> Quick view: from 16 to 31 October 2026, Pathlab is selling its General Health Screening (60 blood and urine tests) for RM110 instead of the usual RM220, and a magnesium test worth RM60 is thrown in. It runs at all of Pathlab's 70-plus walk-in branches, so it is one of the cheapest ways to get a full annual blood panel this year. Most branches close at 1pm on weekends, and you will probably need to fast unless your bill reaches RM200.

We read the offer on Pathlab Malaysia's official Facebook page on 17 October 2026, then checked its website for branch hours and its year-round coupons. Pathlab is a private lab chain based in Petaling Jaya. You walk in, give blood and urine samples, and get a printed report. You do not need a doctor's referral.

What you get for RM110

The October package is General Health Screening, 60 tests, RM110 (recommended selling price RM220), plus a magnesium test worth RM60. If you want more, there are two upgrades:

  • +5 tag-on tests: RM209 (RSP RM370)
  • +10 tag-on tests: RM308 (RSP RM520). This one also adds a vitamin B12 test worth RM60.

The post does not list the 60 tests. For an idea of the scope, Pathlab's year-round General Health Screening I (62 tests) covers a full blood count and blood group, kidney function and electrolytes, glucose, a full cholesterol profile, liver function, the AFP tumour marker, syphilis (RPR) and hepatitis B, thyroid (free T4), rheumatoid factor and a 17-item urine test. Ask the branch for the October list before you pay, because 60 is not 62.

How to do it, step by step

  1. Pick a branch on Pathlab's centre locator. Most branches are open 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday and 7:30am to 1pm on Saturday and Sunday, so a weekend visit has to happen in the morning.
  2. Fast the night before unless you are paying RM200 or more (see below). The year-round coupons ask for 10 to 12 hours of fasting, with plain water allowed.
  3. Walk in and ask for the October General Health Screening promotion, and say whether you want the +5 or +10 upgrade. Pathlab's post says to message them for details, and the WhatsApp number for each branch is on the locator.
  4. Collect your report. Ask when it will be ready and whether someone will go through the results with you. If anything is flagged, take the report to your GP.

Worked examples

  • Just the basics: RM110 instead of RM220, so you save RM110. Your magnesium result is included.
  • The +5 upgrade: RM209 against RSP RM370, a saving of RM161. That is RM99 more than the basic package. At RM209 you also clear the RM200 mark, so you can skip fasting at no extra charge. For people who cannot go without breakfast, that is worth more than the five extra tests.
  • The +10 upgrade: RM308 against RSP RM520, a saving of RM212. The vitamin B12 test alone is listed at RM60, so this tier makes sense for vegetarians and older adults, who are more often told to check B12.
  • A couple: two basic packages cost RM220, the same as one at the normal price. Pathlab does not say whether two people's bills can be combined to reach RM200 for non-fasting, so plan for both of you to fast.

We read the upgrade prices as the total for the bigger package, since each one's RSP is higher than the basic RSP. Confirm this at the counter.

The other Pathlab offers this month

  • The Starling Mall roadshow, 21 to 25 October, 10am to 10pm (ground floor, near Starbucks). Pathlab's poster lists a free bone scan, a free blood pressure check, screening package discounts of up to RM200 and free gifts. These are "exclusively at the Pathlab Roadshow", and the asterisks point to terms that are not printed. It is the only option open after lunch on a weekday, and it is open on a weekend evening.
  • Trinley supplements: spend RM120, get RM10 off, 1 to 31 October, at Pathlab branches only, while stocks last.
  • Year-round website coupons, valid until 31 December 2026: General Health Screening I (62 tests) at RM130, II at RM182 (adds GGT and two cancer markers) and III at RM250 (adds GGT and five extra tests). You show the coupon on your phone at any branch. The coupons say they cannot be used with other promotions.

Who it is good for, and who should skip it

Good for: adults who have not had a blood test in over a year, freelancers and gig workers without a company panel clinic, and anyone who wants a baseline before starting a new diet or exercise plan.

Skip it if your employer or insurer already pays for an annual check-up, or if you have symptoms. A screening panel is not a diagnosis, so see a doctor first. If you are 40 or older, also check whether you qualify for a free government or PERKESO screening programme before paying.

Fine print that trips people up

  • The non-fasting option is not free on the basic package. Pathlab says non-fasting tests are now available nationwide, but "no extra charges" only applies when you spend RM200 and above. The charge below that is not published, so ask.
  • Weekend hours are short. Branches close at 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. If you arrive at 12:45pm after fasting all morning, you may be turned away.
  • The October price and the RM130 coupon do not stack. The coupon terms say it is not valid with other promotions. Until 31 October, the RM110 deal is RM20 cheaper. After that, the RM130 coupon is the fallback.
  • Pathlab's offer ends on 31 October. The roadshow perks are separate and only run from 21 to 25 October.

Offer details are on Pathlab Malaysia's Facebook page, and the branch list and year-round coupons are on pathlab.com.my.
