> Quick view: TGV's "Up to RM5 Off" with Grab (GRABPAYTGV3 / PAYLATERTGV5) ended on 30 September 2026 as scheduled, and on 2 October it is no longer among the 28 live entries on TGV's promotions feed. The Shopee SPayLater Buy 1 Free 1 that some sites still list "to 31 October" is gone from TGV's site too. What is left in October: a flat RM10 ticket with a Maybank Mastercard Debit card (Thursday to Sunday), Mid Day Movies from RM10, Early Bird from RM10 (back on TGV's list), RM12 for kids, seniors and OKU every day, an RM18 Deluxe ticket with TNG eWallet for MovieClub members, the Affin credit card Buy 1 Free 1 on Fridays and Saturdays until 31 October, RM5 off with an MBSB Debit Card-i, RM10 off IMAX with a Maybank Mastercard credit card, and RM2 off on Members Wednesday. None of them stack, so the job is picking the right one for your day, time and card.

What happened to the Grab code

The Grab promotion ran 17 August to 30 September 2026: RM3 off with GrabPay, RM5 off with PayLater by Grab, a RM40 minimum spend, MovieClub members only, 1,000 transactions per payment method. We read TGV's promotions feed on 2 October 2026 and it has 28 entries; the Grab offer is not one of them, and no replacement Grab offer has been added. If you saved GRABPAYTGV3 or PAYLATERTGV5, expect checkout to reject it.

The bigger change is the SPayLater Buy 1 Free 1. It was advertised for 1 September to 31 October, and SAYS and other aggregators still say "until 31 October". But its page on TGV's site now returns "Promotion Item Not Found", and it has been missing from TGV's list since at least 25 September. TGV gave no reason. Trust TGV's own page over the aggregators and don't plan a booking around it.

Every TGV ticket offer still live in October 2026

All of these come from TGV's own promotion pages, read on 2 October 2026, except the TNG eWallet offer, which is published on Touch 'n Go's site. Every one of them says it is not valid with other promotions, hall bookings, special screenings, events or concerts.

  • RM10 ticket with a Maybank Mastercard Debit card. Sessions Thursday to Sunday, 1 January to 31 December 2026, all TGV locations. Choose the "Maybank Mastercard Single" ticket and pay with the debit card. Maximum 2 tickets per transaction, and 3,000 promo tickets a week nationwide.
  • Mid Day Movies from RM10. Sessions 12pm to 6pm, weekdays only, with no card or code needed. It excludes weekends, public holidays and titles TGV marks Blockbuster or Super Blockbuster. Deluxe single seats only; twin seats cost extra.
  • Early Bird from RM10. Sessions before 12pm, on selected titles only. It is sold on the website, app, counter and kiosks, for Deluxe single seats. On 4 September we reported this offer withdrawn. It is back on TGV's all-year list under the title "Early Bird From RM10", and the page was last updated on 29 September.
  • RM12 for kids, seniors and OKU. For children aged 12 and below, adults aged 60 and above, and persons with disabilities, every day in standard halls, on every sales channel. The page's web address still says "rm10", but the price on the page is RM12.
  • RM18 Deluxe ticket with TNG eWallet. 21 April to 31 December 2026, every day, for MovieClub members paying with TNG eWallet on TGV's website or app only. Maximum 2 tickets per transaction and 1,000 tickets a day. It excludes anime, concert films, merchandise combos, and student and kids tickets.
  • Buy 1 Free 1 with an Affin credit card. On Fridays and Saturdays until 31 October 2026. Choose the "B1F1 with Affin" ticket and pay with the card. It covers 2D Deluxe single seats, capped at 200 tickets a day, with a maximum of 2 tickets per transaction and one promo transaction per week.
  • RM5 off with an MBSB Debit Card-i. Any day, until 27 June 2027. It covers 2D Deluxe single seats, 100 tickets a day, up to 2 per transaction, and has no minimum spend.
  • RM10 off IMAX with a Maybank Mastercard credit card. Every day until 31 December 2026, choosing the "Maybank Mastercard IMAX" ticket. Capped at 350 tickets a week, 2 per transaction.
  • Members Wednesday: RM2 off. For MovieClub members every Wednesday, on the website and app only. It excludes premieres, blockbusters, sneaks and any Wednesday that is a public holiday or the eve of one. Deepavali eve, Saturday 7 November, does not fall on a Wednesday, so October and November Wednesdays are unaffected.

Which one to use: worked examples

TGV doesn't publish a national price list; prices vary by hall, format and showtime. The figure we have is from TGV's own Grab step guide: a RM25 adult "Single" ticket at TGV Alamanda on 10 August 2026. Treat it as an illustration, not a quote for your hall.

  • Saturday 8pm, two adults, you hold a Maybank Mastercard Debit card: 2 × RM10 = RM20, against RM50 at the illustrative full price. The Affin Buy 1 Free 1 would cost RM25 for the pair, so the Maybank debit ticket wins on Thursday to Sunday.
  • Friday night, Affin credit card only: pay for one ticket and get the second free, so about RM25 for two. Do it before 31 October, and remember it allows one promo transaction a week.
  • Tuesday 3pm, no special card: Mid Day Movies from RM10, unless the title is marked Blockbuster.
  • Wednesday 8pm, a MovieClub member with TNG eWallet: RM18 a ticket, so RM36 for two. Members Wednesday only takes RM2 off, about RM23 each on a RM25 ticket, so TNG's RM18 is the better deal.
  • Two adults and two kids on a Sunday afternoon: two Maybank debit tickets at RM10, plus two kids' tickets at RM12, comes to RM44. You need separate transactions, because the Maybank ticket allows two per transaction and the kids' price is its own ticket type.

Fine print that catches people out

  • Nothing stacks. Each offer is its own ticket type at checkout, so you pick one per ticket line.
  • Caps are national and first come, first served. The Affin offer allows 200 tickets a day and MBSB 100 a day. Book Friday and Saturday Affin tickets early in the day.
  • Most card offers are Deluxe 2D single seats. IMAX, premium halls and twin seats are excluded or cost more, except the IMAX-specific Maybank credit card offer.
  • The TNG RM18 and Members Wednesday need a MovieClub login. MovieClub is free to join, but guest checkout won't show those prices.

Big dates in October to December

TGV opened ticket sales on 1 October 2026 for an Avengers: Doomsday Game Night at 12:05am on 17 December 2026. It runs at TGV Pavilion Damansara Heights, Sunway Pyramid and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur only, at RM150 for a ticket, a Royale Popcorn Combo, merchandise and an A3 poster. None of the discounts above apply to it.

At TGV Pavilion Damansara Heights, Maybank credit card holders who spend RM200 in a single mall receipt can claim a free TGV Signature Popcorn Combo at the Level 2 concierge. It runs Monday to Friday until 31 December 2026, excluding public holidays, for the first 40 cardholders a day.
