> Quick view: Toys"R"Us Malaysia is running a Clearance sale from 7 October to 1 November 2026, in stores and online. The poster promises up to 50% off selected items for Star Card members. The online clearance section actually lists about 400 priced products, and when we checked on 15 October the median cut was around 61%. Clearance purchases are final.

Toys"R"Us announced the sale on its official Facebook page this week: clearance prices "now happening" at its stores and on its website, from 7 October to 1 November 2026, terms apply and while stocks last. The poster carries one detail the caption leaves out. It is stamped "Exclusive for Star Card Members", and the online shop agrees: every clearance price on toysrus.com.my is labelled as a members sale price.

With Deepavali on 8 November and Christmas after that, this is a good window for gifts. It works best if you know exactly what you are buying, because nothing can come back.

How it works, step by step

  1. Get a Star Card. The Toys"R"Us Star Card page says you can download the app and become a member instantly. It lists no joining fee. Do this before you reach the counter or checkout.
  2. Browse the clearance list online first. The section is at toysrus.com.my under Promotions, Clearance Sales. It showed 425 products on 15 October, with the original price struck through next to the member price.
  3. Choose how to buy. Order online for delivery, use Click & Collect to pick up at a store, or walk into one of the 41 stores on the locator. The Facebook post says the sale runs both in store and online, but product ranges can differ between the two. If one item matters, check before you travel.
  4. Pay and keep the receipt. Star Card members earn 1 Star Point per RM1 spent, and 400 points convert to RM10 Star Cash. The sale terms do not say whether clearance spend earns points, so treat any points as a bonus.

What the discounts really look like

The poster says up to 50%, but the online list goes further. Of 401 products with both prices shown on 15 October, 109 were exactly half price and 257 were cut by more than 50%. The deepest cuts are on licensed collectibles. Toys"R"Us is clearing 104 Genshin Impact items (badges, acrylic stands, keychains), many at RM5 to RM15, with a median cut of about 77%. Mainstream Mattel lines are discounted much less. Barbie and UNO mostly sit around 30% to 40% off.

A few real examples from the list:

  • Crayola Air Dry Clay 2.5lb: RM79.99 down to RM24.00 (70% off)
  • Rubik's 50th Anniversary Retro 3x3 Cube: RM89.99 down to RM27.00
  • Super Wings Transforming Golden Girl: RM89.99 down to RM45.00
  • Mega Pokemon Motion Butterfree: RM529.99 down to RM159.00
  • Intex Jurassic Adventure Play Center: RM373.99 down to RM145.00
  • Sumikkogurashi Shirokuma Soft Toy (Jumbo): RM329.99 down to RM165.00
  • Barbie Basic Doll (assorted): RM34.90 down to RM24.50, only about 30% off
  • Cars GRC Jumping Raceway Playset: RM299.90 down to RM199.50

Worked examples

A Christmas gift for a 10-year-old: the Mega Pokemon Butterfree (RM159), a Rubik's Retro cube (RM27) and a Crayola Wixels Animal Kit (RM43.50) come to RM229.50. At the struck-through prices the same three would be RM764.97.

Birthday party goodie bags for 10 kids: J. Dream gashapon packs are RM7.50 each on clearance (from RM16.99), so ten cost RM75 instead of RM169.90. Add a Bunch O Balloons Fast Fill Party Pack at RM70 (from RM149.99) for the garden.

A rainy-weekend craft box: Crayola Air Dry Clay (RM24) plus the Crayola Paw Patrol Imagination Art Set (RM95) is RM119, against RM316.98 before the cut.

Who it is good for, and who should skip it

It suits parents stocking up for year-end gifts and party bags, anime and game fans hunting cheap Genshin Impact merchandise, and anyone who wants pool or outdoor toys at 60% off. Intex floats and Bunch O Balloons are on the list.

Skip it if you are after LEGO itself. On 15 October the building-block clearance had no LEGO-brand sets, only brands such as playpop, JAKI and Mega. Skip it too if the child has not chosen yet, because a wrong guess cannot be exchanged.

The fine print that trips people up

  • No refunds or exchanges. Toys"R"Us's returns policy excludes discounted and clearance merchandise. Collectibles, blind boxes, electronics and app-controlled toys cannot be returned at full price either.
  • Member prices only. Without a Star Card, the price you see at the counter may not be the clearance price.
  • Online delivery takes time. Regular delivery is 5 to 7 working days on weekdays only. It is not available for orders over RM1,000 nett or for bulky items, which take 7 to 14 working days. Toys"R"Us cannot deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers, and the shipping fee only shows in your cart after you log in.
  • Click & Collect is not instant. Stores can take 2 to 3 days to confirm your order is ready, so do not leave a 1 November pickup to 31 October.
  • Stock moves fast. The list is "while stocks last", and popular plush lines like Sumikkogurashi will go first.

Where to go

The store locator lists 41 Toys"R"Us stores. In the Klang Valley they include KLCC, Pavilion KL, Mid Valley Megamall, 1 Utama, Sunway Pyramid, MyTown, IOI City Mall and Paradigm Mall. Elsewhere there are stores at Gurney Plaza and Queensbay Mall in Penang, AEON Mall Tebrau City and Mid Valley Southkey in Johor Bahru, East Coast Mall in Kuantan, AEON Kuching and The Spring in Kuching, Bintang Plaza in Miri and IMAGO in Kota Kinabalu. The customer hotline is 03-5885 9333.
