Pest Control in KL & Klang Valley 2026: The Licence Almost Nobody Checks, and the Two Firms That Actually Publish a Price
Spraying somebody else's house for money is a licensed activity in Malaysia. It has been since 19 February 2004, when the Pesticides (Pest Control Operator) Rules came into force under the Pesticides Act 1974. Three separate licences exist, the operator's copy must be displayed at the address printed on it, the applicator's copy must be worn on the job, and you are legally owed a written report the moment the work is finished. We read eight Klang Valley operators against their own websites this week. Exactly one prints its pest control operator licence number. Exactly two publish a price you can read without picking up the phone, and they sit at opposite ends of the market: a rate card starting at RM160, and a year of termite baiting sold in a shopping cart for RM2,288.
