TGV Pavilion Damansara Heights sits on Level 5 with 10 halls and 1,310 seats, including an IMAX with Laser screen, a Bed Cinema and a Beanie hall — and as of August 2026 there are three standing ways to pay less for a TGV ticket anywhere in Malaysia.

First, about HERO-CON 2026

HERO-CON 2026 (Spider-Man Edition) ran 29 July to 2 August 2026 at Pavilion Arena and the new TGV on Level 5. It is over. The free-entry fan convention, the TGV Heroic Quest trail that handed out free movie tickets, and the Hero-Con Passport lucky draw (Poh Kong gold and movie tickets) all closed with it, and TGV has not announced a second edition.

If you came here for those free tickets, they are gone. The discounts further down are live, apply at every TGV in the country, and don't need an event.

What TGV Pavilion Damansara Heights actually is

The cinema opened on 9 July 2026. It is TGV's third cinema with the Pavilion group and its 10th IMAX location nationwide.

  • 10 halls, 1,310 seats, on Level 5 (Lot 5.04.00) of Pavilion Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur
  • 5 Deluxe halls — the standard seats most people end up booking
  • 1 IMAX with Laser hall — 4K laser projection with 12-channel sound
  • 3 Indulge halls — two Premium Recliner halls plus one Bed Cinema using Coway Berex beds, with at-seat dining and an Indulge-only lounge
  • 1 Beanie hall — beanbag seating, the casual, low-key option
  • A skyline lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows facing Bangsar and Damansara Heights, plus a kids' play area
  • The mall directory lists the cinema's hours as 10am to 12am

Getting there

Pavilion Damansara Heights connects by covered walkway to Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT station (KG13, Kajang Line). That matters more than it sounds: mall parking fills up on weekend evenings, and the cinema is five floors above the dining level, so the lift lobbies queue before a big opening.

Three ways to pay less at TGV right now

1. RM10 off an IMAX ticket — Maybank Mastercard

Runs 1 January to 31 December 2026 at all TGV locations. At checkout you select the "Maybank Mastercard IMAX" ticket type, then pay with a Maybank Mastercard credit card.

The catch most people miss: it is capped at 350 tickets a week nationwide, first-come-first-served and while stocks last, with a maximum of 2 tickets per transaction. It is not valid for hall bookings, special screenings, events or concerts, and it does not stack with other TGV promotions. Since Pavilion Damansara Heights is one of only ten IMAX locations in the country, this is the discount that actually matters here.

2. Up to RM5 off — GrabPay or PayLater by Grab

Minimum spend RM40, capped at 1,000 transactions each for GrabPay and PayLater by Grab, and limited to one promo transaction per customer per month.

One honest caveat: TGV's own promo page heads this as running 17 August to 30 September 2026, while the terms and conditions printed directly underneath say 17 September to 30 September. The two don't agree. Late September is the only window both versions cover, so confirm in the TGV app before you count on it in August.

3. Buy 1 free 1 — Affin credit card, Fridays and Saturdays

Runs 17 April to 31 October 2026, on Friday and Saturday purchases only. Select one "B1F1 with Affin" ticket and check out with an Affin credit card.

Read the seat type before you get excited: it is Deluxe single seats in 2D format only. That rules out the IMAX with Laser hall, both Premium Recliner halls, the Bed Cinema and the Beanie hall at Pavilion Damansara Heights. It is capped at 200 tickets a day nationwide, 2 tickets per transaction, and one promotional transaction per week.

Movie-tied freebies this week

  • Spider-Man: Brand New Day weekly posters — from 20 August 2026, MovieClub members get one Week 4 poster for each Spider-Man ticket bought in the same transaction. Collect at the cinema you booked, from one hour before your session, while stocks last.
  • Paw Patrol 3: The Dino Movie — a sticker sheet with every JUNIOR ticket, from 20 August 2026, while stocks last.
  • TGV is also running a Daily Bugle prop giveaway on selected Spider-Man sessions and a free Tamil Mystery Screening.

Who this cinema suits — and who should skip it

Go if you want IMAX with Laser without the Mid Valley or Bukit Bintang crowd, if you're booking the Bed Cinema for a date night, or if you're already arriving by MRT and would rather not drive into Damansara Heights.

Skip it if you're purely chasing the cheapest ticket. The Affin buy-1-free-1 only covers Deluxe 2D seats, the Grab discount caps at RM5, and a walk-up seat at a premium-mall cinema is not a bargain. Skip it too for a large group on a Saturday night without booking ahead — 1,310 seats across 10 halls thins out fast on a Marvel opening weekend.

Fine print

  • TGV does not publish ticket prices on its cinema pages; they vary by hall type, day and session, so the seat-selection screen is the only reliable number.
