> Quick view: Ramen Hitoyoshi, the Kyushu-style tonkotsu chain, turns nine this year and is running a two-month "Ramen Feast" from 1 October to 30 November 2026. At all six Malaysian outlets, a second bowl of ramen is 25% off and a third bowl is 50% off, on any ramen on the menu. The poster's small print says the discount applies to the lowest-priced bowl, which decides how much you actually save.

How the Ramen Feast works

Ramen Hitoyoshi announced the promotion on its Malaysian Instagram and Facebook pages on 28 September 2026. The poster sets out three tiers:

  1. 1st bowl: full price.
  2. 2nd bowl: 25% off.
  3. 3rd bowl: 50% off.

The poster says it is "applicable to any ramen of your choice", so you are not limited to a promo menu. Tonkotsu, garlic tonkotsu, spicy tonkotsu and the shoyu ramen all count. The poster only talks about ramen, so ask before counting a rice bowl, mazesoba or side dish towards a tier.

Under the headline sit two lines of small print: "Discount applies to the lowest-priced bowl" and "Available in all outlets". The caption adds "while stocks last" and "T&Cs apply".

There is a second part to the campaign. The caption says you can "spend and unlock FREE VOUCHERS worth up to RM20". Neither the post nor the poster says how much you need to spend, how many vouchers there are, or when they can be used, so ask the cashier before you pay.

What the cheapest-bowl rule means for your bill

Because the discount always sits on the cheapest bowl, the deal rewards a table that orders bowls at similar prices. Ramen Hitoyoshi did not publish menu prices with this campaign, so the figures below use a round RM30 bowl purely to show the arithmetic. Check the menu at your outlet.

Two people, same price bowls. Two RM30 bowls normally come to RM60. The second bowl is 25% off, so you save RM7.50 and pay RM52.50. That is 12.5% off the ramen total.

Three people, same price bowls. Three RM30 bowls are RM90. With 25% off one and 50% off another, you save RM22.50 and pay RM67.50, a quarter off the ramen.

A premium bowl next to a basic one. If one person orders a loaded bowl at RM38 and the other a basic bowl at RM27, the 25% comes off the RM27 bowl only. The saving is RM6.75, not the RM9.50 you might expect.

The poster does not spell out how three bowls at different prices are split. The most natural reading is that the cheapest bowl takes the 50% and the next cheapest takes the 25%. Confirm this when you order, especially if prices vary a lot across the table.

Who it suits, and who should skip it

It suits groups of three, which is where the 50% tier kicks in, and couples who eat ramen anyway. Big eaters can also use it alone: the poster does not limit the bowls to one per person, though a solo diner ordering two bowls should check this with staff.

Skip it if you usually order one bowl and a rice dish, since the poster only mentions ramen. It is also not worth a special trip if your table splits between the most expensive and cheapest items on the menu.

Where and when you can use it

The promotion runs at all six Ramen Hitoyoshi outlets in Malaysia. Opening hours below are as listed on the brand's Instagram:

  • 168 Park Selayang Mall: daily 10am to 10pm.
  • Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya: daily 10am to 10pm.
  • The Starling Mall, Damansara Uptown: daily 10am to 10pm.
  • Empire City Mall, Damansara Perdana: daily 10am to 10pm.
  • Mount Austin, Johor Bahru: Monday to Thursday 11.30am to 2.45pm and 5.30pm to 10pm; Friday 11.30am to 11pm; Saturday 11am to 11pm; Sunday and public holidays 11am to 10pm. Note the afternoon break on weekdays.
  • PALO 101, Ipoh: Monday to Friday 11.30am to 10pm; weekends and public holidays 11am to 10pm.

The fine print that trips people up

  • Cheapest bowl only. Covered above, and the biggest source of disappointment at the till.
  • Voucher terms are unpublished. The "up to RM20" figure is a ceiling, and the spend needed to reach it is not stated.
  • While stocks last. A busy weekend could see some ramen sold out, which may limit your choice of bowls.
  • Dine-in versus delivery is not addressed. The posts only say "all outlets". Assume the deal is for orders placed at the restaurant unless the delivery app shows it.
  • Stacking is not addressed. Do not assume it combines with other discounts or the vouchers from this same campaign.
