> Quick view: as of 27 September 2026 there is still no sale at Samsonite Factory Outlet, Johor Premium Outlets. It sat out the mall's Malaysia Day Specials (25 to 27 September), and the only offer on its store record is the VIP Shopper extra 10%. Online, Samsonite's Malaysia Day offers ended on 20 September, and the RM690 rebate went with them. The standing Buy 2 15% / Buy 3 25% bundle and the 30-56% markdowns are what's left, so for a two-case buyer the price went up by RM690 overnight.

Status on 27 September: still nothing on sale, and how we checked

We read all four places Johor Premium Outlets publishes a tenant's offers, on 27 September 2026:

  • Special Sale feed: 22 cards. None is for Samsonite. The newest were published on 26 September (Kate Spade, Valentino, Puma, KENZO, Wacoal, Triumph), so the feed is being updated; Samsonite simply isn't on it.
  • Events feed: four events. The one that matters is Johor Premium Outlets Malaysia Day Specials, 25 to 27 September 2026, 10am to 10pm, "savings up to 65%". Its brand list has 16 names, from AAPE to XTEP. Samsonite Factory Outlet is not one of them.
  • Samsonite's store record: one deal, the VIP Shopper offer.
  • VIP Shopper list: 49 JPO brands, Samsonite Factory Outlet among them.

The absence is real, not a lag. The same feed is still showing Universal Traveller Outlet's 1 to 31 August card, almost four weeks dead. The mall does not tidy up expired cards, so a Samsonite card that isn't there was never put up.

How 2026 has run at this outlet

The mall's own records give three Samsonite offers this year, and only one is still running:

  • Special Sale, 10 July to 6 September 2026: "Enjoy up to 40% savings on selected items". The card was published on 18 July, a week after its start date.
  • 15th Anniversary Sale, 10 to 13 September 2026: the same "up to 40%" ceiling.
  • VIP Shopper deal, 1 January to 31 December 2026: an extra 10% on selected items in a single receipt. Still live.

Since 13 September, the outlet has now missed one mall-wide campaign (Malaysia Day) outright. Johor Premium Outlets has not published a next Samsonite date. The mall sometimes posts cards late and backdates them, so a card could still appear; check the date on it, not just whether it exists.

What the VIP extra 10% is actually worth

The offer reads, word for word, "Additional 10% savings with purchase of selected items in a single receipt." In ringgit:

  • An item tagged RM800 comes to RM720
  • An item tagged RM1,200 comes to RM1,080
  • Two items tagged RM600 each on one receipt come to RM1,080. The single-receipt rule matters if the store only applies the offer to one product line.

Membership is free at the mall's VIP Club page, and the account is the same login as the Premium Outlets Malaysia app. The mall has never said which items are "selected", so ask at the counter before you queue.

Samsonite's own website after 20 September

Samsonite Malaysia's Promotion Terms & Conditions page, read on 27 September 2026, no longer carries the Malaysia Day block (11 to 20 September): the up-to-20% Ladies and RED offer and the RM690 rebate over RM2,399 are gone. Three standing entries remain:

  • Mix and Match: Buy 2, additional 15% off; Buy 3 and above, additional 25% off on selected luggage. Running "from 20 July 2026 until further notice". The campaign page lists three cases: Modus, Octolite Neo and Zipprix FT, all Spinner 75/28. It cannot be combined with vouchers, the Friends of Samsonite loyalty programme or other promotions
  • Suit Up Your Luggage: a luggage cover for RM99 with any luggage purchase, described as permanent
  • UOB promotion, 1 January to 31 December 2026. The page names it but prints no mechanics, so ask before you count on it

The markdowns are unchanged from mid-September. On the first screen of the luggage grid on 27 September:

  • Magnum Eco Spinner 55/20: RM1,829 → RM799 (56% off)
  • Niar Spinner 57/20 EXP REC: RM1,399 → RM699.50 (50%)
  • Azio Spinner 55/20 EXP: RM1,559 → RM779.50 (50%)

Worked maths: what the rebate's end costs you

Two Zipprix FT 75/28 (both at list price):

  • 2 × RM1,719 = RM3,438
  • Buy 2 at an extra 15% off: RM2,922.30, or RM1,461.15 per case
  • Up to 20 September the RM690 rebate took this to about RM2,232.30. The same basket now costs RM690 more

Three Zipprix FT 75/28 (a family set):

  • 3 × RM1,719 = RM5,157
  • Buy 3 at an extra 25% off: RM3,867.75, or RM1,289.25 per case, 25% under list

Two Modus 75/28 (already 40% down):

  • 2 × RM1,319.40 = RM2,638.80
  • *If* the 15% bundle applies on top of the markdown: RM2,242.98, or RM1,121.49 per case, about 49% under the RM2,199 list. That would be the best large-case price on the site
  • The bundle page shows the marked-down price, but the terms say the bundle "cannot stack with … other promotions". Put two in the cart and read the total before you pay

One case of each (Modus + Octolite Neo + Zipprix FT at today's prices):

  • RM1,319.40 + RM1,259.30 + RM1,719 = RM4,297.70
  • Buy 3 at an extra 25%, if it applies to all three: about RM3,223.28

Just need one cabin case? The Magnum Eco 55/20 at RM799 is still the cheapest route, and no bundle beats it for a single bag.

Two standing conditions on the site still shut the sale rail out: the Friends of Samsonite RM150 welcome voucher needs RM1,000 on regular-priced items, and free shipping to East Malaysia covers only items discounted 0 to 30%.

Other luggage at the same mall

  • Travel For All, Suite 516, High Street (+07 661 8936). The Malaysia Day Specials list gives it a 1 to 30 September offer: selected items from RM419.50, plus a VIP Shopper extra 10% on its store record. *Correction:* on 14 September we wrote that Travel For All's September price points were listed only at the Genting outlet. The JPO listing now carries its own card
  • Universal Traveller Outlet, Suite 308, Low Street (+6017 373 2900), next door. Its "purchase 2 selected items at RM699" card ended 31 August and nothing has replaced it
  • For bags rather than cases: Braun Büffel runs an extra 20% on 2 selected items, 10% on 1, and an RM50 rebate on RM500 to 30 September; Aigner has up to 60% plus an extra 30% on 2 selected items to 30 September

Who should go, who should wait, who should buy online

Buy online if you want two or three large cases from Modus, Octolite Neo or Zipprix FT. The bundle is open-ended, so there is no deadline, but it is also RM690 weaker than it was a week ago.

Buy online now if you want one cabin case. The Magnum Eco, Niar and Azio 55cm cases at RM699.50 to RM799 are cheaper than anything the outlet has advertised this year on current stock.

Go to Johor Premium Outlets if you are there anyway, want to handle past-season stock before paying, or want to compare Travel For All's RM419.50 floor on the same trip. The Premium Outlets x Genting Rewards programme (6GP in a day → a Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day ticket) runs at JPO to 30 September 2026.

Don't make a special trip for Samsonite alone. The 10% VIP offer won't cover the petrol and tolls from most of Johor Bahru unless you are buying something big.

Skip the JPO x Maybank RM50 voucher (20 April to 31 December 2026, RM1,000 across two receipts). It is valid only for selected Maybank cards issued in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei.

How to check before you drive

  1. Open the Johor Premium Outlets deals page and look for a card titled "Samsonite Factory Outlet". Check its dates. Old cards stay up after they end, and new ones are sometimes backdated.
  2. Open the mall's current events listing too. Several brands' offers appear only there, not as deal cards.
  3. Call +07 661 8938 and ask whether the VIP 10% covers the range you want.
  4. Compare the same size on samsonite.com.my, and read its Promotion Terms & Conditions page for the current campaigns. The homepage banner doesn't show them.

Fine print

  • The VIP Shopper 10% applies to "selected items". The mall has never listed which ones
  • Outlet stock is not the same range as samsonite.com.my, so like-for-like model comparisons need a phone call first
  • Online prices were read on 27 September 2026 from the first screen of the luggage grid and the Mix and Match page, not the full catalogue
  • Samsonite's bundle terms don't say whether the extra 15% or 25% applies to already-reduced prices. Trust the cart total, not our arithmetic
