Thai Odyssey AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18 now has two different offers — the RM49 Lunch Retreat, until 31 October, and the Malaysia Day Promo, RM160 cashback on a RM900 package, until 30 September. They suit different people, and they do not combine.

What's running at Thai Odyssey Ipoh now

  • Lunch Retreat — RM49 for a 30-minute Half Body Massage, usually RM70. Both prices are before 8% SST, so you pay RM52.92 instead of RM75.60, a saving of RM22.68 (30%). It runs 12pm–2pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public and replacement public holidays, until 31 October 2026. The terms name 22 outlets, and "AEON Mall Ipoh Station18" is one of them.
  • Malaysia Day Promo — RM160 cashback and 900 loyalty points with every RM900 package, 1–30 September 2026, valid at all Thai Odyssey outlets and on the chain's online store (thaiodysseystore.com). It counts for a new package sign-up or a top-up of an existing one.

One trap if you check for yourself: thaiodyssey.com/promotion still says "There will be no promotion at the moment". It is not maintained. The live offers and their full terms sit on the chain's Packages page.

The Lunch Retreat, step by step

  1. Book a slot that starts between 12pm and 2pm on a weekday. Thai Odyssey's terms encourage booking through its app or by calling the outlet. The app takes same-day bookings up to two months ahead with instant confirmation; email bookings need two days' notice and are confirmed within 48 hours.
  2. Be on time. There is a 10-minute grace period, after which the slot goes to the next person on the waiting list — and a two-hour window does not leave much room to rebook.
  3. Pay RM52.92. One cashless payment method per transaction, which can be combined with Thai Odyssey Cash Vouchers.

What it is not: it cannot be bought as a Service Voucher and saved for later, it does not stack with packages or other offers, and it covers only the 30-minute session — the 45-minute Half Body Massage stays at its menu price of RM89.

Malaysia Day note: 16 September 2026 is a Wednesday, but it is a public holiday, so the RM49 rate does not apply that day. The day before, Tuesday 15 September, is an ordinary weekday for the offer — and, as a public-holiday eve, the Ipoh outlet stays open until 10.30pm.

The RM900 Malaysia Day package, worked out

The terms: pay RM900 plus a one-time 8% SST, so RM972 in total. You receive RM900 of package credit, RM160 cashback credited to your account, and 900 loyalty points (RM1 = 1 point, before SST). The credit is valid for 12 months at any outlet, with no extension, and the RM10 loyalty-programme registration fee is waived.

What RM1,060 of credit buys at the standard rates on Thai Odyssey's own online store (before SST):

  • Seven 60-minute Thai Traditional massages (RM140 each, RM980) plus a 30-minute Traditional Foot Massage (RM79) — RM1 left over.
  • Or six 90-minute Thai Traditional massages (RM169 each, RM1,014) — RM46 left.
  • Or six 60-minute Thai Aromatherapy massages (RM160 each, RM960) — RM100 left.

Paid visit by visit, the first basket is RM1,059 before SST, or RM1,143.72 at the till. Through the package it costs RM972 — RM171.72 less, about 15%, because the terms charge SST once, when you buy. The price of that saving is commitment: roughly eight visits inside 12 months, with no extension if life gets in the way.

Against Thai Odyssey's standing packages (table below), the September deal is the best rate on the ladder and the cheapest way onto it. Single (RM1,000) adds RM100, Couple (RM2,000) RM250 and Family (RM3,000) RM400 — 9.1%, 11.1% and 11.8% of the credit you end up holding, against 15.1% for the RM900 Malaysia Day package.

The rule that matters most: package credit is valid only for non-promotional à la carte services, products and service vouchers. It cannot pay for the RM49 Lunch Retreat. If a short weekday-lunch massage is all you want, the package is the wrong tool.

Which one suits you

  • Take the Lunch Retreat if you work or shop near Station 18, can be on a table between 12pm and 2pm on a weekday, and want one short session with no commitment. At RM52.92 it is the cheapest way into the chain.
  • Take the RM900 package if you already go about once a month for 60- or 90-minute full-body treatments, or you mostly go in the evening or at weekends, which the lunch deal never covers.
  • Skip both if you want a single full-body massage this month. The RM69 pair deal that suited that has ended, and there is currently no one-visit discount on full-body services — a 60-minute Thai Traditional is RM140, or RM151.20 with SST.

What ended on 31 August

  • RM69 off any pair of two full-body services ("Celebrating 69 Years of Merdeka"), 1–31 August 2026, all outlets, weekdays before 4pm plus Merdeka Day itself.
  • Buy 3 Free 1 on full-body services, 1–31 August 2026, at nine outlets including AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18.

Neither appears on Thai Odyssey's Packages page any more. If an old post or a screenshot quotes them, they no longer apply.

Ipoh outlet details

Thai Odyssey AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18 is at S01, Second Floor, AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18, No 2, Susuran Stesen 18, Station 18, 31650 Ipoh, Perak — 605-360 8877. It opens 10am–10pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am–10.30pm on Fridays, Saturdays and public-holiday eves. It is the only branch on Thai Odyssey's Perak outlet page.

AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18's own events page lists:

  • Mid-Autumn Festival, Sunday 20 September, 12.30pm–9pm, South Court, ground floor — a lantern parade with free lanterns and goodies for the first 500 participants, a lantern-making contest, and a colouring contest for children aged 5–12.
  • Largest Kimono Gathering, Saturday 26 September — a Malaysia Book of Records attempt, open to any Japanese traditional wear; registered participants receive a knit bag.
  • Batik Run, Sunday 18 October, flag-off 7.30am — RM34.90 super early bird (100 slots) or RM39.90 early bird, registration on JomRun.

All three fall on weekends, when the RM49 lunch rate does not run, so a massage on those days is at menu price or on package credit.

Fine print

  • All Thai Odyssey prices here are before 8% SST.
  • Lunch Retreat: weekdays 12pm–2pm only; no public or replacement holidays; not valid for Service Voucher purchase; not stackable with packages, vouchers or other offers.
  • Malaysia Day Promo: RM900 new sign-up or top-up; 12-month validity, no extension; not refundable or exchangeable for cash; not stackable with vouchers or promotions; one cashless payment per transaction unless combined with a Cash Voucher in store.
  • Loyalty points expire 12 months from the month of purchase, but the date rolls forward whenever the account makes a purchase.
