First, about HERO-CON 2026
HERO-CON 2026 (Spider-Man Edition) ran 29 July to 2 August 2026 at Pavilion Arena and the new TGV on Level 5. It is over. The free-entry fan convention, the TGV Heroic Quest trail that handed out free movie tickets, and the Hero-Con Passport lucky draw (Poh Kong gold and movie tickets) all closed with it, and TGV has not announced a second edition.
If you came here for those free tickets, they are gone. The discounts further down are live, apply at every TGV in the country, and don't need an event.
What TGV Pavilion Damansara Heights actually is
The cinema opened on 9 July 2026. It is TGV's third cinema with the Pavilion group and its 10th IMAX location nationwide.
- 10 halls, 1,310 seats, on Level 5 (Lot 5.04.00) of Pavilion Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur
- 5 Deluxe halls — the standard seats most people end up booking
- 1 IMAX with Laser hall — 4K laser projection with 12-channel sound
- 3 Indulge halls — two Premium Recliner halls plus one Bed Cinema using Coway Berex beds, with at-seat dining and an Indulge-only lounge
- 1 Beanie hall — beanbag seating, the casual, low-key option
- A skyline lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows facing Bangsar and Damansara Heights, plus a kids' play area
- The mall directory lists the cinema's hours as 10am to 12am
Getting there
Pavilion Damansara Heights connects by covered walkway to Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT station (KG13, Kajang Line). That matters more than it sounds: mall parking fills up on weekend evenings, and the cinema is five floors above the dining level, so the lift lobbies queue before a big opening.
Ways to pay less at TGV Pavilion Damansara Heights in October 2026
Every TGV offer carries the same line in its terms: not valid with other ongoing promotions. So the job is to pick the single best one for your session, not to stack them. Here they are, cheapest first.
1. RM10 ticket — Maybank Mastercard Debit card, Thursday to Sunday
Runs 1 January to 31 December 2026 at all TGV locations. Select the "Maybank Mastercard Single" ticket, then check out with a Maybank Mastercard debit card (not credit). It covers Thursday to Sunday sessions, max 2 tickets per transaction, with 3,000 promo tickets a week nationwide. Not valid for hall bookings, special screenings, events or concerts. TGV's booking button for this offer opens the Deluxe listings, so expect Deluxe halls, not IMAX or Indulge.
This is the weekend fix: the other RM10 fare (below) is weekday-only.
2. Mid Day Movies from RM10 — weekdays 12pm to 6pm
All year, all TGV locations, any sales channel (web, app, counter, kiosk). Deluxe single seats only (twin seats carry a surcharge), not on weekends or public holidays, and not for titles TGV marks Blockbuster or Super Blockbuster — so a big Marvel opening usually won't qualify. Early Bird sessions before 12pm are now also listed as "from RM10" on selected titles (TGV dropped the old RM9 floor).
3. RM12 for kids, seniors and OKU
Kids 12 and under, seniors 60 and above, and persons with disabilities (OKU) pay RM12 on all movies, every day, in standard halls, through any channel — "until further notice". For a family weekday matinee, a Mid Day RM10 adult seat plus RM12 kids' seats is about as low as TGV goes.
4. RM10 off IMAX — Maybank Mastercard credit card
Runs to 31 December 2026. Select the "Maybank Mastercard IMAX" ticket type and pay with a Maybank Mastercard credit card. Capped at 350 tickets a week nationwide, first come first served, max 2 tickets per transaction. Pavilion Damansara Heights is one of TGV's ten IMAX locations, so this is the discount that matters for the IMAX with Laser hall here.
5. Buy 1 free 1 — Affin credit card, Fridays and Saturdays (ends 31 October)
Runs 17 April to 31 October 2026, Friday and Saturday purchases only, while stocks last. Select one "B1F1 with Affin" ticket and pay with an Affin credit card. Deluxe single seats, 2D only — no IMAX, Premium Recliner, Bed Cinema or Beanie. 200 tickets a day nationwide, 2 per transaction, one promo transaction a week. After this weekend that leaves three Friday-Saturday pairs: 16-17, 23-24 and 30-31 October. TGV has not said whether it will be renewed.
6. Free popcorn combo — Maybank, this mall only
The one offer you won't find at any other TGV. From 14 September to 31 December 2026, Maybank cardholders who spend RM200 or more in a single receipt with a Maybank credit or charge card can claim one free TGV Signature Popcorn Combo at TGV Pavilion Damansara Heights. Redeem at the Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall Concierge, Level 2. Monday to Friday only, not on public holidays, first 40 cardholders a day, one redemption per cardholder per day.
Worked example: a RM210 weekday dinner-and-shopping receipt on a Maybank credit card gets you the combo. Book your film with the RM10 Maybank Debit fare on a Thursday or Friday and two people are in for RM20 in tickets plus free popcorn. The combo is claimed at the mall concierge rather than at ticket checkout, but its terms don't say whether it can be used alongside a TGV ticket promotion, so ask the concierge before you count on both.
7. Members Wednesday — RM2 off
MovieClub members get RM2 off every Wednesday, web and app only, Deluxe single seats, not on public holidays or their eves, and not for premieres, blockbusters or sneaks. It's the smallest saving here, so use it only when nothing above applies.
What's on at this cinema in October
- ALWAYS LALISA (from 12 October 2026) — MovieClub members who buy an IMAX ticket for the Lisa concert film at one of ten IMAX branches, including Pavilion Damansara Heights, get an exclusive keychain; any IMAX or Deluxe ticket for it gets a postcard. Collect at the ticket-tearing point from one hour before your session, while stocks last.
- Street Fighter blind boxes (from 8 October 2026) — this branch is on the list: RM30 for a Hasbro Street Fighter blind box, or RM40 with any one food combo, via web, app or the F&B counter.
- Glow & Go "Hot Girl Weekend" (Saturday 24 October 2026) — a TGV-run, women-only fitness and dance event at Pavilion Arena, Level 4, in the same mall. RM119 All-Access (pilates, KPopX fitness, glow dance party, movie voucher) or RM99 Rave Pass (no pilates), sold on TGV eShop, non-refundable.
Who this cinema suits — and who should skip it
Go if you want IMAX with Laser without the Mid Valley or Bukit Bintang crowd, if you're booking the Bed Cinema for a date night, if you're arriving by MRT, or if you already have a weekday Maybank receipt from the mall and want the free popcorn.
Skip it if you're purely chasing the cheapest ticket on a Saturday night. The RM10 fares stop at Deluxe halls, Affin ends on 31 October, and a walk-up premium seat at a high-end mall cinema is not a bargain. Book ahead for a group on an opening weekend: 1,310 seats across 10 halls go fast.
