> Quick view: book PARKROYAL A'Famosa Melaka Resort between 6pm and 8am and a special "After Hour Sale" rate appears. It came to RM325 a night for a Superior Room with breakfast for two on a Sunday, and RM375 on a Friday or Saturday, including taxes. That's less than half the resort's flexible rate for the same room. Stays must end by 31 October 2026, and you cannot cancel.

PARKROYAL A'Famosa is the large resort hotel inside the A'Famosa Resort grounds in Alor Gajah, outside Melaka city. It shares the grounds with the A'Famosa golf course, Safari Wonderland and the water theme park. Its offers page lists the After Hour Sale as a "night owl exclusive". The rate is bookable from 6pm to 8am only, for stays from 15 August to 31 October 2026. The page gives no price, so we searched the resort's own booking engine on 23 September at around 9.45pm for four different nights, and added a weeknight on 24 September at 6.30am.

What the rate costs, night by night

These are the prices the engine showed for two adults in one room. Every figure is per night and marked "Including Taxes".

  • Sunday 4 October: Superior Room RM325, Deluxe Room RM475, Deluxe Hollywood Queen RM605, PARKROYAL Club Room RM625, Junior Suite RM755, Deluxe Suite RM805, Premier Suite RM825, Signature Family Room RM1,805.
  • Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October: Superior Room RM375. On the Saturday the other room types were also exactly RM50 higher (Deluxe RM525, Club Room RM675, Signature Family Room RM1,855).
  • Wednesday 7 October (re-checked on 24 September at 6.30am, inside the booking window): Superior Room RM325, and every other room type matched the Sunday to the ringgit (Deluxe RM475, Club Room RM625, Signature Family Room RM1,805). The rate plans underneath were identical too: Jom Cuti RM481, Flexible Rate RM685, Serenity Escape RM735.
  • Saturday 31 October: Superior Room RM375 again, so the last night of the window still sells.
  • Sunday 1 November: the After Hour Sale was gone. The cheapest plan with breakfast was Advance Purchase at RM549.

In short, Sunday and midweek nights sit at the lower price, and Friday and Saturday nights add RM50. We didn't find a separate weekday discount below RM325.

How it compares with the resort's other rates

We opened the Superior Room on the same Sunday night (4 October) to see every rate plan side by side:

  • After Hour Sale: RM325, breakfast for two included.
  • Jom Cuti Melaka: RM481 (RM433.40 for Pan Pacific DISCOVERY members). This is room only. The plan itself prices breakfast at RM70 per person, so two breakfasts bring it to RM621.
  • Autumn Journeys: RM685 (members RM617), with breakfast, a guaranteed upgrade and a food and beverage credit.
  • Flexible Rate: RM685 (members RM617), with breakfast, and you can cancel up to 48 hours before arrival.
  • Serenity Escape: RM735 (members RM712), with breakfast and a 60-minute massage for two at Terra Spa.

On the Saturday (10 October) the order was the same: After Hour Sale RM375, Jom Cuti RM531, Advance Purchase RM667, Flexible Rate RM735.

Worked examples

  • A couple, one Sunday night. After Hour Sale RM325 plus the RM5 heritage fee comes to RM330. The same room on Jom Cuti with two breakfasts is RM626 with the fee. You save RM296.
  • A Friday and Saturday weekend (9 to 11 October). Two nights at RM375 is RM750 with breakfast both mornings, plus RM10 in heritage fees. On Jom Cuti the same nights are RM531 each, and adding two RM70 breakfasts a day makes RM1,342.
  • Two families sharing the Signature Family Room (up to six guests). RM1,805 on a Sunday. The rate covers breakfast for two, and the offer page doesn't say what extra guests pay for breakfast. Ask the hotel before you book, because RM70 a head for four more people would add RM280.

How to book it, step by step

  1. Wait until 6pm. Before that the rate simply isn't on the list. It stays open until 8am, so late-night and early-morning bookings both work.
  2. Open the resort's booking page on the Pan Pacific website, pick your dates and search.
  3. Choose a room, then look for "After Hour Sale" under the rate options. It sits above Jom Cuti Melaka and the Flexible Rate.
  4. Pay in full with a card. The hotel takes prepayment when you confirm.
  5. Bring cash or a card for the heritage fee (RM5 per room per night) at check-in, plus RM10 per room per night if you're not a Malaysian citizen.

Who it's good for, and who should skip it

Good for: couples and small families who already know their dates and want a resort stay with breakfast for well under RM400. It also suits anyone combining a night at the resort with Safari Wonderland or the water park next door.

Skip it if: your plans might change. The booking can't be cancelled, refunded or moved. It also won't help for November or December trips. For those, look at Advance Purchase (14 days ahead) or the resort's Family Getaway package, which runs to 31 December.

Fine print that trips people up

  • The time window is about when you book, not when you stay. You can book a Saturday night stay, as long as you book it between 6pm and 8am.
  • Member savings weren't shown to guests who are signed out. The offer page promises Pan Pacific DISCOVERY members an extra 10%. When we searched without signing in, the engine showed only one price. Treat RM325 as your price unless a member rate shows up after you log in.
  • The RM50 weekend step applies on Fridays too, not just Saturdays.
  • Blackout dates may apply, and the hotel says it can change the offer without notice.
  • Room types can sell out. The Deluxe Hollywood Queen was missing from the Saturday list we checked, so availability changes night by night.
