> Quick view: The Danna Langkawi, a colonial-style beachfront resort at Telaga Harbour, is selling a rate only for Malaysia and Singapore residents for stays from 1 October to 30 November 2026. It starts at RM1,188 a night for a Merchant King room, and on the resort's own booking engine it comes out about 45% below the best available bed-and-breakfast rate for the same room and dates. Breakfast, airport transfers and a daily resort credit are included.

What it actually costs
We priced the offer on The Danna's official booking engine on 9 October 2026, for two adults. The figures below are per night and include the RM10 local council fee the engine adds to every night.
- Merchant King: RM1,198 (best available rate RM2,160)
- Grand Marina View: RM1,298 (RM2,360)
- Viceroy King Seaview: RM1,448 (RM2,560)
- Grand Corner Duchess Sea View suite, with outdoor jacuzzi: RM1,898 (RM3,060)
- Countess Seaview Suite: RM2,098 (RM3,410)
- Merchant 2-Bedroom Suite: RM2,548 (RM4,010)
- Princess Beach Villa with private pool: RM3,898 (RM6,714)
The Merchant King came out at the same RM1,198 on a Saturday night in October (24 Oct) and on weeknights in November (10-13 Nov). Rates are live and can change once rooms sell, so treat these as a snapshot.
How to book it
- Go to thedanna.com and choose Book Now, or open the offer page under Special Offers.
- Enter your dates between 1 October and 30 November 2026.
- Pick the rate named Danna Limited Time Offer [Malaysia & Singapore Residents] under your room type. The same room also shows the Getaway, Stay 3 Pay 2 and best available rates, so check the label before you click.
- You guarantee the booking with a credit card. The reservations team then sends a payment link and charges the full amount 30 days before arrival.
Worked examples
A couple, two weeknights in a Merchant King. 2 x RM1,198 = RM2,396. You get RM200 of resort credit over the two nights, which covers a good part of one dinner. The best available rate for the same stay is RM4,320.
Three nights, 10-13 November. On the Merchant King, the residents' rate totals RM3,594. The resort's Stay 3 Pay 2 offer for the same dates is RM4,330 and cannot be cancelled or changed, and the best available rate is RM6,480. For Malaysians, the residents' rate is the cheapest of the three and the only one that is refundable up to 30 days out.
A family of four in the Merchant 2-Bedroom Suite. RM2,548 a night includes breakfast for four and the RM200 daily suite credit. Two nights come to RM5,096, against RM8,020 at the best available rate.
Versus The Danna Getaway. The resort's other public offer, "up to 30% off", was RM1,386 for the Merchant King on 24 October. The residents' rate was RM188 cheaper that night with the same inclusions.
Who it's good for, and who should skip it
Good for: Malaysians and Singapore residents who want a proper luxury stay in Langkawi without paying full rack rate. It suits couples who will use the daily credit at the restaurants or spa, and families who can use the two-bedroom suite with breakfast for four.
Skip it if: your dates are not fixed. The cancellation rules are strict, and the cheaper price is not worth much if you lose the whole stay. Skip it too if you only need a bed to sleep in, since Langkawi has plenty of comfortable hotels for a fraction of this price.
Fine print that trips people up
- The 30-day cut-off. Free cancellation ends at 2pm, 30 days before arrival. For any stay starting before about 9 November, that deadline has already passed, so the booking is final from the moment you make it. That includes Deepavali weekend stays around Sunday 8 November.
- "From RM1,188" becomes RM1,198. The booking engine adds a RM10 local council fee per night.
- Tourism tax for Singaporeans. A RM10 per night tourism tax is collected at check-in. Malaysians with MyKad and MyPR holders are exempt.
- Resident proof. The offer page does not say what proof it asks for. Bring your MyKad, or Singapore NRIC or proof of residence, in case the front desk checks.
- The credit is use-it-or-lose-it. It cannot be swapped for cash, in full or in part.
- Extra beds cost extra. The Merchant, Marina, Viceroy Seaview, Grand Viceroy and Grand Corner Duchess rooms allow one extra bed only: RM200 a night for an adult or RM44 for a child aged 6 to 11.
- Weather. September and October are usually Langkawi's wettest months, and the drier season starts from around November. If beach days matter, the later dates in the window are the safer bet.
