What changed on 31 August 2026

Thai Odyssey ran three campaigns through August. Two of them closed at the end of Merdeka Day:

  • RM69 off any pair of Full Body Services — 1-31 August 2026, all outlets, weekdays before 4pm plus Merdeka Day itself. Over.
  • Buy 3 Free 1 on a full-body-service 6-month Package or Service Voucher — 1-31 August 2026, and only at nine outlets (Datum Jelatek, Hextar World at Empire City, AEON Mall Cheras Selatan, Pelangi Avenue, Makhota Parade, Pearl Shopping Gallery, AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18, Sungei Wang Plaza and The Mines). Over — and Suria Sabah was never on that list.
  • Lunch Retreat, the RM49 half-body deal. Still running, through 31 October 2026.

Since 1 September the Packages page carries one new campaign: the Malaysia Day Promo, RM160 cashback and 900 loyalty points with every RM900 package, 1–30 September 2026, at all outlets (Suria Sabah included) and online. Package credit is valid only for non-promotional services, so it cannot pay for a Lunch Retreat slot. One caution if you go looking yourself: the page at thaiodyssey.com/promotion reads "There will be no promotion at the moment" and is not maintained — the live promotions and their full terms sit on the [Packages page](https://thaiodyssey.com/packages) instead.

The offer, exactly as the terms state it

  • The campaign is called "Lunch Retreat"
  • Half Body Massage, 30 minutes, RM49.00 before SST
  • Subject to 8% SST, so RM52.92 at the counter
  • Usual price is RM70 before SST, i.e. RM75.60 paid — so the real out-of-pocket saving is RM22.68, not RM21
  • 12:00pm to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday only, excluding public and replacement public holidays
  • Valid 1 August through 31 October 2026
  • Not valid for Service Voucher purchase — you cannot buy this at RM49 and bank it for later
  • Not stackable with existing packages or other ongoing offers, vouchers and promotions
  • One cashless method per transaction, unless combined with Cash Vouchers — so a Thai Odyssey RM50 or RM100 Cash Voucher can go toward the bill alongside a single card payment

Sabah: one outlet qualifies, and it isn't Imago

Thai Odyssey has two branches in Sabah, both in Kota Kinabalu. Only one is in the Lunch Retreat terms:

  • Suria Sabah Shopping Mall — participating. 2-34, 2-35 & part of 2-28A, Second Floor, Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, 1 Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, 88000 Kota Kinabalu. Tel 6088-221 098, open 10am-10pm daily.
  • Imago Shopping Mall — not participating. 1-47/48, First Floor, Imago Shopping Mall, KK Times Square Phase 2, off Coastal Highway, 88100 Kota Kinabalu. Tel 6088-205 577.

If you walk into Imago at 12.30pm expecting RM49, you will be quoted the standard RM70.

One false alarm worth knowing about: the raw HTML of Thai Odyssey's Sabah outlet page still contains a "TEMPORARILY CLOSED" label next to Suria Sabah — but it sits inside a commented-out block and does not render. The outlet is trading, and Suria Sabah's own Offers & Events page independently carries the Thai Odyssey promo listing for its second-floor tenant.

All 22 participating outlets

The terms name these, and only these:

  • Sabah: Suria Sabah Shopping Mall
  • Penang: Gurney Paragon, Straits Quay
  • Perak: AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18
  • Johor: JB City Square, Pelangi Avenue, Toppen Shopping Centre
  • Melaka: Makhota Parade
  • Negeri Sembilan: AEON Mall Nilai
  • Kuala Lumpur: 1 Mont Kiara, Berjaya Times Square, Concorde Hotel KL, Datum Jelatek, Sungei Wang Plaza
  • Selangor: 3 Damansara, Central i-City, Elmina Lakeside Mall, Hextar World at Empire City, IOI Mall Puchong, Sanctuary Mall, Seventeen Mall, plus the outlet the terms list as "Day Dream by Thai Odyssey" (the outlet directory names Thai Odyssey's 1 Utama signature spa as Dream Spa by Thai Odyssey — worth confirming by phone if that is the branch you plan to use)

A correction to an earlier version of this article: "3 Damansara" is a single mall in Petaling Jaya, not "three Damansara-area outlets". Thai Odyssey's Selangor directory lists it as one branch.

Twenty-two of Thai Odyssey's 63 Malaysian outlets across nine states are in — roughly one in three. Big-name branches that are not on the list include 1 Utama, Sunway Pyramid, The Curve, Mid Valley Megamall, Bangsar Shopping Centre, The Exchange TRX and Gateway@KLIA2.

Is RM49 actually good?

Thai Odyssey publishes its standard rates as Service Voucher prices on its own online store. The full rate card is tabled at the end of this article; every figure there is before 8% SST unless stated.

The 30-minute Half Body Massage is already the cheapest item on Thai Odyssey's menu at RM70 — the next cheapest, a 30-minute Traditional Foot Massage, is RM79. At RM49 the Lunch Retreat undercuts every other service by a wide margin, but it also locks you to the shortest session on the list: the 45-minute Half Body Massage at RM89 is not in the promotion, so upgrading on the day means paying RM96.12 in full.

One caveat on those rates: Thai Odyssey's voucher terms say prices are "standard value" and that customers bear the difference at its signature outlets. Suria Sabah is listed as a regular branch, so standard rates should apply, but confirm when you book if you are comparing against a signature spa.

The app now sits in the middle of this

Thai Odyssey launched a booking app, and its general terms now read "customers are encouraged to reserve via Thai Odyssey App or call outlet" — with a 10-minute grace period before your slot is released to the waiting list. That matters a lot for a 12pm-2pm window that only has two hours in it.

  • App: Thai Odyssey on the App Store and Google Play
  • Launch offer on the app's own banner: an additional 15-minute service for a RM10 top-up on your first app reservation, applicable to head/shoulder massage only, "while the campaign lasts" — no end date is published
  • The app also tracks package balance and loyalty points

Do not assume that RM10 top-up combines with the RM49 rate: the Lunch Retreat terms explicitly rule out stacking with other ongoing offers. Ask at the counter before you commit.

Loyalty programme, for context: RM10 to register (waived when you bought into the Buy 3 Free 1 promotion in August), RM1 spent equals 1 point excluding SST, and points expire 12 months from the month of purchase — though the clock resets from your most recent purchase while the account stays active.

Who this suits, and who should skip it

Worth it if you: work or shop near Suria Sabah and can actually be on a table between 12pm and 2pm on a weekday; want a low-commitment first try of the chain; are a tourist with a midday gap between a morning at the waterfront and an afternoon island run.

Skip it if you: can only go evenings or weekends (standard rates apply, no exception); want a full-body session — the August RM69 pair deal was the one for that and it has closed; want to buy it as a gift voucher (expressly excluded); already hold a Thai Odyssey package, since the promotion does not stack with it; or are nearer Imago than Suria Sabah, where the price is simply RM70.

If you go often, Thai Odyssey's standing prepaid packages are a separate route: Single RM1,000 for RM100 cashback and 1,000 loyalty points over 12 months; Couple RM2,000 for RM250 cashback and 2,000 points over 18 months; Family RM3,000 for RM400 cashback and 3,000 points over 24 months. An 8% SST charge applies on top-up, and package credit cannot be combined with this promotion.

While you're at Suria Sabah

Thai Odyssey sits on the second floor. These mall offers, listed on Suria Sabah's own Offers & Events page, run past 31 August, so they are still there when you come for a lunch-hour massage in September or October:

  • Kidzooona (3rd floor) — admission cut to RM28 weekdays / RM38 weekends, 15 August to 15 October 2026, plus 20% off any admission after 5pm on weekdays
  • Lea Centre (3rd floor) — grand stock clearance, up to 50% off, 21 August to 17 September 2026
  • Fitness Concept (2nd floor, same level as Thai Odyssey) — mega sale up to 60% off home gym gear, until 30 September 2026
  • POPULAR (3rd floor) — Comic Carnival 6.0, 10% rebate on selected comic books, until 30 September 2026
  • DRUM (1st floor) — spend RM100 save RM16, RM200 save RM31, RM300 save RM57, 20 August to 16 September 2026
  • Rip Curl (lower ground) — selected styles from RM69, 7 August to 20 September 2026
  • Sports Direct (1st floor) — RM69 rebate on Karrimor, USA Pro and Everlast, 17 August to 6 September 2026
  • Sushihan (ground floor) — free RM10 dining voucher, until 17 September 2026
  • AC Beauty Lane (2nd floor) — Hydro Bubble facial at RM199 against a normal RM388, no end date published

The homepage campaign banner carries the same figures. Outlet addresses, telephone numbers and the 10am-10pm hours come from Thai Odyssey's Sabah outlet page, and the 63-outlet chain count from its state-by-state outlet directory. Standard service prices come from the Service Voucher rate card on Thai Odyssey's own online store. Suria Sabah's tenant promotions and mall hours come from the mall's Offers & Events page, which also carries Thai Odyssey's own listing. App store IDs were confirmed on the App Store and Google Play.
