Ipoh has a long reflexology habit. Rows of foot massage shops sit around Ipoh Garden, Greentown and the old town, and Tambun's hot springs pull in weekend spa traffic from KL and Penang. Prices, though, are far less public here than in KL or Kota Kinabalu. Most of the walk-in reflexology shops do not publish a price list on any channel they run, and Fresha, the booking platform that lists dozens of KL and KK spas, carries only a handful of Ipoh venues.
So this list is shorter than our other city guides. We read the published menus of five Ipoh and Tambun spas on 2 November 2026, on each operator's own website, online store or Fresha page, and we left out every shop whose prices we could only find in old blog posts.
How to choose a massage in Ipoh
Decide what kind of massage you want. Ipoh's options split three ways: Malay urut at Muslim-friendly centres such as SK Wellness and D'Alam, Thai massage at the Thai Odyssey chain, and resort spas in Tambun. The cheapest published hour of reflexology in this list (RM88 for SK Wellness members) and the most expensive (RM325 at The Banjaran) are only 20 minutes' drive apart.
Check for member prices. SK Wellness shows two prices for everything. The lower one needs a membership that costs RM10 a year and can be shared with one family member, so a single visit already pays for it.
Read the tax line. Thai Odyssey's prices are subject to 8% SST, so an RM109 foot massage costs about RM117.72 at the counter. The Banjaran's day-spa packages are stated as nett. SK Wellness, D'Alam, Crystal Spa and The Banjaran's à la carte menu do not say either way, so ask when you book.
Book ahead for Tambun. The Banjaran's day-spa packages need at least 48 hours' notice. Crystal Spa only opens at 6pm on Tuesdays.
About the walk-in shops. Older blog reviews put an hour of foot reflexology at the independent shops at around RM40 to RM45, but those figures are undated and none of the shops publishes a current list, so we have not named them here. If a shop's price matters to you, ask for the rate before you sit down.
A worked example
One hour of foot reflexology on a Saturday afternoon costs RM98 at SK Wellness if you join that day (RM88 plus the RM10 membership), RM117.72 at Thai Odyssey with SST, RM120 at Crystal Spa and RM325 at The Banjaran. If you plan to treat the family to massages over the year-end holidays, five Thai Odyssey service vouchers bought before 30 November come with 15% off, so a RM109 foot massage voucher works out at about RM92.65 before SST.
