What is live at Skechers right now

  • Complimentary gift with purchase of RM500 — Skechers' offer inside the Johor Premium Outlets 15th Anniversary Sale, 10 to 13 September 2026. Skechers runs the identical offer at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets over the same four days
  • 10% savings with purchase of selected items — the standing VIP Shopper Club deal, valid 1 January to 31 December 2026, free membership required
  • The mall does not publish what the RM500 gift is, or whether it stacks with the VIP 10%. Ask at the counter before you split a receipt
  • Nothing else. Skechers has no percentage-off card of its own in JPO's Special Sale list as of 4 September 2026

The four-day window, and why the hours matter

Johor Premium Outlets trades longer than usual for the anniversary, and longer than its sister centre:

  • 10 and 13 September 2026 — 10am to 10pm
  • 11 and 12 September 2026 — 10am to midnight
  • Genting Highlands Premium Outlets closes at 10pm on all four days, so JPO is the late-night option

What RM500-for-a-gift is actually worth

Compare it with what the same store ran in July, when a RM550 single receipt bought an extra 20% off and RM380 bought an extra 15%:

  • July, RM550 spend — an extra 20% came off, roughly RM110 back on that receipt
  • July, RM380 spend — an extra 15%, roughly RM57 back
  • September, RM500 spend — one complimentary gift of unstated value

So unless the gift is worth more than about RM100, July's mechanic was the better one at a similar basket. The honest read: September's Skechers offer is a threshold freebie, not a discount, and if you were waiting for another spend-and-save it has not arrived.

Footwear at JPO in September 2026 — the real list

Every August offer this article previously listed has ended. These are the September ones, all taken from the mall's own anniversary listing on 4 September 2026:

  • Timberland (Suite 808, High Street) — 50% savings with purchase of 2 selected items, 1-30 September

The single best footwear mechanic at the centre this month is ECCO's, and it lasts two days. On 11 and 12 September only, ECCO's second layer changes from an extra 15% to an additional 50% savings with purchase of 2 selected items, on top of the up-to-50% markdown. On 10 and 13 September the same store is back to an extra 15%. If you are buying two pairs of ECCOs, the date decides how much you pay.

The shoe shops with nothing on

These JPO tenants carry no Special Sale card, do not appear in the anniversary brand list, and are not in the VIP Shopper Club list either — so there is no discount to collect at any of them right now:

  • Nike Unite Johor (Suite 1410) — its 50%-with-2-items ran 16-31 August and was not renewed
  • Steve Madden (Suite 320) — its extra 25% ended 23 August
  • adidas Outlet Store (Suite 1004) and adidas Originals (Suite 1108)
  • New Balance (Suite 801), HOKA (Suite 912), BIRKENSTOCK (Suite 906), FitFlop Outlet (Suite 302), Aldo (Suite 814)

Why you will not find half of this on the deals page

The advice in the earlier version of this article — open JPO's deals page and switch tabs — is now incomplete, and it is the reason a reader could conclude Clarks or Timberland had stopped discounting:

  • JPO's Special Sale list carried only 17 cards on 4 September 2026, down from around 40 in August. Clarks, Timberland, Hush Puppies, ASICS, Xtep and Puma are not among them
  • Their September offers are published only inside the 15th Anniversary Sale event listing, where 24 brands run 1-30 September offers that appear nowhere else on the site
  • The deals list is also not self-cleaning: Universal Traveller Outlet's 1-31 August card was still on display on 4 September, four days dead. A card that lingers means nothing; a card that vanishes means the mall pulled the offer

VIP Shopper Club: which footwear brands it actually helps

49 brands sit in JPO's VIP tab. Among the shoe shops:

  • Crocs — 10% on the entire purchase, the most generous of the group because it is not limited to selected items
  • ASICS Factory Outlet — additional 15% with 3 selected items in a single receipt
  • Under Armour Outlet — additional 10% with a RM600 spend in a single receipt
  • Puma — 10% with selected items in a single receipt
  • Skechers, ECCO Outlet and Levi's Outlet Store — 10% on selected items

Joining is free: register with an email address, password and mobile number on the Premium Outlets Malaysia site, and the same login works in the app.

Three mall-wide things to stack on the same trip

  • Shop More. Win Bigger. — the anniversary top-spender contest, 10 to 20 September 2026: a RM30,000 Premium Outlets gift voucher, trips to Seoul and Shanghai for two, and 15 Sony PlayStation 5 consoles. Details at the Information Centre

One to skip: the JPO x Maybank redemption (spend RM1,000 over 2 receipts for a RM50 gift voucher, 20 April to 31 December 2026) is valid only for selected Maybank cards issued in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei. A Malaysian-issued Maybank card does not qualify.

If you would rather not drive to Kulai

On Skechers' own Malaysian web store on 4 September 2026, the homepage fronts RM69 off a RM399 spend and RM169 off a RM599 spend, a 20%-off-at-cart Global Collection, and free shipping above RM150 in West Malaysia. Two caveats: outlet stock at JPO is not the same range as the web store's, and the voucher collection's own URL still carries an August label, so treat the online window as unstated rather than confirmed.

Who this trip suits — and who should skip it

Go on 11 or 12 September if you want two pairs of ECCOs — that is the only window with the extra 50%, and the mall is open to midnight both nights. Go any time in September for Clarks, Timberland, Hush Puppies, ASICS, Xtep or Vans; those run all month and there is no reason to fight the anniversary crowd for them.

Skip it if you specifically wanted Skechers markdowns. The September offer is a gift at a RM500 threshold, not a discount, and the VIP layer is a flat 10% on selected items. Skip it too if you were counting on Nike, adidas, New Balance or Steve Madden — all four have nothing running at the centre this month.

How to check before you drive

Open the Johor Premium Outlets deals page for limited-time cards and the VIP tab for year-round member offers — then, separately, open the 15th Anniversary Sale listing, which is where most of September's brand offers actually live. Skechers' own listing is at its VIP deal page.
