look. The MegaFresh Frankfurter Ayam 300g is priced at buy two for RM7.99 or buy one at RM4.49, so the bundle saves you 99 sen against buying two singles, which is a genuine but modest 11 per cent. The Apollo Layer Cake, meanwhile, is a small lesson in unit pricing: the 8-piece 25g box is RM5.29, which is 66 sen a piece, while the 24-piece 18g box is RM8.99, which is 37 sen a piece. The bigger box is cheaper per piece and cheaper per kilogram, and it is the one nobody picks up.
The mailer carries the usual retailer hedge in small print: all prices in Ringgit Malaysia, selected outlets, brands and items only, and Pacific reserves the right to limit quantities per customer.
The Pacific Card, and what its points are really worth
If you are going to shop here six times before 16 September anyway, the loyalty card is the other question worth answering, and Pacific publishes enough on its own site to answer it properly.
The Pacific Classic Card costs RM12.70 as a one-off processing fee at a customer service counter. It carries free personal accident insurance up to RM10,000 for death and permanent disablement, 24 hours worldwide, a free supplementary card, and it earns 1 reward point for every RM1.00 spent.
Now the redemption table, which Pacific publishes as a standing offer rather than a campaign: 1,000 points for an RM5 gift voucher, 2,000 points for RM10, and 10,000 points for RM50. Every tier is the same rate, 200 points per RM1 of voucher. Since you earn one point per ringgit, the points programme returns RM1 for every RM200 you spend, or 0.5 per cent. To redeem the RM50 voucher you have to have spent RM10,000.
That is a thin rate by Malaysian supermarket standards, and it means the card is worth carrying for the RM10,000 accident cover and the member-price items rather than for the points. It also puts the contest in perspective: RM50 in a single receipt buys you a lottery ticket for a car, while RM50 of loyalty points is worth 25 sen.
Who this is for, and who should skip it
Worth doing if you already shop at one of these ten Pacific stores or at a The Store outlet, and you have grocery spending to do before 16 September anyway. The entry is free, the cash voucher on the receipt is real money, and splitting your shop into RM50 receipts costs you nothing but a few minutes on a form.
Not worth a special trip. The odds on 12 physical prizes across a group with dozens of outlets and four months of receipts are not knowable, and the cost of collection is on you: personal attendance at an unannounced venue, your own transport, and road tax and insurance on a car you have not budgeted for.
Skip entirely if you are shopping in the Klang Valley and were hoping to visit a Pacific. There is no Pacific in KL or Selangor. Use a The Store outlet instead, or let this one go.
Fine print, and one thing Pacific's own site gets wrong
Open to Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above under the prevailing English text, employees of the organiser and their immediate family excluded. Entries must be complete and legible or they can be rejected without notice. All decisions of the organiser are final. Personal data submitted is used for marketing under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
One caution about the website itself. Pacific's Members Special page is stale, and badly so. On 9 September 2026 it was still displaying four posters, and every single one had expired: an Extra 100 Reward Points offer dated 30 July to 19 August 2026, an Apply or Renew for 580 points offer dated 22 May to 14 June 2026, and an Extra 100 Reward Points Monday-to-Thursday offer dated 11 September to 1 October 2025, a full year out of date. The Weekend Sale poster on the promotions page was dated 3 to 6 September 2026 and had also finished. Do not read a poster on that site as proof an offer is live. The mailer, which carries its own validity dates and a KDN permit number on the cover, and the contest terms on the entry site are the two documents worth trusting.
