> Quick view: AEON Mall KL Midtown opens on Thursday 5 November 2026 with a free bag for the first 1,000 customers, three collectible gifts from RM100 of F&B spend until 12 November, a free stamp game, four days of shows, and a RM300 contest with a Mercedes-Benz among the prizes. The offers are about gifts and prize draws. The mall has not published a storewide discount, so go for the new mall and the collectibles, and don't expect mall-wide markdowns.

AEON describes this as its 28th mall in Malaysia, with about 367,000 sq ft of net lettable area and a 1.5-acre rooftop linear park. It sits inside KL Metropolis, the mixed-use development beside MITEC. The mall's directory lists floors from Lower Ground up to Level 5M. Names already published include Uniqlo, Sephora, Starbucks, Levi's, Komehyo, FamilyMart, Krispy Kreme, ZUS Signature, Baskin Robbins, L'Occitane, Chateraise and Sari Ratu. So far the directory only shows tenants up to Level 3, so check the mall's page if you are going for a specific shop. One tenant above that is Sushiro, on Level 4, with otoro at RM7.80 from 5 to 15 November.
The opening offers, from cheapest to dearest
All three spend-and-redeem gifts run 5-12 November 2026, are first come, first served, and let you combine up to three same-day receipts from any tenants, including the AEON store.
- Free bag: the first 1,000 customers get a Sumikko Gurashi paper bag and an Opening Privilege Pack booklet. The poster states no spend.
- Kawaii Magnet: collect a stamp book at the Information Counter, visit participating tenants, and redeem at the same counter. The mall's wording is "collect all 8 stamps". No spend is stated.
- Sakura Bloom Keychain: RM100 for AEON cardholders or AEON Wallet users, RM200 for others. This one counts food and beverage spend only.
- Fuku-Sakura Charm Pouch: RM300 for AEON cardholders or Wallet users, RM500 for others.
- KL Midtown Buddies (Wira and Manja bears): RM600 for AEON cardholders or Wallet users, RM800 for others.
How the Drive Your Dream contest works
Contest entry is separate from the gifts and runs far longer, from 5 November 2026 to 11 February 2027. Spend at least RM300 in no more than two same-day receipts at any tenant, then submit your entry. Non-AEON members get 1 entry, AEON members get 2, and members paying with selected AEON cards or AEON Wallet get 3. Entries are credited according to your payment method.
Prizes listed are a Mercedes-Benz, a TV, smartphones and tablets, plus gift vouchers. The mall has not published the car model, the number of prizes or the draw date on the campaign page.
Worked examples
RM100 on two meals, AEON cardholder. A RM60 lunch plus a RM40 coffee stop, both F&B on the same day, reaches the keychain. A non-cardholder needs RM200 of F&B for the same keychain.
RM300 on three receipts. RM150 at the AEON store, RM100 at Uniqlo and RM50 at ZUS Signature reaches the pouch for a cardholder. It earns no contest entry, because the contest stops at two receipts.
RM300 on two receipts. RM200 at the AEON store and RM100 at Uniqlo meets both limits. Paid with a selected AEON card or AEON Wallet by a member, that is 3 contest entries, and the spend also reaches the pouch threshold. A non-member with the same two receipts gets 1 entry and is RM200 short of the pouch.
A note on these examples: the published posters do not say whether one receipt can count towards both a gift and the contest, or towards two gifts. Ask at the Information Counter before you plan around stacking them.

Who it suits, and who should skip it
It suits people living around Dutamas, Mont Kiara, Segambut and Sri Hartamas, collectors who want the bears or the pouch, and families who want the free shows. If you already plan a big grocery or Uniqlo run, the same spend can earn you a gift.
Skip the trip if you only want low prices, because no mall-wide discount has been published. Also skip the temptation to overspend for a bear: RM600 is a lot to spend in a day unless you were buying those things anyway.
The fine print that trips people up
- Cardholder wording: the gift tiers read "AEON Cardholders/AEON Wallet Users", while the contest reads "member" and "pay using selected AEON cards or AEON Wallet". To be safe, pay with the card or Wallet, not just show it.
- Joining: AEON's membership page says you register as a member through the AEON Wallet Malaysia app. Do this at home before you queue.
- Date mismatch: the Buddies card on the mall's page shows 5-29 November in its header, but the poster and post both say 5-12 November. Treat 12 November as the deadline.
- Free bag timing: the listing runs 5-10 November, but the mall does not say whether 1,000 is a daily or total limit. Treat it as total and go early.
- Same day: receipts must be same-day, so spend from two visits cannot be combined.
- Getting there: the planned MRT3 station is not running yet, so most visitors will drive via SPRINT, DUKE, NKVE or Penchala Link. The mall's page lists no parking rates yet.
- Hours: Sunday to Thursday 10am-10pm, and Friday, Saturday and public holiday eves 10am-11pm.
- Terms: the full T&Cs are not on the campaign pages. AEON's careline is 1-300-80-2366.
