Read the "Buy 2 at" lines carefully, skip the cooking oil carton, and pick the 0% instalment plan if you are buying the TV or washer.

AEON BiG has published a six-page catalogue for its Kepong hypermarket under the banner "Ulang Tahun ke-20, Setia Bersama, Jimat Maksima". It sits on AEON BiG's own promotion page alongside separate 21-27 September catalogues for AEON BiG Batu Pahat and AEON BiG Bukit Minyak, the two other stores sharing the anniversary. This article covers the Kepong catalogue only. The other two stores print their own lists, so do not assume the same prices apply there.

One useful piece of context: AEON's big 42nd anniversary Spend & Win this month does not include AEON BiG at all. AEON BiG is run by a separate company, AEON BiG (M) Sdn Bhd, so this Kepong week is the anniversary deal that actually applies if BiG is where you shop.

How it works

  1. Go to AEON BiG Kepong between 21 and 27 September 2026. These are in-store prices; nothing needs to be clipped or activated.
  2. Prices marked "each" are per unit. Prices marked "Buy 2 at" or "Buy 4 at" are bundle prices, and a single unit rings up at the normal price (NP) shown on the tag.
  3. Fresh items such as prawns, chicken fillet and fried chicken are priced per 100g, so the final amount depends on what you weigh out.
  4. Everything is while stocks last. The fine print lets the store limit quantities and swap in products of the same value if stock runs out.

The lines worth the trip

Staples are where this catalogue is strongest.

  • Jasmine ThaiFresh import rice 10kg: RM27.99 (NP RM43.40), a saving of RM15.41 on one bag.
  • Milo softpack 900g: RM17.49 (NP RM24.60).
  • Grade C eggs, 30: RM12.99 (NP RM14.39).
  • Seri Murni cooking oil 5kg: RM28.99 (NP RM30.90).
  • Jati Basmathi Istimewa rice 5kg: RM24.99 (NP RM31.45).
  • Hero 99 detergent refill 3.2-3.5kg: two for RM20.99 (NP RM18.50-18.90 each), close to half price.
  • Royal Gold kitchen towel, 6 rolls: RM8.99 (NP RM20.60).
  • Udang putih 4XL prawns: RM3.69 per 100g (NP RM4.89), which works out to RM36.90 a kilo.

For bigger buys, the Hisense 55-inch QLED smart TV (55E7Q) is RM1,779 against a normal price of RM2,899, and the Midea 10.5kg fully-auto washer (MA102W105) is RM789 against RM1,039. The Panasonic 1.8L rice cooker is RM109.90 and the Khind 16-inch stand fan is RM89.90.

Worked examples

A monthly staples run of the rice, the 30 eggs, one 5kg Seri Murni, one Milo, two Goodday UHT milk (two for RM8.99) and two packs of Mamee (two for RM6.59) comes to RM103.04. At normal prices the same basket is RM139.89, so you save RM36.85, about 26%.

A household restock of Top powder 2.1kg (RM9.99), the Royal Gold towels (RM8.99), the Darlie twin pack (RM15.99), an Antabax shower refill (RM7.49) and two Labour dishwashing liquids (two for RM4.99) totals RM47.45 against RM86.70, a 45% saving.

Fine print that trips people up

  • The cooking oil carton is not a deal on top of the deal. Four 5kg bottles by the carton cost RM115.80. Four single bottles at RM28.99 cost RM115.96. You save 16 sen for carrying a carton.
  • Instalment plans are not all interest-free. The TV shows RM148.25 a month over 12 months at 0% interest (exactly RM1,779), but also RM72 a month over 36 months, which adds up to RM2,592. The washer's 0% option is RM131.50 over 6 months; its 12-month plan at RM76 totals RM912. Take the 0% plan if you can.
  • The Daily Special is one item a day, shared across Batu Pahat, Kepong and Bukit Minyak. On 21 September it was Cintan instant noodles (5-pack) at RM2.99 against RM5.25, limited to 100 units and one per customer per receipt. Check AEON BiG's promotion page each morning for that day's item.
  • The goodie bag is gone. It was for the first 100 customers on 21 September with RM100 in a single receipt.
  • The balloon drop on 27 September at 4.00PM promises AEON BiG gift cards (RM50 and RM100 are shown on the poster), with Kiddie Rides, Oden Bowl and Lucky Cup among the participating tenants. The poster does not say how many prizes there are, so treat it as a bonus rather than a reason to go.

Who it suits, and who can skip it

It suits Kepong, Metro Prima, Desa ParkCity and Segambut households doing a monthly stock-up, anyone replacing a TV or washer this month, and families after cheap kids' clothes (Mula range at RM5, girls' tops and dresses at RM5.90). The flyer also notes SARA (Sumbangan Asas Rahmah) is accepted at AEON BiG, which helps recipients stretch their credit on basics.

Skip it if you are only after one or two items on a "Buy 2" line, or if you live far away: saving RM15 on rice is wiped out by a long drive and parking.
