> Quick view: Panasonic Malaysia's aircon Touch 'n Go rebate was extended to purchases made by 30 September 2026, with claims open to 14 October. The August-only booster was not extended, so the most you can save now is RM350 (RM200 NUR@PETRA at the till plus RM150 in Touch 'n Go on an XU unit), not the RM450 still shown on Panasonic's promotions page.

Is the Panasonic aircon rebate still on?

Yes. Panasonic's promotions index lists Celebrate Merdeka with Cooler Savings with a campaign period of 1 July to 30 September 2026, a month longer than the 31 August end this article first reported. Its claim portal at panasonic.claim.my takes purchases dated up to 30 September 2026, 11:59pm and claims up to 14 October 2026, 11:59pm.

What was not extended is the part that made the headline. Panasonic still advertises "up to RM450", and the page's own footnote says that figure includes the RM200 NUR@PETRA rebate from SEDA. That leaves RM250 in Touch 'n Go. The T&C table on the claim portal splits the Touch 'n Go money into two columns:

  • a standing redemption rate, dated 1 July to 30 September
  • a "New NUR SEDA TnG Top Up" booster, dated 1 July to 31 August and marked "Chain Store Exclusive"

Only the XU series ever reached RM250, and only by adding the RM100 booster. From 1 September the claim portal's own summary reads "up to RM150". One more inconsistency is worth knowing about: clause 1 of the same T&C still says the promotion ends on 31 August. The extension appears only in the table header and on the claim portal.

How much you get now, by series

The T&C table lists 22 participating indoor units. Each approved unit earns one Touch 'n Go Reload PIN:

  • XU X-Premium (ZKH and BKH, 1.0 to 2.5HP): RM150 now, down from RM250 until 31 August
  • KU Deluxe (AKH, 1.0 to 3.0HP): RM100 now, down from RM160
  • RU Deluxe (AKH, 1.0 to 3.0HP): RM100 now, down from RM160
  • PU Standard (AKH, 1.0 to 2.5HP): RM50 now, down from RM80

Add the RM200 NUR@PETRA e-rebate and the totals are RM350 for XU, RM300 for KU or RU and RM250 for PU. The claim form's model menu also lists four XU units in the XKH variant (XU10XKH, XU13XKH, XU18XKH, XU24XKH), which the T&C table does not. If yours is an XKH, get the dealer to confirm the Touch 'n Go amount in writing before you pay.

SEDA's NUR@PETRA product list carries 70 Panasonic air conditioners as of 12 September 2026, including two BU-series units added on 10 September. So plenty of Panasonic models earn the RM200 government rebate but no Touch 'n Go at all. That includes the older PU VKH, WKH and XKH units and the XPU, U, LU, YU and BU series.

Worked prices at SEDA's listed RRP

Every model on SEDA's NUR@PETRA list carries a recommended retail price and a rated annual electricity use. Shop prices differ, so treat these as a like-for-like benchmark rather than what a dealer will charge you:

  • PU9AKH (1.0HP Standard): RM2,464, then RM2,264 after NUR at the till, then RM2,214 net after the RM50 PIN. Rated 845 kWh a year.
  • RU9AKH (1.0HP Deluxe): RM2,587, then RM2,387, then RM2,287 net after RM100. 845 kWh a year.
  • KU9AKH (1.0HP Deluxe): RM2,781, then RM2,581, then RM2,481 net after RM100. 845 kWh a year.
  • XU10ZKH (1.0HP X-Premium): RM2,715, then RM2,515, then RM2,365 net after RM150. 748 kWh a year.
  • PU12AKH (1.5HP Standard): RM3,002, then RM2,802, then RM2,752 net. 1,141 kWh a year.
  • XU13ZKH (1.5HP X-Premium): RM3,356, then RM3,156, then RM3,006 net. 961 kWh a year.

Two things stand out. Because the rebate is tiered, it narrows the gaps between series: at 1.0HP the RU Deluxe starts RM123 above the PU Standard but ends only RM73 above it. And at these list prices the 1.0HP XU10ZKH finishes RM116 cheaper than the 1.0HP KU9AKH while being rated 97 kWh a year lower. At 1.5HP, the XU13ZKH costs RM254 more than the PU12AKH after rebates but is rated 180 kWh a year lower. How to claim the Touch 'n Go rebate

  1. Buy a listed model from an authorised Panasonic dealer by 30 September 2026, on a single POS-printed receipt. Handwritten bills, proforma invoices, delivery orders and purchase orders are all rejected.
  2. Check that the invoice shows the shop name and outlet, the invoice number and date, the salesperson's contact number, your name, phone number and delivery address, the model number, the indoor unit's serial number, and the quantity and amount.
  3. Photograph the box with the serial number visible, because the claim asks for proof of packaging.
  4. Submit at panasonic.claim.my by 14 October 2026, 11:59pm. You can claim up to six indoor units per person.
  5. Answer WhatsApp messages from +6010-351 1588. Panasonic's agency makes three contact attempts, then disqualifies the entry.
  6. The PIN arrives by WhatsApp within 14 working days of approval. Redeem it within one month, because an expired PIN is not replaced.

Keep the original receipt, because Panasonic can ask for the hard copy before releasing the PIN.

The RM200 NUR@PETRA part is separate, and still open

  • NUR@PETRA is SEDA Malaysia's government rebate. Its 2026 domestic round runs from 1 July to 31 December 2026, or until the 160,000-rebate, RM32 million allocation is used up.
  • On 12 September 2026, the newest item on SEDA's NUR notices page was the 3 August closure of NUR: CHILLER, the industrial and commercial rebate, which ran out of quota early. There was no closure notice for the domestic round.
  • The RM200 comes off at the till, and only a SEDA-registered retailer can apply it. There are 1,291 on SEDA's retailer list as of 12 September. Check both the shop and the exact model number before you pay.
  • SEDA's eligibility checker accepts TNB, SESB, SEB and NUR Power accounts, so households in Sabah and Sarawak qualify too.
  • Panasonic's own online store product pages said nothing about NUR@PETRA when checked on 12 September. If you order online, confirm the RM200 deduction before paying. The Touch 'n Go claim also needs an invoice showing a salesperson's contact number, so check that an online invoice will carry one before counting on the PIN.

Other Panasonic offers running to 30 September

  • Celebrating 69 Years of Unity: up to 44% off selected products, 15 August to 30 September 2026, via Panasonic's own store, Shopee and Lazada. The campaign page on Panasonic's store lists XU, KU and PU aircon RM50 to RM150 below normal price, for example the XU13BKH at RM3,529 against RM3,679. On 12 September that model's own product page still showed RM3,679, so check the cart total.
  • The Ka-ching Washer Fest (extended): up to RM200 in Touch 'n Go rebates on selected washers, dryers and Smart Closet, to 30 September 2026.
  • 3+5 extended warranty on air conditioners: 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, subject to Panasonic's terms.

Who should buy before 30 September, and who can wait

  • Buy now if an XU is on your list. Its RM150 is the largest Touch 'n Go amount and it ends on 30 September. After that only the RM200 NUR remains.
  • A PU buyer loses little by waiting. RM200 of the RM250 comes from NUR@PETRA, which runs to December if the quota holds. Waiting costs RM50 a unit.
  • Kitting out several rooms? The limit is six units per person, so three XU units earn RM450 in Touch 'n Go PINs, each redeemable within a month.
  • Check the model first. A Panasonic unit outside the 22 in the table still gets the RM200 from a registered retailer, but no Touch 'n Go.

Fine print

  • Open to Malaysian citizens and permanent residents aged 18 and over. Panasonic staff and their families are excluded, and so are dealers, retailers and installers acting in their trade.
  • The same receipt cannot be used in two claims. A blurred or cropped receipt can be rejected, but you may be allowed to resubmit.
  • Redemptions are limited and first come, first served.
  • Panasonic's promotions page still says "up to RM450". The claim portal and the T&C table are the current terms.

What changed since this article was first published

This article first ran on 10 August, when the rebate was due to end on 31 August. Since then:

  • Panasonic extended the Touch 'n Go rebate to 30 September but did not extend the booster, so the XU maximum fell from RM250 to RM150.
  • The earlier version pointed to "So Cool, So Rewarding!" as this campaign's page. That page is Panasonic's 2025 campaign, which ran from 6 May to 30 June 2025. The 2026 page is "Celebrate Merdeka with Cooler Savings".
  • The Touch 'n Go split we could not pin down in August is now read straight off Panasonic's T&C table. PIN delivery is 14 working days, not the 30 we cited from older campaigns.
