Hasbro Best Buy carries on to 31 October, with a separate Furby Furblets 2 for RM70 offer. We priced every item on 3 October.

What happened to Merdeka Deals

It ended on schedule. The campaign ran 11 August to 30 September 2026, and on 3 October its landing page at /promotions/merdeka-deals-2026/ returns no products. The rest of the site's sale has shrunk with it: the Sale section held 1,402 Merdeka items alone on 23 September, and on 3 October the whole Sale section holds 441 items. If you had a Merdeka price saved, assume it is gone and check the product page again.

What replaced it is narrower. Instead of one sitewide campaign, October is three themed offers running side by side, all read off the Toys“R”Us homepage carousel artwork on 3 October.

Thrill the Racing Fest: 1 October to 1 November 2026

This is the main event, and it is all about vehicles: Rastar licensed RC and brick cars, playpop RC toys, Hot Wheels tracks, Speed City playsets, LEGO Speed Champions and F1 sets, Carrera Mario Kart RC, Mini GT, Tomica, Matchbox and Jada.

  • 179 products in the category on 3 October, priced from RM9.50 to RM422.91, median price RM109.50.
  • 166 are discounted, median 21.2%. Only 23 reach 50% off, and 41 are cut by less than 20%.
  • 165 carry the red "members sale price" badge, so this is a Star Card sale. Exactly one discounted item needs no card: the playpop Radio-Controlled Mini Off-Roader, RM100.95 to RM69.99.
  • 13 items are not discounted at all, mostly new playpop RC lines and all six Mini GT 1:64 models (RM60 to RM100).

The discount depends heavily on the brand, so read it by shelf, not by banner:

  • Rastar (42 items): median 39.1%, the deepest shelf. The Rastar 1:10 Hummer EV Bricks Car is RM319.50 from RM1,403.95 and the 1:8 Audi R8 LMS Bricks Car RM319.50 from RM1,247.95. The 1:32 Transformable Mercedes-Benz GT3 and Pagani Zonda R are RM34.50 each, from RM69.99.
  • Speed City (13 items, a Toys“R”Us exclusive): median 50%. The five Speed City Mini playsets (gas station, car wash, fast food, repair centre, auto services) are RM9.50 each from RM18.99, the cheapest racing item in the event.
  • playpop (55 items): median 21.2%, ranging 10% to 47%.
  • Hot Wheels (17 items): median 15.2%. City Stunt Garage RM129.50 from RM149.90; Hot Ones Turbo Tubes RM199.50 from RM249.90. The outlier is the Hot Wheels Ultra Hots Blast Launch Face-Off at RM66.50 from RM333.99.
  • LEGO (11 items): a flat 10%. Speed Champions F1 cars (77242 Ferrari SF-24, 77243 Red Bull RB20, 77251 McLaren MCL38, 77246 VCARB 01) are RM116.91 from RM129.90; the LEGO City F1 Truck 60445 is RM422.91 from RM469.90. During Merdeka, LEGO was 20% and F1 was excluded; now F1 is in, at half the rate.
  • Carrera Mario Kart RC (5 items): 20%. Mini RC Mario, Toad and Yoshi RM111.50 from RM139.99.

A word on the deepest numbers. Toys“R”Us's website strike-through has run higher than the price printed in its own catalogue for the same stock number before (we found four such items in the Merdeka R Deals table), so an 80% or 77% cut against a RM1,000-plus "was" price is the site's figure, not ours. The sale price is what you pay; judge it against what the toy sells for elsewhere.

Hasbro Best Buy: to 31 October 2026

Running since 1 September, unchanged in shape: 30 items from Play-Doh, NERF, Monopoly, Hasbro Games, Transformers, Peppa Pig, Marvel and Furby, members prices 21% to 30% off, median 23.7%. Examples: Jenga RM69.50 from RM94.90, Monopoly Harry Potter RM144.50 from RM189.90, Game of Life Super Mario RM134.50 from RM179.90, NERF Elite 2.0 Shockwave RD-15 RM114.50 from RM149.90, Transformers Swapticons RM24.50 from RM34.90 (the deepest, 30%).

The one Hasbro line with no member price is Furby Furblets (assorted, SKN 34589) at RM49.90, and that is because it has its own banner offer: Buy 2 at RM70, 1 September to 31 October 2026. That works out to RM35 each, RM29.80 saved on the pair, or 29.9%. One Furblet on its own stays at RM49.90, so this only pays if you want two. The DJ Furblets are a different line, members price RM39.50 from RM54.90.

Everything else on sale

Take the Racing Fest and Hasbro items out of the 441-item Sale section and 247 items are left, median 25.4% off. Barbie is the biggest block (53 items), then Keeppley building sets (28), Disney Princess (19), Masters of the Universe (17) and Fisher-Price (16). The deepest are character model kits and Keeppley sets in the 52–61% range, for example Keeppley Sanrio shops at RM62.50 from RM129.90 and the Pokémon Prime Gengar figure at RM104.50 from RM269.90. Every one of the 441 carries the members badge.

Is the Star Card worth it for October?

Yes, if you are buying anything here: all 441 Sale-section prices and 165 of the 166 Racing Fest discounts need it. Toys“R”Us's Star Card gives RM1 = 1 Star Point, and 400 points redeem RM10 Star Cash (2.5% back), plus member pricing and a 21-day exchange and returns policy. The site points new members to the Toys“R”Us app for instant sign-up; do it before you queue.

Who it suits, who should skip

Go if you are buying a car, track or RC toy, especially Rastar or Speed City, where the cuts are real at 39% and 50% medians; if you want two Furblets; or if an October birthday needs a board game or NERF blaster from the Hasbro shelf.

Skip it if you were waiting for LEGO, because LEGO is a flat 10% in the Racing Fest and in the Sale section, half the 20% it was during Merdeka. Skip it for Mini GT and new playpop RC lines, which are inside the event at full price. And do not expect Merdeka-depth bargains: 50%-off items numbered 161 in Merdeka alone on 23 September, and the whole Sale section holds 40 now.

Where to buy

The store locator still lists 42 Toys“R”Us stores on 3 October: 14 in Kuala Lumpur, 11 in Selangor, one in Putrajaya, four each in Johor and Pulau Pinang, three in Sarawak and one each in Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Kelantan, Kedah and Sabah. Melaka, Perak, Perlis, Terengganu and Labuan have no store, so October is online-only there.

East Malaysia shoppers should note that Toys“R”Us catalogues print separate (EM) prices for some lines and state that prices may differ in East Malaysia. The website shows only the Peninsular price.

  • Prices are members prices unless the tile says "reduced"; you must be signed in or show your Star Card.
  • Both homepage banners say "Terms & Conditions apply. While stocks last."
  • The Furblets 2 for RM70 is tied to SKN 34589 only.
  • Racing Fest ends 1 November; Hasbro Best Buy and the Furblets offer end a day earlier, 31 October.
