> Quick view: PARKROYAL A'Famosa Melaka Resort's Family Getaway package covers a family of four — buffet breakfast and buffet dinner at Spice Brasserie for 4, complimentary A'Famosa Safari Wonderland admission for 4, a one-time non-alcoholic minibar, and Wi-Fi. Bookable for stays through 31 December 2026.

What's actually in the package

PARKROYAL A'Famosa Melaka Resort — the Pan Pacific-managed resort on Jalan Kemus, Simpang Ampat, Alor Gajah (the property formerly known as A'Famosa Resort) — lists these inclusions on its own offer page, all quoted for 4 persons:

  • Complimentary buffet breakfast at Spice Brasserie Restaurant for 4 persons
  • Complimentary buffet dinner at Spice Brasserie Restaurant for 4 persons
  • Complimentary admission to A'Famosa Safari Wonderland for 4 persons
  • One-time minibar consumption during your stay (non-alcoholic items)
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the stay
  • Pan Pacific DISCOVERY members get an additional 10% off the promotional room rate

Bookable for bookings and stays from 1 March 2026 to 31 December 2026.

How it works, step by step

  1. Book the Family Getaway rate directly on the resort's offer page (or by phone on +60 6 908 8888) — it's a packaged rate, not a code you apply at checkout, so you have to select this specific offer rather than the standard room rate.
  2. Sign in to Pan Pacific DISCOVERY first if you're a member. The extra 10% comes off the promotional room rate, so it stacks on top of the package rather than replacing it.
  3. Email your dinner reservation separately. The terms are explicit here: for dinner at Spice Brasserie you must contact dining.prmlk@parkroyalhotels.com and quote your hotel confirmation number. Walking in on the night is not the process.
  4. Redeem the safari tickets at the resort, not at the park gate — A'Famosa Safari Wonderland runs 10am–6pm Wednesday to Monday and is closed on Tuesdays except public and school holidays, so check the day you're arriving. Mind the cut-off: A'Famosa's own ticketing portal states that ticket redemption closes at 3.30pm even though the park stays open until 6pm, so a late check-in can cost you the safari day entirely.
  5. Pay the taxes at check-in. SST is on the rate; the Heritage Tax and (for non-Malaysians) the Tourism Tax are collected separately at the reception counter.

What it's worth: a worked example

Take the most common booking — 2 adults and 2 children aged 6–12, staying a Saturday night:

| Inclusion | Published price if you paid separately | | --- | --- | | A'Famosa Safari Wonderland admission for 4 | 4 × RM59 = RM236 | | Spice Brasserie Saturday buffet dinner, 2 adults | 2 × RM128 = RM256 | | Spice Brasserie Saturday buffet dinner, 2 children (6–12) | 2 × RM65 = RM130 | | Spice Brasserie buffet breakfast for 4 | 4 × RM70 = RM280 | | One-time non-alcoholic minibar + Wi-Fi | Included — no published rate | | Total for the inclusions that carry a published price | RM902 |

Two of those numbers deserve a note, because both changed since this article first ran.

The breakfast now has a price. It used to be the one inclusion with no standalone rate, but the resort's own *Jom Cuti Melaka* room-only offer sells breakfast as an add-on at RM70 per person — so the four breakfasts in this package are worth RM280 by PARKROYAL's own published rate. That is the single largest line in the table after the dinner.

The RM248 safari family ticket is gone. A'Famosa's online ticketing portal (themepark.afamosa.com) now redirects every visitor to a single MATTA rate card, marked "Applicable for Malaysian only", and that card is the only per-person park pricing A'Famosa currently publishes anywhere:

  • Safari Wonderland — RM59 per pax
  • Water World — RM39 per pax
  • 2-Park (Safari + Water World) — RM89 per pax
  • 2-Park Annual Pass — RM289 adult, RM239 child

The four-person family ticket at RM248, and the old RM65 adult / RM59 child split, are no longer published on any A'Famosa channel. We have used RM59 × 4 = RM236 above because it is the rate the operator actually sells today. Children under 90cm still enter Safari Wonderland and Water World free.

One contradiction to be aware of before you count the safari as RM236 of value. A'Famosa's own Water Theme Park page advertises an "A'FAMOSA 2-PARK ANNUAL PASS RM69 — Unlimited Entry to Water Theme Park & Safari Wonderland for 365 Days", which is a quarter of the RM289 annual pass on its own ticketing portal. The two figures cannot both be current. If the RM69 pass is real and still sold at the counter, the cash value of four safari admissions is closer to RM276 of annual passes than a one-day RM236 — and a family that visits Melaka more than once a year would be better off buying passes than valuing this inclusion highly. Ask at the park counter before you decide the package on the safari alone.

Note that Water World is a separate park and a separate ticket — still operating, 10am–6pm Wednesday to Monday, at RM39 per pax on the MATTA card. It is *not* part of this package.

Who it suits — and who should skip it

Book it if: you're a family of four who actually wants the safari, you can build the trip around a Saturday night for the buffet dinner, and you'd otherwise be paying for park tickets anyway. The maths only works if you use the inclusions.

Skip it if: you're a couple or a family of two or three — the package is priced and portioned for four, and unused benefits explicitly cannot be exchanged for cash. Skip it too if you're heading to Melaka for Jonker Street and the heritage core rather than the resort itself; Alor Gajah is roughly 30–40 minutes from town, and a George Town-style heritage stay will suit you better. And skip it if your dates are locked and inflexible — this is a non-combinable offer with blackout dates.

Fine print worth reading twice

  • Rates are subject to prevailing SST of 8%
  • A Melaka Heritage Tax of RM5 per room per night applies to all guests, and a Tourism Tax of RM10 per room per night applies to non-Malaysian citizens only — both are borne by the guest at check-in
  • Bookings may be modified or cancelled up to 48 hours before arrival (hotel time)
  • The offer cannot be combined with any other offer, and unused benefits cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Subject to availability; blackout dates may apply, and the resort reserves the right to amend the package without notice
  • Spice Brasserie's published buffet dinner slot is Saturday, 6.00pm–10.30pm, with buffet breakfast daily 6.30am–10.30am — if you're staying on a weeknight, confirm by email what form the included dinner takes
  • Spice Brasserie is halal-certified
  • Unusually for a hotel buffet, Spice Brasserie's published RM128 / RM65 prices are already tax-inclusive — its own menu note says prices are quoted "inclusive of ... Sales and Service Tax (SST), and other prevailing government taxes", so there is no ++ uplift to add to the RM386 dinner figure

Other current offers at the same resort

The Merdeka 69 package this article previously pointed to expired on 31 August 2026 and has been removed from the resort's offers page. Checked again on 3 September 2026, these are the offers PARKROYAL A'Famosa is actually running:

  • Jom Cuti Melaka — the resort's own "most booked" offer and the direct alternative to Family Getaway. A Superior King or Twin room, complimentary Wi-Fi and free parking, with breakfast available at RM70 per person as an add-on rather than included. Bookable 22 January to 30 December 2026, for stays to 31 December 2026. The trade-off is rigidity: prepayment in full at booking, non-refundable on no-show or cancellation, and no date amendments — so it suits locked-in dates and nothing else. (The offer page also carries a "modify or cancel up to 72 hours prior to arrival" line that sits awkwardly against the non-refundable clause; confirm which applies before you prepay.)
  • After Hour Sale — a flash sale tagged "limited time only" on the offers page, so worth refreshing if your dates are flexible.
  • The Club Privilege — up to 25% off Club Rooms and Suites.
  • Wake Up to More — breakfast included with the stay, the middle ground between Jom Cuti Melaka's RM70 add-on and Family Getaway's full-board bundle.
  • Suite Escape, Swing & Stay (for the resort's golf course) and Advance Purchase for stay-longer and book-early discounts.
  • Serenity Escape — the resort's spa package, and Every Meeting Matters for events booked by 31 December 2026.

For a family of four who will use the parks, Family Getaway remains the only offer here that bundles admission and both meals; its 48-hour cancellation window is also the most forgiving of the room offers, which matters more than it looks next to Jom Cuti Melaka's non-refundable prepayment.
