Melaka is a city people visit to eat, yet its hotel buffet scene is thinner than Penang's or Johor Bahru's. We went through more than 15 hotels on 6 October 2026, reading each one's own website, booking engine or recent Instagram posts. Casa del Rio and Majestic Malacca only serve à la carte and afternoon tea sets. Courtyard by Marriott's weekend buffet offer was dated 2025, Imperial Heritage only lists Ramadan and Chinese New Year buffets, and Grand Swiss-Belhotel's hi-tea was a September one-off. That leaves four hotels with a current, published buffet price, plus two that run a buffet without putting an October price online.
So this list is short on purpose. We would rather tell you which six hotels actually serve a buffet than pad it with ones that stopped.

How to choose
Match the night to the hotel. Most Melaka buffets run only one or two nights a week. DoubleTree and PARKROYAL serve dinner on Saturday only, Hatten and Dusit Princess on Friday and Saturday. A Thursday-night craving has no hotel buffet answer here.
Nett or plus-plus. DoubleTree, Dusit Princess and PARKROYAL state their prices include tax. Hatten's pages print RM68 without saying nett or ++, so ask when you book.
Children and seniors. The rules differ more than the adult prices. Hatten's poster counts 55 and over as a senior and children as 5 to 12. PARKROYAL uses 60 and over and 6 to 12. Dusit Princess discounts children by half and seniors by a quarter rather than printing a figure.
Worked example: two adults and two children (6 to 12) on a Saturday night. - Hatten satay celup: RM192 - PARKROYAL A'Famosa: RM386 (or RM426 if the RM85 child rate on its offer page applies) - DoubleTree: RM414 - Dusit Princess seafood and grill: RM474
Bring friends to DoubleTree. Its buy 4 free 1 means five adults pay RM552, or RM110.40 each, until 28 November.
How we would pick
- Satay celup without the street-stall queue: Hatten, Friday or Saturday.
- The seafood blowout: Dusit Princess, or DoubleTree with a group of five.
- Staying at A'Famosa anyway: PARKROYAL's Saturday Makan-Makan saves a drive back to town.
- Sunday: Hatten's hi-tea or Dusit Princess's brunch and dim sum.
